Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine nutritional status according to IMT/U and TB/U index on elementary school children in urban and rural areas. This study used cross sectional design study, April to May 2014. The population is all elementary school students in Santo Joseph as urban and Larangan Elementary Schools as rural areas. Samples were taken by purposive sampling been 82 first-grade students at both the elementary school. Data analysis included univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis by T-test to determine differences in the nutritional status of children in urban and rural areas. The results show a higher wasted in rural areas (13.1%) than urban areas (2.3%), while the overweight higher in urban areas (27.3%) than rural (2.5%), there is a difference nutritional status according to IMT/U index in urban and rural elementary school students (p = 0.00 <0.05). Stunted in urban areas (4.5%) is not much different than children in rural areas (7.9%), bivariate analysis showed no differences nutritional status according to TB/U index in urban and rural (p = 0.355> 0.05). Suggested to carry out routine monitoring of nutritional status, especially in the new elementary school students as improve nutrition status of children.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThalassemia is a public health problem and is a hereditary blood disease that frequently occurs , it is due to the accumulation of iron due to transfusion , appetite and low socioeconomic status. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of nutritional consumption thalassemia patients . This study used a qualitative descriptive design. A total of 30 respondents participated in this study were taken by simple random sampling technique . Results of the study were mostly (83,3%) patients with thalassemia aged 6-16 years, the majority (73,3%) good nutritional status. Levels of nutrient intake compared with the results obtained in 2013 AKG energy (60,0%) , protein (53,3%), calcium (100 %), iron (60,0%), phosphorus (73,3%), vitamin C (80%), Vitamin B (100%) deficit category < 70 % of the RDA of 2013, only vitamin A which are all included both categories. The increasing age will have a tendency to decline in nutritional status . Abstract

ABSTRACTNutritional problems in school children need to be given serious attention. Impact of nutritional problems in school children can affect motor skills and academic achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine The Correlation of family members, maternal nutrition knowledge and level of energy consumption with nutritional status of elementary school children. Cross sectional study was conducted, the sample totaled 84 students. A total of 51.2% of families have a large number of members, as many as 65.5% of mothers have sufficient knowledge of nutrition, as many as 85.7% had levels less energy consumption and as much as 65.5% had normal nutritional status. The analysis was performed with Spearman Range test. There is a correlation between level of energy consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.001), there was no association of family members (p = 0.244), maternal nutrition knowledge (p = 0.115) with the nutritional status of school children. Abstract

KADARZI program had goal to improve family wmpowerment by approach and change its nutrition practice to solve nutrition problems. South purwokerto subdistrict has 50,15% family that has been not kadarzi and has unsatisfied nutritional status. This research has objective to analisis the level KADARZI to nutritional status in infants (0-11 mounth) at south purwokerto subdistrict. This reasech was a survey study by using crossetional study the variables where practice of KADARZI : growth monitoring infants, breastfeeding comsumption of salt iodine, food combination, comsumption of supplement (indefendent variables) and nutrition status in infant (dependent variable). The population were 777 family and 86 family of sampling. Research resuld showed that ther was significant influence between exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional status (p velue: 0,007), variables that no significant influence were growth monitoring (p value: 0,184), food combination (p value: 0,342), comsumption salt iodine (p value: 0,609) and comsumption of nutrition supplement (p value: 0,307). Suggestion to get promotion and motivation to mother for exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

TB of children in community show of TB case's proportion which will occur in the future.Besides, TB of children 's distribution could be the indicator of the ongoing transmission of TB in the community. This study conducted to explore the prediction factor of positive tuberculin tedt which were children's characteristic (age, gender), parent's characteristic (parent's education ,parent's occupation) and household size. A case control study held in primary school children attending class I-IV (8-13 years age) in Kabupaten Cilacap from September - Desember 2008. Sample divided in two group, there are 109 case 109 control. School children two had result of tuberculin test ≥ 10 mm, respectively, were considered as a case. Control were school children who have result of tuberculin test 0-9 mm, selected by proportional random sampling. Informations about children's results of tuberculin test were obtained from secondary data of tuberculin data survey which held on center Java. Primary data obtained by interviewing of school children. Logistic regression demonsrtated prediction factors of positive tuberculin test were BCG scar (p value = 0,049, OR= 0,432, 95% CI = 0,250-0,753) and age (p value= 0,003, OR= 0,434, 95% CI= 0,187 - 0,996).

