Abstract

Business environment with continual changing and tight competition required each organization to survive and win the competition. Organizations are required to learn and to grow in gaining competitive advantage. Organization’s ability to survive is determined by the ability of organizations to change, adapt to changing business environment and potential changes that could occur in the future. This study describes the process of change that happened on one of a state owned company in Indonesia with 17 (seventeen) diagnosed key elements of the changes model by using the Readiness for Change by Stewart. From the diagnosed process, it could be seen the changes had been taken place so far and the reaction or response from the organization players, which can be useful in searching for factors that can support and hinder the implementation of change within an organization and how much GAP happened. The better reaction from the players would give the organization positive implications on employee performance and also the performance of the organization. The type of research is using explanatory. This research used a case study, using interviews, observation and screening the company’s internal documents to obtain necessary data.Keywords:      organization change, readiness for change model, 17 (seventeen) key elements, employee performances, organization performance

Abstract

Global competition in the digital era is currently encouraging Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia to develop innovations to provide competitive advantage. SMEs must be able to be adaptive to be able to absorb knowledge, especially in the field of technology. The use of social networking sites can provide a lot of information about individuals and networks that can be used for business purposes. The purpose of this study was to show the relevance of absorptive capacity and the role of social networking sites towards innovations conducted by SMEs. This research is a quantitative by using survey method processed through Partial Least Square (PLS) - Path Modeling that measures absorptive capacity relationships, social networking sites with innovation performance. One hundred (100) questionnaires have been distributed to SMEs in Indonesia. Research results show that the increased absorptive capacity of SMEs through social networking sites can improve innovation performance. Therefore, several recommendations are needed so those SMEs in Indonesia know what must be done to strengthen innovation performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of knowledge sharing, absorptive capacity, and individual creativity on innovation performance in manufacturing companies in East Java. This writing is quantitative writing with the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) data processing method using SPSS 23.0 software to test the validity and reliability at an early stage and using PLS 3.0 software to test the research model. This writing method was carried out by distributing online questionnaires to 150 respondents in East Java who carried out knowledge sharing, absorptive capacity, individual creativity, and innovation performance activities in manufacturing companies. The sample used in this paper is the owner, director, manager, or department head of an East Java manufacturing company. The results of this study will show several factors that have a significant positive effect on innovation performance.
