Abstract

Perairan pesisir Desa Kerobokanmemiliki wilayah terumbu karang yang penting karena terdapat spot rekrutmen sebagai wilayah terumbu buatan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai indeks keanekaragaman, keseragamandan dominansi karang pada terumbu buatan alami “Bioreeftek” di salah satu spot perairan pesisir Desa Kerobokan, Kecamatan Sawan, Kabupaten Buleleng, Provinsi Bali.Metode penelitian yang diaplikasikan adalah observasi dengan sensus visual dengan kamera bawah air dan peralatan selam SCUBA pada enam unit terumbu buatan. Pengambilan data observasi dilakukan pada September 2020. Total rekrutmen karang yang ditemukan sebanyaksembilan jenis biota pada terumbu buatan B1-B6 (B=Bioreeftek), yaituPodobacia sp, Sponge, Atriolum robustum, Favites sp, Gorgonia sp, Porites sp, Diploastrea sp, Coralline algae dan Pocillopora damicornis. IndeksKeanekaragaman tertinggi B3 = 3,4; Indeks Keseragaman tertinggi B3 = 2, 48; Indeks Dominansi tertinggi B5 = 0,68. Biota yang paling banyak ditemukan pada terumbu buatan B1-B6 adalahCoralline algae dan karang Scleractinia dari jenisFavites sp. Kondisi kualitas air di perairan Buleleng menunjukan kondisi normaldan masih berada pada standar baku yang ditetapkan oleh Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 51 Tahun 2004, kecuali konsentrasi nutrien.This study aims to determine the diversity index value, uniformity, and dominance of corals on natural artificial reefs "Bioreeftek" in Kerobokan Village coastal waters, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province. Data collection was carried out on September 2020. Observations with visual census using underwater cameras and SCUBA diving equipment was applied to observe coral recruitment insix artificial reef units. The results showed that there werenine types of biota found on artificial reefs B1-B6 (B = bioreeftek), that werePodobacia sp, Sponge, Atriollum robustum, Favites sp, Gorgonia sp, Porites sp, Diploastrea sp, Coralline algae and Pocillopora damicornis. The highest diversity index found in B3 = 3,4; The highest uniformity index found B3 = 2,48; and the highest dominance index was in B5 = 0,68. Coralline algae and Scleractinian corals (Favites sp)were abundantly found in artificial reefs B1-B6.Water quality condition in Buleleng water generally showed a normal condition for supporting marine lifes, with exception of nutrient

Abstract

Dalam pengelolaan sumber daya perairan dibutuhkan informasi dasar terkait status trofik untuk memberikan gambaran terkait pengkayaan nutrien yang menyebabkan peningkatan kesuburan perairan. Penilaian status trofik berguna untuk menggambarkan tingkat kesuburan suatu perairan.  Tingkat kesuburan perairan terukur dari unsur hara dan tingkat kecerahan serta aktivitas biologi lainnya yang terjadi di suatu badan air. Aplikasi indeks TRIX dapat digunakan untuk pemantauan kualitas lingkungan dan telah diaplikasikan untuk penilaian status trofik di lingkungan perairan pesisir. Penilaian status trofik dengan aplikasi indeks TRIX menggunakan kombinasi linear log dari 4 variabel yaitu Klorofil-a, Konsentrasi Oksigen Terlarut (DO), Total Nitrogen (Nitrat, Nitrit dan Amonia) dan Total Fosfat. Hasil penghitungan dengan formula untuk aplikasi indeks TRIX di perairan selat Lembeh diperoleh nilai indeks TRIX keseluruhan stasiun pengamatan adalah 2. Nilai indeks TRIX yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa lokasi studi memiliki kategori status trofik yang rendah atau Low Trophic Level. Low Trophic Level menunjukkan nilai indeks TRIX lebih rendah dari 4 yang umumnya berasosiasi atau mencirikan perairan pesisir.Basic information of tropic status or tropic level is needed in terms of aquatic management resources for giving us the description of water enrichment by nutrients that cause the increasing of water productivity. The assessment of tropic status is used for describing waters eutrophication level. The waters eutrophication level is measured from nutrient and the level of transparency waters includes biological activities in those water columns. TRIX index application used for environmental quality monitoring and it has been applied for assessing tropic status in coastal waters. The assessment of tropic status uses a linear logarithmic combination of 4 variables were Chlorophyll-a, concentration of dissolved oxygen, Total Nitrogen (Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia) and Phosphate. The result of trophic status assessment in marine coastal of Lembeh strait waters was obtained an index TRIX value for all stations respectively is 2. Those TRIX index values showed that the level status trophic index in our study location is in Low Tropic Level. Low Tropic Level indicating values lower than 4 TRIX units are associated with scarcely productive coastal waters

Abstract

The production of the Indonesian Institute for Marine Research and Observation’s mapping of forecast fishing areas (peta prakiraan daerah penangkapan ikan or PPDPI) based on passive satellite imagery is often constrained by high-cloud-cover issues, which lead to sub-optimal results. This study examines the use of the rolling mosaic method for providing geophysical variables, in particular, seasurface temperature (STT) together with minimum cloud cover, to enable clearer identification of oceanographic conditions. The analysis was carried out in contrasting seasons: dry season in July 2018 and rainy season in December 2018. In general, the rolling mosaic method is able to reduce cloud cover for sea-surface temperature (SST) data. A longer time range will increase the coverage percentage (CP) of SST data. In July, the CP of SST data increased significantly, from 15.3 % to 30.29% for the reference 1D mosaic and up to 84.19 % to 89.07% for the 14D mosaic. In contrast, the CP of SST data in December tended to be lower, from 4.93 % to 13.03% in the 1D mosaic to 41.48 % to 51.60% in the14D mosaic. However, the longer time range decreases the relationship between the reference SST data and rolling mosaic method data. A strong relationship lies between the 1D mosaic and 3D mosaics, with correlation coefficients of 0.984 for July and 0.945 for December. Furthermore, a longer time range will decrease root mean square error (RMSE) values. In July, RMSE decreased from 0.288°C (3D mosaic) to 0.471°C (14D mosaic). The RMSE value in December decreased from 0.387°C (3D mosaic) to 0.477°C (14D mosaic). Based on scoring analysis of CP, correlation coefficient and RMSE value, results indicate that the 7D mosaic method is useful for providing low-cloud-coverage SST data for PPDPI production in the dry season, while the 14D mosaic method is suitable for the rainy season.
