Abstract

The success of region is largely determined by the commitment of the local government in the development of tourism. Good governance will certainly provide prosperity for the community. This first year multi-disciplinary research has a purpose: to design blueprint appreciation program for local governments that are committed in developing regions of Tourism through good governance and delivering award of appreciation to the government. This study examines several aspects of appreciation  through commitment identification and governance survey using analytical methods of AHP. Tourism appreciation blueprint is implemented with program testing. The results achieved is the publication and implementation of the blueprint of appreciation in cooperation with the Eljohn Publishing through Travel Club Tourism Award 2012 from the magazine Travel Club. The results is 40 nominees from the provincial governments, district and city governments. From the nominees, it is determined the winner of the provincial government consisting of 3 province, 9 city and 13 district government. Positive implications occurs after administration of appreciation and local prideness increases when each winner received awars and regional leaders gave speech in front of live audience and broadcasting live all over Indonesia. Besides these, dignity of each government showed in local and national publications in the electronic media and print media. Of these positive implications, it is recommended to conduct a similar program on a regular basis and measured the impact of the annual tribute to the development of tourism in the area so that the program becomes one measure the progress of regional tourismDOI: 10.15408/ess.v4i1.1962

Abstract

Desa Nanggerang adalah salah satu desa di Kecamatan Tajurhalang, Kabupaten Bogor. Salah satu potensi tanaman pangan di desa itu adalah singkong. Sebagian dari penduduk desa telah mengolah singkong menjadi makanan ringan, seperti keripik singkong. Proses pengolahan keripik dilakukan secara sederhana. Desa Naggerang dikenal sebagai desa yang memiliki banyak UMKM keripik singkong dan keripik pisang yang banyak melibatkan ibu-ibu rumah tangga disekitaran usaha mereka. Hal ini tentunya menyebabkan semakin banyaknya minyak jelantah (mijel) seiring semakin banyaknya penggunaan minyak goreng dalam aktivitas UMKM tersebut. Penggunaan minyak goreng yang berkali-kali dapat membahayakan Kesehatan manusia. Disisi lain, membuang sisa minyak goreng ke lingkungan akan menyebabkan kerusakan lingkungan. Permasalahan yang sering muncul adalah minyak jelantah yang dihasilkan pada proses produksi tersebut yang tidak terkelola dengan baik yang bila dibuang sembarangan dapat menyebabkan permasalahan lingkungan Tujuan dan sasaran kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat melalui ibu-ibu PKK, Desa Nangerang, Kabupaten Bogor melalui program pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan minyak jelantah melalui pelatihan dalam pembuatan lilin padat dan cair serta sabun dari minyak jelantah.. Metode kegiatan dilakukan berupa (1) Sosialisasi tentang pemasaran, (2) Pelatihan dan pendampingan pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menjadi produk yang bernilai guna (sabun batangan, lilin cair dan lilin padat). Target luaran yang dicapai pada kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan ketrampilan dan pengetahuan mitra sehingga menjadikan mitra memiliki ketrampilan dalam mengolah minyak jelantah menjadi sesuatu yang bermanfaat dan bernilai ekonomi.

Abstract

One of the important assets owned by the company cannot be separated from the employee’s performance. To obtain a good performance, it is required an employee high motivation. Certainly, a good leader will always motivate the employees with the goal of keeping the spirit of the work and provide maximum performance. Motivation is an important factor to obtain a good performance. This research was conducted in order to determine the relationship work motivation and performance of employees at favehotel Jakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method by using SPSS to help analyze the data obtained from the field. Data in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents as the population, then processed using the correlation formula of Rank Spearman, to determine whether there is a relationship between work motivation and employee performance, continues to find the correlation coefficient (R) to determine the relationship posed motivation work on employee performance. The results showed that the work motivation had a strong relationship with employee performance. It was evident from the results of the calculation of correlation coefficient of 0.623. This suggests a positive relationship between work motivation and employee performance with coefficient of determination obtained further by 38.8% and the remaining 61.2% is influenced by other factors.