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study analyze the relationship between the iodine content of salt consumption and the level of consumption of iodine levels in women of childbearing age UIE. The study was observational with cross sectional design. The research location in the village of Kebumen, Baturraden subdistrict, Banyumas. Subjects were 38 selected by simple random sampling technique. The consumption level of iodine was measured by the method of Food Recall 2x24 hours. Salt iodine content was measured by iodometric titration method and UIE levels measured by acid digestion method in the laboratory BP2GAKI Magelang. Data analysis using spearman correlation. A total of 71.1% women of childbearing age using the iodine content of salt consumption of <30 ppm. The consumption level of iodine less subject category (86.8%). UIE levels by an average of 156.50 μg/L category of normal iodine intake. There was no relationship with the iodine content of salt UIE levels (p=0.671). No correlation with levels of iodine consumption levels UIE (p=0.586). Levels of UIE women of childbearing age are not affected by the iodine content of salt and iodine consumption levels. Penelitian ini bersifat observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian di desa Kebumen, Kecamatan Baturraden, Banyumas. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Tingkat konsumsi yodium diukur dengan metode Food Recall 2x24 jam. Kandungan garam yodium diukur dengan metode titrasi iodometrik dan tingkat UIE yang diukur dengan metode pencernaan asam di laboratorium BP2GAKI Magelang. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi spearman. Sebanyak 71,1% wanita usia subur menggunakan kandungan yodium konsumsi garam <30 ppm. Tingkat konsumsi kategori subjek kurang yodium (86,8%). Tingkat UIE rata-rata 156,50 μg / L kategori asupan yodium normal. Tidak ada hubungan dengan kadar yodium kadar garam UIE (p = 0,671). Tidak ada korelasi dengan tingkat kadar konsumsi yodium UIE (p = 0,586). Tingkat wanita UIE pada usia subur tidak terpengaruh oleh kadar yodium tingkat konsumsi garam dan yodium. Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine factors associated with diminished appetite in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy. This study is an observational analytic research with cross sectional design. Population of this study was CKD outpatients undergoing hemodialysis therapy in July- August 2016 in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospitals. Amount of 58 subjects taken by consecutive sampling. Appetite, sex, age, length of hemodialysis, frequency of nausea/vomiting, and depression were measured using questionnaire. Subjects who diminished appetite were 58,6%. More than half subjects were male (56,9%). Amount of 84,5% subjects were adults (19-59 years), 63,8% undergoing hemodialysis >1year, 39,7% experienced nausea/ vomiting and 53,4% were depression. Based on Chi-Square Test/ Fisher Exact Test, diminished appetite significantly associated with length of hemodialysis (p=0,041), frequency of nausea/vomiting (p=0,014), and depression (p=0,002). Dominant factors affected diminished appetite were depression and length of hemodialysis. Diminished appetite in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy associated with length of hemodialysis, frequency of nausea/vomit, and depression. Keyword : appetite, chronic kidney disease, hemodialysi Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang berhubungan dengan penurunan nafsu makan pada pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pasien GGK rawat jalan yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis pada bulan Juli- Agustus 2016 di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Sebanyak 58 subjek diambil dengan cara consecutive sampling. Nafsu makan, jenis kelamin, usia, lama hemodialisis, frekuensi mual/muntah, dan depresi diukur menggunakan kuesioner. Responden yang mengalami penurunan nafsu makan sebanyak 58,6%. Lebih dari separuh responden (56,9%) berjenis kelamin laki- laki dan 84,5% responden berusia dewasa (19-59 tahun). Sebanyak 63,8% responden menjalani hemodialisis >1tahun. Responden yang mengalami mual/muntah berat sebanyak 39,7% dan 53,4% mengalami depresi. Berdasarkan analisis bivariat menggunakan Uji Chi- Square/ Fisher Exact diperoleh hasil bahwa nafsu makan berhubungan secara signifikan dengan lama hemodialisis (p=0,041), frekuensi mual/ muntah (p=0,014), dan depresi (p=0,002). Faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi penurunan nafsu makan adalah depresi dan lama hemodialisis. Penurunan nafsu makan pada pasien GGK yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis berhubungan dengan lama hemodialisis, frekuensi mual/muntah, dan depresi. Kata kunci : gagal ginjal, hemodialisa, nafsu makan

