Abstract

Probability theory is one of the subjects that are difficult to understand by students semester 2 Prodi mathematics education. This can be seen from the low activity resulting in low yield learning probability theory students. This research aims to find out whether the method learning card games can increase the activity of students and student learning outcomes. Research conducted on students semester 2 Prodi mathematics education FKIP UNBARI lesson 2017/2018 year is a research action research which is a combined approach of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research done in cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data was collected by using the observation sheet for student activity data and test results for learning. Research findings show that learning mathematics with the method of card games can increase the activity and results of student learning math semester 2 Prodi mathematics education. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that learning with the method of card games can increase the activity of the students and the results of learning probability theory students semester 2 Prodi mathematics education FKIP UNBARI.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop LKS and knowing the quality of the LKS developed in the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The development of this LKS done on the material matrix of Class XI MIA SMAN 6 city of Jambi. This type of research is the development of research or Research & Developmet (R&D). This study refers to the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery and Evaluations). Assessment instruments used in this development is LKS by expert validation sheet material, design experts, media experts, the evaluation sheet, pre-test and post test. The quality of LKS onaspects of validity views based on validation by experts that is meets the criteria is very good and very viable with overall average 4.14 as well as the overall percentage of 82.9%. On the practicality of views based on the results of the evaluation of field trials by students that is meet the criteria of good and viable with average 4.00 sera overall percentage of 81%. While on the effectiveness of views based on a calculation t count (th) from the results of pre-test and post-test earned amounting to 23.39 and t table (tt) of 2.02 so th greater than tt. This shows that the hypothesis was accepted and acknowledged there were significant differences between the pre-test and post-test. Abstract

Abstract: Products developed in the form of Student Worksheet (LKS) mathematics on the number material for SMP class VII with problem based learning model. The development model used is the ADDIE model consists of several stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was done by 2 material experts, design experts and media experts. The Student Working Sheet (LKS) developed was tested in 3 stages, one to one learner with 3 subjects, small group trial try-out) with the subject of 6 students, field trial (field try-out) with the subject of 36 students. The results showed that the Student Worksheet (LKS) problem based on problem based learning based on the assessment: 1) the material experts obtained the average total of 3.98 included in the category of "Good" and if the percentage get 80% value so that included in the category " Valid ". 2) design experts obtained an average total of 4.00 which is included in the category of "Good" and in percent get the value of 80% so that included in the category "Valid". 3) media experts obtained an average total of 4.83 which is included in the category of "Very Good" and in percent score 97% so that included in the category of "Very Valid". Student assessments were conducted in 3 stages: 1) individual trials obtained an average total of 4.55 that belonged to the category of "Very Good" and in percent score of 91% so that included "Very Valid" category, 2) small group trial obtained total average of 4.65 which belongs to the category of "Very Good" and in percent get 93% value so that the category "Very Valid", 3) field trial obtained the average total 4.64 which belongs to the category "Very Good" and in percent score of 92% so it belongs to the category of "Very Valid". Thus, Student Worksheet (LKS) based on problem based learning on the number material in class VII is declared valid and practical so feasible to be used in the learning process by teachers and junior high school students especially material number.Keywords: Development, Student Worksheet (LKS), Problem Based Learning, ADDIE.

Abstract

This study aims to develop LKS contextualizing algebra-based factorization subjects based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) for grade VIII SMP students and to know the quality of LKS from the aspect of validity and practicality based on the assessment of material experts, design experts, media experts, student assessment on individual trials , student ratings on small group trials, and student ratings on field trials. Validation is done by 2 material experts, design experts, and media experts. The developed LKS were tested in 3 stages, one to one leaner stage with 3 subjects, small group try-out stage with 6 subjects, and field trials (field try-out) with the subject of 23 students. The result of the research shows that the quality of Student Worksheet (LKS) mathematics of algebra based factorization material based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based on the assessment: 1) the material experts obtained the average total of 3.81 included in the "Good" category and if the percentage got 76.2 % are included in the "Very Eligible" category, 2) the design expert obtained an average total of 3.62 which is included in the "Good" category and if the percentage gets 72.4% so it belongs to the category of "Eligible", 3) the media expert gets the 4.43 value included in the "Good" category and if it is punctuated 88.6% to be included in the "Very Eligible" category. Assessment by students is done in 3 stages: 1) individual trials obtained by an average total of 4.75 are included in the "Very Good" category and if the percentage gets 95% so it belongs to the category of "Very Eligible", 2) small group trial is obtained the average total of 4.58 belonging to the category of "Very Good" and if the percentage gets 91.6% so that included in the category of "Very Eligible", 3) field trial obtained an average total of 4.43 which is included in the category of "Very Good" and if censored to 88.6% to be included in the "Very Eligible" category. Thus LKS based mathematics CTL on the materialization factor algebra is declared valid and practical so feasible to be used as a tool of learning mathematics on the materialization of algebraic algebraic.KeyWord: Development, Student Worksheet (LKS), Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), ADDIE

Abstract

This research is based on facts in the research location. Based on the results of preliminary observation in MAN Sungai Gelam Muaro Jambi Regency, the facts given in relation to the still poor problem solving problems mathematically students, seen from the answer given problem. In this study the population is all students of grade XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam. The results showed that students' mathematical problem solving ability using Student Facilitator and Explaning learning model in teaching mathematics of the subject of relation and function in grade XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam that is: (1) Based on the result of posttest obtained the result of learning mathematics of student of sample class on relation material and function for the experimental class using Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model obtained an average of 8.2 and control class using direct learning model obtained an average of 5.8 (2) Based on the final result it can be concluded that the problem solving ability of students using mathematical Student Facilitator And Explaning learning model is higher than direct learning model of XI MIA MAN Sungai Gelam Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.Keywords: Learning Model Student Facilitator And Explaning, Mathematical Problem Solving abilities

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas X SMA Adhyaksa 1 Jambi yaitu rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran dengan menerapkan dua model pembelajaran yaitu, Model Quantum Teaching dan Model Pembelajaran Langsung, serta melihat mana yang lebih baik antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA SMA Adhyaksa Jambi tahun ajaran 2022/2023, sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling, sehingga diperoleh dua kelas sampel yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Kelas sampel tersebuat adalah kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Setelah dua kelas sampel diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, pada akhir penelitian diberikan tes akhir (post-test). Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis kelas eksperimen adalah 77,43 dengan simpangan baku 10,14 dan nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas kontrol 71,67 dengan simpangan baku 10,54, serta hasil dari uji hipotesis diperoleh  dan  pada taraf nyata 0,05. Dari hasil perhitungan tersebut terlihat bahwa  dengan demikian  diterima, artinya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa melalui Model Quantum Teaching lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis melalui Model Pembelajaran Langsung.
