Abstract

This study aims to develop the Integrative Qur'anic Islamic Education Management Model (MPMQI) as a strategy for strengthening students’ character amid the global moral crisis. The moral crisis, characterized by increasing individualism, ethical degradation, misuse of digital technology, and the weakening of spiritual values, indicates that education has not fully succeeded in shaping students’ character holistically. This research employed a qualitative approach using the library research method by analyzing various relevant literature on Qur’anic values, Islamic educational management, and character education. The findings reveal that Qur’anic values such as tawhid (monotheism), trustworthiness (amanah), honesty, justice, responsibility, and ihsan (excellence) can be integrated into all functions of Islamic educational management, including planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. This integration results in the development of the Integrative Qur'anic Islamic Education Management Model (MPMQI), which focuses on character formation through value internalization, the establishment of an Islamic organizational culture, educators’ role modeling, positive behavioral habituation, and the wise utilization of technology. The model positions Qur’anic values as the primary foundation of educational management, thereby creating a conducive learning environment for character development. Furthermore, MPMQI contributes not only to improving the quality of Islamic educational management but also serves as a strategic solution for developing a generation that possesses noble character, integrity, and the ability to respond to global challenges while maintaining its Islamic identity. Therefore, the implementation of MPMQI is expected to strengthen the role of Islamic education in addressing contemporary moral challenges and fostering sustainable character developmen.

Abstract

Strategic management is an organizational management approach oriented toward achieving long-term goals through systematic processes of planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the context of Islamic education, strategic management plays a crucial role in improving educational quality, strengthening institutional competitiveness, and ensuring that all management processes remain aligned with Islamic values. This paper aims to examine the concept of strategic management in the development of Islamic education, explain its implementation stages, and identify the challenges encountered in its application. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing various theories and relevant references related to strategic management and Islamic education. The findings indicate that the implementation of strategic management in Islamic educational institutions involves three main stages: strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation and control. Effective implementation helps educational institutions determine a clear direction for development, optimize resource utilization, enhance educational service quality, and strengthen organizational accountability. However, its application continues to face various internal and external challenges, including limited human resources, financial constraints, inadequate use of technology, increasing competition among educational institutions, and the impacts of globalization and digital transformation. Therefore, strengthening human resource competencies, maximizing the use of information technology, and fostering an organizational culture based on Islamic values are essential to ensure the effective implementation of strategic management in supporting the sustainable development of Islamic education.

Abstract

The transformation of national education policy has become a strategic issue in responding to social, technological, economic, and cultural changes in contemporary society. However, policy transformation is often analyzed separately from its philosophical foundations, formulation processes, and implementation dynamics. This study aims to analyze national education policy transformation from the perspective of Islamic Educational Management by examining philosophical foundations, policy formulation processes, implementation practices, and their implications for strengthening Islamic educational institutions. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research methods. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, government regulations, and relevant policy documents and analyzed through descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings indicate that national education policies in Indonesia are philosophically grounded in Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and Islamic educational values emphasizing intellectual, moral, and spiritual development. However, policy formulation remains predominantly top-down and has not fully incorporated evidence-based and participatory approaches. Furthermore, policy implementation is influenced by communication, resources, leadership, bureaucratic structures, and organizational culture. The transformation of education policy has encouraged modernization, accountability, and quality improvement in Islamic educational institutions, although challenges related to institutional readiness, resource disparities, and digital divides remain significant. Therefore, a more adaptive, participatory, equitable, and sustainable policy framework is required to strengthen Islamic educational management in Indonesia.
