Abstract

This paper discusses on the contribution of Indonesian Islam in the context of socio-cultural identity. Muslim is a large social identity which represent to citizenship identification in Indonesian context. The dynamic of Indonesian Muslim that have special status is interesting to be investigated about socio-cultural identity. Actually, both in the Qur’an and the substantive level, Islam expression can be diverse. It could be considered Islamic expression of its role, character, approach and region. This paper records the results of research that has addressed the varietyproblem of Islamic identity in terms of region. The data was collected through answer method, documentation, and analyzed through content analysis. As a result, there are eight Islamic identities from the perspective of the region published in Indonesian, they are: Archipelago Islam, Indonesian Islam, Javanese Islam, Radical Islam, Islamic Sasak, Islamic Sharia, and Islam Indigenous Hatubana, Kumai Bubuhan Islamic, and Coastal Islamic. All Islamic identity is influenced by the culture and the local tradition. Only a handful of variants that the identity is rather keep a distance with the local culture and tradition, five times in Islamic Sasak, Islamic Sharia in Hatubana and Nabu Group in Kumai Bubuhan Islamic. The result describes that Muslim construct their citizenship identity with extending of Islamic teaching categorization and education in both of cultural and national. That is against to Turner’s opinion which said that citizenship will be luck by religious identification. Furthermore, Indonesian Muslim have been met of the citizenship identity as a transformative process from primordial categorization into inclusive categorization

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI) menghadirkan peluang besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di satuan pendidikan, namun pemanfaatannya oleh guru masih terbatas akibat kurangnya pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan praktis. Kondisi ini juga dialami oleh guru-guru SMP dan SMA Muhammadiyah di Kecamatan Sokaraja yang membutuhkan pendampingan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi Gen-AI secara efektif dan etis dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi Gen-AI sebagai sarana pendukung perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengembangan pembelajaran inovatif. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah SMP dan SMA Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Sokaraja. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan berbasis praktik, pendampingan, serta evaluasi, dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan kontekstual sesuai kebutuhan guru. Materi pelatihan meliputi konsep dasar Gen-AI, pemanfaatan aplikasi Gen-AI untuk penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, serta pembuatan konten pembelajaran kreatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman, keterampilan, dan kepercayaan diri guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi Gen-AI dalam pembelajaran. Guru mampu menghasilkan perangkat ajar dan konten pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan inovatif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan Gen-AI berkontribusi signifikan dalam mendukung transformasi pembelajaran digital. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini penting sebagai upaya berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan relevansi pembelajaran di era teknologi digital.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital learning media to improve students' civic literacy at SMA Muhammadiyah Purbalingga. The development of this media is motivated by the growing digitalization in education, which demands innovative learning tools that are adaptable to technological advances while remaining focused on forming intelligent and virtuous citizens (good and thoughtful citizens). This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The focus of this study is on the analysis and development stages to produce a feasible and effective learning media product. The results indicate that integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the learning process has positive impacts, such as increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility in civic education. Moreover, the use of AI encourages students to think critically, creatively, and adaptively in responding to technological advancements within the context of citizenship education. However, potential adverse effects, including overdependence on technology and reduced critical thinking skills, must be anticipated by instilling digital ethics consistent with Islamic values. Therefore, the development of AI-based digital learning media is expected to serve as an innovative solution for effectively and ethically enhancing students’ civic literacy at SMA Muhammadiyah Purbalingga.
