Abstract

Assesment on Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) Cultivation using Side Grafting Technologyin South Lampung. The study of cassava oculation technique were conducted on Tegineneng experimentalgarden, South Lampung of June 2007 until Maret 2008. The purpose of this study was to find out thetreatment of cassava occulation technique with plant method (to dam up and maked hole of plant) anddosages fertilizer applied (mixed of Urea,SP36,KCl/2:1:1) i.e. 40, 80, 120, 160 g per plant on growth, yieldsand financial analysis of cassava occulation. Treatments were arranged in Randomized Block Design,three replication.. The result showed that culture technique had no optimum effect on yield tuber of cassavaocculation. Different treatmethode dosages fertilizer applied the same response on percentage of growth,diameter and length of tuber, and tuber yield per plant. But to dam up treatment gave highest tuber yield (5.75kg/plant) than that maked hole of plant (5.12 kg/plant) method. The financial analysis of cassava occulationcultural technique to dam up was more desent (R/C 1.63) than maked hole of plant (R/C 0.71) method.Key words: Assessment, culture technique, cassava, occulation Kajian budidaya ubikayu sambung telah dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Tegineneng, Lampung Selatanmulai Juni 2007 hingga Maret 2008. Tujuan pengkajian untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan teknik budidayaubikayu sambung dengan cara tanam (menggunakan guludan dan lubang tanam 80 x 80 x 50 cm.), dan dosispemupukan NPK dalam bentuk campuran Urea:SP36:KCl (2:1:1) dengan dosis 40, 80, 120, dan 160 g/tanaman.Parameter yang diamati meliputi komponen pertumbuhan tanaman (presentase tumbuh dan tinggi tanaman),danproduksi umbi (ukuran umbi dan produksi per pohon) pada akhir percobaan (tanaman berumur 9 bulan) sertaanalisis usahataninya. Perlakuan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok, tiga ulangan. Setiap perlakuanterdiri atas 20 tanaman dengan jarak tanam 2 x 2 m. Masing-masing tanaman diberi pupuk kandang 3kg/tanaman.Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa budidaya ubikayu sambung belum menghasilkan umbi yang memuaskan.Perbedaan perlakuan dosis pupuk yang diuji memberikan respon yang sama terhadap presentase tumbuh,ukuran umbi (diameter umbi dan panjang umbi), juga produksi per pohon. Namun rata-rata perlakuan guludanmenghasilkan produksi umbi 5,75 kg/pohon, ini lebih tinggi dibanding dengan perlakuan lubang tanam yanghanya 5,12 kg/pohon. Sebaliknya terhadap tinggi tanaman perlakuan lubang tanam memberikan pertumbuhantanaman lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan guludan. Hasil analisis usahatani budidaya ubikayu sambung yangdigulud (R/C 1,63) lebih layak dibanding dengan perlakuan lubang tanam ( R/C 0,71). Hasil ini lebih rendahdibandingkan dengan usahatani ubikayu biasa (tanpa sambung), untuk itu masih perlu dikaji lebih lanjut.Kata kunci: Kajian, budidaya, ubikayu, sambung

Abstract

ABSTRAKProduktivitas kelapa sawit rakyat di Provinsi Lampung masih relatifrendah dibanding potensi produktivitas optimal. Berkenaan dengan hal itu,dari bulan Februari sampai dengan September 2012 dilakukan kajiandengan tujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik agroekologi dan teknispengelolaan kebun kelapa sawit rakyat yang berpeluang diperbaiki agarproduktivitas kebun kelapa sawit rakyat meningkat. Kebun kelapa sawitrakyat yang diidentifikasi dipilih secara acak di tujuh kabupaten diProvinsi Lampung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei danwawancara petani. Rata-rata produksi tandan buah segar (TBS) kebunkelapa sawit rakyat di Lampung masih rendah (15 ton/hektar/tahun).Produksi ini berpeluang ditingkatkan melalui penerapan teknologi yangdapat mengatasi sifat-sifat agroekologi sebagai faktor pembataspertumbuhan dan produksi kelapa sawit, seperti ketersediaan air, retensihara, dan bahaya erosi. Teknologi yang dibutuhkan untuk mengatasikendala tersebut antara lain membangun irigasi suplemen, meningkatkankemampuan tanah dalam menyimpan air, memperbanyak penggunaanbahan organik dan kapur, serta mengaplikasikan teknologi konservasitanah dan air. Produktivitas kebun kelapa sawit rakyat akan berpeluangmeningkat  seiring  dengan  bertambahnya  umur  tanaman,  sertameningkatnya penggunaan pupuk organik untuk tanaman yang telahmenghasilkan (TM) dan pupuk NPK untuk tanaman belum menghasilkan(TBM). Pembinaan petani perlu diintensifkan untuk meningkatkankesadaran petani akan pentingnya memupuk TBM. Hasil analisismengindikasikan bahwa pemupukan NPK untuk TBM berkorelasi positifdengan produktivitas kelapa sawit.Kata kunci: Elaeis guineensis Jacq., agroekologi, pengelolaan kebunkelapa sawit rakyat, produktivitasABSTRACTProductivity of smallholder oil palm in Lampung province is stillrelatively low compared to the potential for optimal productivity. A studywas conducted with regard to that, from February to September 2012 toidentify the agroecological characteristics and technical management ofsmallholder oil palm plantations that likely to be improved in order toincrease the productivity of oil palm of smallholder. Smallholderplantations studied were randomly selected, each 1 sites in seven districtsin Lampung Province and data collection was conducted through surveysand interviews of farmers. Average production of fresh fruit bunches(FFB) of smallholder oil palm plantations in Lampung are still low (15tons/hectare/year). The production is likely to be enhanced through theapplication of technology that is able to cope with the nature ofagroecology as the constraints of growth and production of oil palm,namely the availability of water, nutrient retention, and erosion hazard.The technology needed to overcome the obstacles include supplementingirrigation, increasing the soils ability to store water, multiplying the useof organic materials and lime, and applying soil and water conservationtechnologies. Besides that, oil palm productivity of smallholder likelyincrease, along with the increasing age of the plant, the growing use oforganic fertilizer for plants that have produced (TM) and NPK fertilizerfor immature plants (TBM). Development of farmers needs to beintensified to increase farmers awareness of the importance of fertilizingthe TBM. The results of the analysis indicated that NPK fertilization forTBM positively correlated with the productivity of oil palm.Keywords: Elaeis guineens

Abstract

The study analysis income nursery pepper Natar 1 hase been done in Prima Tani North Lampung. The studied hope to know farmer income were inproved nursery pepper cutting and successfully pepper seedling. The studied used 14.000 pepper cutting one leaf, every pepper cutting planted on soil and dung cow mixture (1:1) in polibag volume 1,0 kg and than pepper cutting were planted in polibag to covered by tranparan plastic as long as 35 days. After 35 days plastic covered to open, and the pepper seedling to manage up to 5-6 month. The result studied shown that nursery pepper cutting died about 21%, pepper seedling to be able to planted in 6 month age about 69% and not yet to be able to planted about 10%. Nursery pepper management have income 52,85% about Rp 1.585,50 per seedling when price pepper seedling Rp 3.000,- per plant. On nursery pepper production, farmer must be have pepper garden or mini pepper garden were intensive cared as soure of better pepper cutting, decided variety and no pest and desease. Nursery pepper management 14.000 pepper cutting have total cost Rp 19.803.000, farmer to be able to producing 9.660 pepper seedling and the price about Rp 28.980.000 and farmer income about Rp 9.177.000,- with B/C ratio 1,46 as long as 6 month and 1400 leafover pepper seedling already planting after 6 month.