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to access an understanding about Gluten-Free Casein-free Diet (GFCF) and its application in autism children in special need school C Yakut Purwokerto. This study uses qualitative research methods, descriptive depth interviews with 6 key informants and 11 informants support. The results showed that the mother initially did not understand and know about the GFCF diet. After got information from therapy, physician, psychologist and school teacher, they understanding of GFCF diet with is proved by mothers already know what foods must be limited. But the mother has not been able to implement a GFCF diet in everyday life as evidenced by the child is still often eat foods made from flour and milk. This is also evidenced in the form Food Frequency Quetionnaire Qulitative. Mother's level of understanding about the GFCF diet has been good, but from the 6 main informant could not do GFCF diet properly and strictly. Keywords: Autism, Diet Gluten Free Casein Free, Flour and milk ABSTRAK Sekitar 60% penyandang autis mempunyai gangguan sistem pencernaan akibat alergi makanan. Gangguan sistem pencernaan ini mengakibatkan terjadinya kebocoran usus (Leaky Gut). Dampak leaky gut pada autis menyebabkan produksi hormon sekretin terhambat. Sebagai akibat, protein susu sapi (casein) dan gandum (gluten) tidak dapat dicerna dengan sempurna, karena protein tersebut tidak berubah menjadi asam amino tetapi menjadi peptida yang seharusnya dibuang lewat urin, akan tetapi pada anak autis peptida ini diserap kembali oleh tubuh dan masuk ke otak dan diubah oleh reseptor opioid menjadi morfin. Untuk itu anak autis harus membatasi asupan makanan dari gluten dan kasein, agar tidak membuat anak hiperaktif dan tantrum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran pemahaman ibu mengenai diet GFCF serta sejauh mana ibu menerapkan diet tersebut pada anaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, jenis deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam kepada 6 informan utama dan 11 informan pendukung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ibu pada awalnya tidak memahami dan mengetahui mengenai diet GFCF. Setelah mendapatkan informasi dari terapi, dokter, psikolog dan guru sekolah ibu menjadi paham mengenai diet GFCF dengan dibuktikan ibu sudah mengetahui makanan apa saja yang harus dibatasi. Namun ibu belum bisa menerapkan diet GFCF di kehidupan sehari-hari yang dibuktikan dengan anak masih sering mengonsumsi makanan berbahan dasar tepung dan susu. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dalam form Food Frequency Quetionnaire (FFQ) Qulitative. Tingkat pemahaman ibu mengenai diet GFCF sudah baik, namun dari 6 informan utama belum bisa melakukan diet GFCF dengan baik dan secara ketat. Abstract

Background : Nutrition is one kind of important factors that build qualified human resources. A child being underweight due to two important things, they are food intake and illness. One type of infection that is often found in children that worm infection. The infection is often found in developing countries with lack of personal hygiene. The purpose of this research is to determine relation between personal hygiene and status worm infection with nutritional status among primary children. Methods : This study design was observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. The sample were 51 children fourth grade 01 Banjarsari Kulon and 02 Banjarsari Wetan Primary School. Results : Respondents with normal nutritional status 72%. Respondents with good behavior personal hygiene 59%. Respondents with positive helminthiasis status 53%. Relation between personal hygiene and nutritional status was examined by chi square (p value 1.000 > 0.05). Relation between helminthiasis status and nutritional status p value 0.425. Relation between personal hygiene and helminthiasis status p value 0.625. Conclusion : There is no relation between the behavior of personal hygiene and nutritional status of school children in Puskesmas II Sumbang. There is no relation between helminthiasis status and nutritional status of school children in Puskesmas II Sumbang. There is no relation between personal hygiene and helminthiasis status.
