Abstract

Stress is the condition of an individual who experiences excessive emotional demands, a time problem that makes it difficult to manage efficiently all aspects of life (Richard, 2010). In someone with mild and moderate levels of stress will experience changes in blood sugar levels. This study examines stress levels and random blood sugar levels in nursing students. The purpose of this study was to identify respondent characteristics, stress levels, random blood sugar levels and the relationship between stress levels and random blood sugar levels at the health Polytechnic of Palangka Raya. The research method respondents (f = 39) was assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale -10 questionnaire to measure stress level. Glucometer was used for checking the random blood sugar levels. Chi-Square test was used to determine the relationship between the two variables, results from 39 respondents who had moderate stress levels, 27 respondents had high blood sugar levels of 23 (85.2%) and mild stress levels as many as 12 respondents with normal blood sugar levels 7 (58.3); There is a correlation between stress and random blood sugar levels in Secondary Learning Recognition (RPL) students of the Nursing Department Class II at Health Polytechnic of Palangka Raya with ρ value <0.005.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a contagious disease and is a major public health problem in Indonesia. Palangkaraya City's DBD IR for three years has continued to increase and become 68% and CFR 2% in 2018, this is due to the community's participation in PSN activities that have not been carried out optimally. One of the strategies to optimize community participation in the prevention and control of Dengue Fever is the empowerment of students with video media and booklets in improving the behavior of Jumantik-PSN school children. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the use of the WonderShare video media with booklets in increasing the behavior of jumantik-PSN school children and larva free rates in SMP Negeri 9 and 16 in the area of Kayon Puskesmas, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City. This study used an experimental design. Two groups of pre and posttest designs. Samples were 50 students in grade 7 & 8, each of 25 groups of video media and booklets, instruments used were WonderShare videos, booklets, questionnaires, checklist sheets. The results showed that the independent t-test - there was a difference in the increase in mean scores, Knowledge between the video group and the booklet: P = 0.041 (P <0.5)Conclusion: Video media is effective in increasing Jumantik-PSN knowledge of school children and reducing larva free rates. Suggestion: to schools and Puskesmas to innovate counseling media with WonderShare video (video via WhatsApp) in increasing Jumantik-PSN's knowledge about the prevention and prevention of DHF so as to reduce larva free rates and cases.

Abstract

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates the number of DM increases in Indonesia from 9.1 million in 2014 to 14.1 million in 2035. Type 2 diabetes is the most common type. Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia due to defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or a combination. Diabetes mellitus can cause clinical changes in diabetics. The purpose of this study was to study the relationship of stress levels with self-care on type 2 DM clients in BLUD Internal Medicine dr. Doris Sylvanus. This research method uses a cross-sectional study design, with a purposive sampling technique, the number of samples in this study were 35 respondents, collecting data using a Diabetes Self-Care Activity Summary questionnaire (SDSCA and Diabetes Disorders Scale (DSS) and analyzed using the chi-square test The results of this study indicate that of the 20 respondents who were severely stressed 18 respondents were not good in self-care and of the 15 respondents who increased mild stress 10 respondents were able to perform self-care well. = 0.001, where the p-value <α (α = 0 05) It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between stress levels and self-care where the higher the stress level, the lower the self-care treatment.

Abstract

Microvascular complications including damage to the eye (retinopathy) causing blindness, for the kidneys (nephropathy) causing kidney and nerve failure (neuropathy) which causes impotence and diabetic foot disorders (including severe infections leading to amputations). Family support is needed to provide comfort physical and psychological state when experiencing pain. Family support is very important for the survival of people with DM, so with good family support, the level of anxiety felt by the client will be reduced. The method in this study is a quantitative method with a cross sectional design approach using a simple Multinomial Regression Test. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample used as many as 40 respondents who are clients with DM complications. The results of this study were most age variables were in the range of age 46-65 years as much as 57.5%, sex variables were mostly female sex as much as 52.5%, the highest education level variables were Higher Education (SMA-PT) as many as 55%, the highest occupational status variable is 57.5% of respondents who do not work, the highest economic status variable is the respondent earning <Rp. 1,000,000 as much as 40%, the old variable suffering from DM is 1-5 years as much as 62.5% and the family variable is the most caring treated by his wife and children 32.5%. Family support in Dr..Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya Hospital good category as much as 47.5% and mild anxiety level as much as 15 37.5%. There is a relationship between family support and client anxiety level with microvascular complications (p = 0,000).

Abstract

DBD merupakan salah satu penyakit menular merupakan masalah kesehatan utama  Indonesia, termasuk di . Kota Palangka Raya, dimana angkanya semakin meningkat.  Salah satu  strategi mengoptimalkan peran serta masyarakat dalam pengendalian DBD adalah  pemberdayaan peserta didik   dengan    media  wondershare video untuk Jumantik-PSN anak sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalahm untuk mengetahui perbedaan  penggunaan  media  wondershare video dengan booklet dalam meningkatkan perilaku jumantik-PSN anak sekolah dan keberadaan jentik di SMP Negeri  3 dan 14 Kelurahan Bukit Tunggal Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental  dengan two group pre and posttest design.  Jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 siswa SMPN kelas VIII, masing-masing 20 kelompok eksperimen dan control. Data sikap dan perilaku dikumpulkan pada dua kelompok penelitian. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan rata-rata skor, sikap (p=0,038) dan perilaku (p=0,001) antara kelompok kontrol dengan  kelompok intervensi. Dengan demikian disempulkanmedia Wondershare video  efektif dalam  meningkatkan  pengetahuan, sikap, perilaku   oleh Jumantik-PSN  Anak Sekolah, oleh karena itu disaran  pada pihak sekolah  dan Puskesmas agar menggunakan media ini dalam  meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, perilaku dan angka bebas jentik (ABJ)  terhadap pencegahan dan penanggulangan DBD
