Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of Character Education Through Local Wisdom Values in SD Taman Siswa Jetis Yogyakarta. Research Grants Kopertis Region V. Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. This study aims to: ( 1) Determine the implementation of character education through the values of local wisdom in SD Taman Siswa Jetis Yogyakarta, ( 2 ) determine the obstacles in the implementation of character education through the values of local wisdom in SD Taman Siswa Jetis Yogyakarta, and ( 3) to identify a solution to solve bottlenecks in the implementation of character education through the values of local wisdom in SD Taman Siswa Jetis Yogyakarta. This study used qualitative methods. To collect the data the researchers used a technique -depth interviews and direct observation techniques . Step-by- step analysis of the data using the model of Miles and Huberman , namely the presentation of data , data reduction , and confirmation, while the data validity tests include tests of internal validity , external validity , reliability, and objectivity. The results showed that the implementation of character education through the values of local wisdom in SD Taman Siswa Jetis realized in the form of learning related to local cultures, such as dance, musical, artistic painting or drawing, and learning the Java language. Besides, in the form of classroom learning, the implementation of the values of local wisdom was also done in the form of habits in school, such as 5S (smiles, greetings, greetings, manners). Barriers in implementing character education through the values of local wisdom is in addition to the factors advances in information technology that is misused by learners, family factors that less supervise the behavior of learners and communities that do not support the achievement of the goal of character education also influences, while a factor of teacher is teacher competence is lacking, especially new teachers in implementing the values of local wisdom. The solution to solve bottlenecks in the implementation of character education through the values of local wisdom is that by establishing a qualified teacher and professional manner to include teachers in professional training at local and national levels and to improve synergy between schools, families, and communities.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) examine the effectiveness of the story to name character education which is focused on the value of devotion of worship, honesty, responsibility, and caring (2) to test the effectiveness of the story to improve cognitive learning outcomes in social studies. This research is a quasi experimental research with pre-test and post-test control group design. The independent variable in this research is the social studies learning method by reading the story. The dependent variable is the result of social studies learning and character values. The moderator variable is the personality type (introvert and extrovert). This research was conducted in class V SDN Nanggulan I Kulonprogo as experimental group and class V SDN Jatisarono Kulonprogo as control group. The subjects of this study were all students obtained by test and non-test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) at 95% significance level (p = 0,05). The results showed that  there were significant differences in social studies learning outcomes and student character values between the experimental class and control class. In the experimental class, social studies score increased by 2.94 (11.53%), 1.88 (5.66%), honesty 1.19 (5.66%), responsibility 3,57 (9.83%), concern for 1.58 (9.55%). In the control class, the score of social studies learning achievement was 0.95 (3.75%), 0.09 (0.34%) observance, honesty 2.39 (12.38%), responsibility 0.09 (0, 25%), concern 0.09 (0.55%). From the comparison, it can be concluded that the increase of IPS learning result score and student character values in the experimental class is higher than the control class. In other words, the use of effective stories to improve social studies learning outcomes and character values.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari masa kanak-kanak menuju ke masa dewasa. Masa remaja disebut juga sebagai masa pancaroba yang penuh gejolak dan keadaan yang tak menentu.Keadaan ini terjadi karena di satu pihak remaja ingin dianggap sudah bukan anak-anak lagi, tetapi di lain pihak remaja masih bergantung pada orangtua. Hal inilah yang menyebabkan remaja mengalamikrisisidentitas diri.Merokokmerupakan kebiasaan remaja yang sulitdihindari.Kondisi ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor,di antaranya masa perkembangan remaja yang sedang mencari identitas diri dan selalu ingin mencoba hal baru Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh faktor personal (sikap, norma subyektif, persepsi pengendalian perilaku) dan sosial(tekanan kelompok sebaya) terhadap perilaku merokok berdasarkan theory of planned Behavior pada siswa MTsN Banjar Selatan 2 Pekauman Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian siswa MTsN Banjar Selatan 2 Pekauman Banjarmasin.Sampel sebanyak 40 orang siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara Purposive Sampling.Teknik analisa data dengan data kuantitatif, adalah univariat, bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian siswa, yaitu sebanyak 15 orang siswa(37,5%) menyatakan kadang-kadang merokok, ada hubungan sikap dengan perilaku merokok, ada hubungan norma subyektif dengan perilaku merokok, ada hubungan persepsi pengendalian perilaku dengan perilaku merokok dan ada hubungan tekanan kelompk sebaya dengan perilaku merokok. Pada uji regresi linier berganda didapatkan persamaan regresi yang memperlihatkan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap perilaku merokok. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ada pengaruh faktor personal (sikap, norma subyektif, persepsi pengendalian perilaku) dan sosial (tekanan kelompok sebaya) terhadap perilaku merokok berdasarkan theory of planned Behavior
