Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar harus tetap berjalan di masa pandemi ini, oleh sebab itu pengalihan media pembelajaran untuk melanjutkan proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara tatap muka (offline) telah dialihkan ke media jaringan (online) atau pembelajaran jarak jauh. Sistem pembelajaran di masa pandemi kini beralih ke pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Sistem pembelajaran yang semula tatap muka menjadi tatap maya dengan menggunakan teknologi video conferencing atau web conference. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris selama pandemi di SMAN 3 Palopo dengan menggunakan pendekatan blended learning. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan studi kasus. Instrumen penelitiannya adalah siswa dan guru Bahasa Inggris kelas X di SMAN 3 Palopo yang melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh menggunakan blended learning. Teknik analisis data mengacu pada konsep Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerjasama yang baik antara guru, siswa dan orang tua dapat mengatasi masalah dalam mengadaptasi metode pembelajaran blended learning selama pandemi. Penerapan metode blended learning dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris berupa link Youtube, video atau PowerPoint. Aktivitas siswa di Google Meet dan orang tua yang mendampingi siswa selama pembelajaran online sangat membantu dalam kemajuan pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) selama pandemi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to learn about the psychological aspects of the main characters in the film "Forrest Gump" by Robert Zemeckis. The descriptive method was used in this study. The main data came from the movie "Forrest Gump," and the secondary data came from some literature related to the subject of the research. The data were analyzed using by descriptive method.The result of the study showed the psychological aspects of the main characters that had been analyzed. Forrest Gump was stupid, foolish, limited in terms of intellectual development. He was sad, anxious, friendly, and happy in terms of emotional development. He was patient and generous in terms of personality development. He was good in terms of morality development. Jenny was clever and connect in terms of emotional development. She was annoyed, happy, regret, and friendly in terms of emotional development. She was good in term morality development. She was covert in term of personality. Mrs. Gump was clever and connect in terms of intellectual development. She was happy and sad in terms of emotional development. She was generous and strong in terms of personality development. She was approximately in term morality.

Abstract

Education is a systematic and structured process aimed at acquiring knowledge and developing abilities. The acquisition of English language proficiency necessitates the utilization of various methodologies and strategies, as it is a skill-oriented form of education. Technological advancements have significantly impacted contemporary education. The utilization of technology is a contemporary approach in addressing the obstacles encountered in the process of acquiring proficiency in the English language. In the realm of English language acquisition, Duolingo continually strives to reinvent language learning methods through its mobile phone platform. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify of Student’s perception in learning vocabulary through Duolingo Apps to the 1st semester of management class at STIE WIRA BHAKTI MAKASSAR University batch 2023 who were currently or had previously used Duolingo. Using questionnaires to collect data in a qualitative descriptive, the findings showed that students' perceptions of learning vocabulary through Duolingo are overwhelmingly favorable, with an average score of 92,37%. To sum up, the use Duolingo was very effective in learning vocabulary because the application is simple to use, entertaining, fun, and free of advertisements.
