Abstract

Article clarifies information literacy (IL) implementation that is recognizing information needs, finding information, valuing, selecting information, creating new information and presenting it to get some inputs, applied in Cornel University, Dayton University, North Sumatera University, Duta Wacana University, and Bina Nusantara University. Data were collected by library research. It can be concluded that IL implementation in some mentioned universities have met the IL standards, IL is needed to develop students? knowledge, skills, and performance, some IL have applied in the formal teaching activity, so that it needs to be researched so that all parties are satisfied and the goal of study can be achieved.

Abstract

The goals of the research were to compile a reading material that was able to measure the fifth year primary students? comprehension to the Betawi folklore which represented Indonesian culture; the value found in the Betawi folklore, and to increase their writing skills based on the vocabulary in context assessment. A library research was applied by selecting the story suitable for primary school students, translating materials, simplifying the reading, and making reading exercise to develop student?s reading comprehension skills. Reading materials and exercises were focused to the fifth year primary students who have been learning English for more than three years. It can be concluded that the interesting reading materials can be compiled from the original Indonesian folklore entitled ?The Old Sly Stork? to support students? achievement in finding the story?s values, and students? skills in writing based on the reading materials, value, and their daily life experiences.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi di dunia sangat begitu pesat termasuk di Indonesia, dengan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat maka  berkembang juga permasalahan remaja di Indonesia. Ada yang menjurus ke hal positif dan juga ke hal yang negatif di berbagai kota besar di Indonesia, sekitar 20 hingga 30 persen remaja mengaku pernah melakukan hubungan seks. Tujuan Kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan peran remaja dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi posyandu remaja, serta menciptakan wadah pembinaan dan memahami pentingnya gaya hidup sehat. Pada masa ini remaja mengalami banyak tantangan baik dari diri sendiri maupun dari lingkungan, apabila pada masa ini remaja tidak mampu menghadapinya maka akan menyebabkan remaja mengalami masalah kesehatan yang kompleks. Metode yang dipakai meliputi survey, musyawarah Masyarakat Desa, pelatihan kader posyandu, pemeriksaan remaja dan pembentukan posyandu remaja. Kegiatan dilaksanakan tanggal 1-20 Juni 2019. Hasilnya didapatkan jumlah remaja di Desa Krecek  ada 852 remaja dengan sampel yang diambil 92 remaja yang aktif di kegiatan karang taruna. Dari tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi  63 remaja pengetahuannya baik dan 28 remaja pengetahuannya kurang. Terdapat 74 remaja yang melakukan kenakalan dan yang hamil diluar nikah ada 3 remaja. Pembetukan posyandu remaja yang dapat digunakan sebagai wadah para remaja untuk menciptakan wadah pembinaan dan memahami pentingnya gaya hidup sehat, meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi, gizi, mengurangi kejadian kenakalan pada remaja.

Abstract

Purpose: Decisions related to the capital structure are crucial for companies because the proportion of funding from debt and equity determines the company's value and is directly related to shareholders' welfare. This study aims to examine how corporate governance affects the capital structure. Method: Board size, board independence, ownership concentration, audit reputation, management ownership, and institutional ownership are the independent variables considered in this study. In contrast, control variables were defined as firm size, liquidity, profitability, and growth. In order to determine how corporate governance affects capital structure in a sample of 395 non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, this study employs multiple linear regression analysis. Result: The capital structure is significantly impacted negatively by board size, ownership concentration, firm size, profitability, and growth while positively impacted by independent commissioners, auditor reputation, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership. Liquidity has no impact on the capital structure.

Abstract

Since 1988, Indonesian capital market, especially Jakarta Stock Exchange has been grown fast. Then, come up questions about capital market efficiency. The capital market is efficient if the securities prices reflecting all available informations and the prices are fair. Thus, investor could not achieve abnormal return. So, with this reasons and facts, the research analyze weak form Indonesia capital market efficiency at Jakarta Stock Exchange in periode January-July 2001. This research used samples 25 emitent. Autocorrelation test, run test, and variance ratio test were used to test the capital market efficiency. The result is that Indonesian capital market is efficient in weak form with 1% significance level. It means that securities movement have random walk pattern. Thus, investors could not achieve abnormal return if just used technical analysis with past securities prices data to predict prices in the future.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of factors related to the stock return, such as liquidity, company size, risk, and beta of companies listed on ASEAN Exchanges for 2011-2019. This study uses a quantitative approach by using multiple linear regression method. The dependent variable is stock return, while the independent variables used are liquidity, company size, risk, and beta. This research uses 14,580 observations of 1,620 wide-spread companies across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Philippine in nine years. The study finds that illiquidity, risk, and size positively influence stock return significantly, while beta has an insignificant positive effect on stock return. This study also finds that there are country-effect towards stock return in each country.
