Abstract

Abstrak:Isu krisis energi terus berkembang, dimana dibutuhkan energi terbarukan agar dapat menggantikan energi fosil yang menurut perkiraan akan segera habis, sehingga apabila tidak ada energi yang terbarukan maka manusia akan kekurangan energi, salah satu upaya pengembangan energi terbarukan adalah tenaga air. Tenaga air adalah tenaga yang diperoleh dari air yang mengalir. Energi yang dimiliki air dapat dimanfaatkan dan digunakan dalam bentuk energi mekanis maupun energi listrik. Turbin crossflow mempunyai kontruksi yang sederhana dan memberikan biaya operasional kecil. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan instalasi penelitian yang tersusun atas beberapa peralatan utama. Diantaranya runner (piringan dan sudu), nozel, rotameter, preassure gauge, tachometer dan neraca pegas.penelitian ini menggunakan debit 0,000527 m³/s, 0,000611 m³/s dan 0,000694 m³/s dengan variasi volume air 0,05 m³, 0,1 m³, dan 0,2 m³, menggunakan sudu berjumlah 28 sudu. Unjuk kerja turbin crossflow ditunjukan berdasarkan tekanan, torsi, dan daya turbin serta efisiensi turbin yang diperhitungkan dari hasil pengujian. Hasil perhitungan menunjukan bahwa debit air 0,000694 m³/s yang lebih baik dibandingkan dari debit air 0,000527 m³/s yaitu pada putaran (315,4 rpm) torsi (0,5886 Nm) daya turbin (15,475 watt), daya air (34,722 watt) dan efisiensi turbin (44,6%) terjadi pada debit air 0,000694 m³/s.Kata kunci : Turbin Crossflow, Sudu, Volume, Efisiensi

Abstract

Abstrak: Interferometri optik telah diaplikasikan untuk menentukan deformasi suatu objek akibat pembebanan statis dan dinamis. Teknik ini memanfaatkan adanya perubahan fasa didalam gelombang cahaya koheren. Secara umum system ini terdiri dari: sistem optik, sistem perekam citra dan sistem pengolah citra. Sistem optik menentukan bentuk deformasi yang terjadi, sistem perekam citra berfungsi untuk merekam pola spekel sebelum dan sesudah terjadinya deformasi, dan sistem pengolah citra berfungsi untuk menghitung besarnya deformasi yang terjadi. Hasil dari pengamatan teknik ini adalah pola interferensi atau biasa disebut dengan pola frinji. Dengan menginterpretasikan pola-pola frinji yang didapat, maka secara kuantitatif dapat ditentukan distribusi deformasi yang terjadi. Kata-kata kunci: Interferometri optik, deformasi, fasa, koheren, citra, pola frinji

Abstract

This study conducted the manufacture of permanent magnet composite based on NdFeB magnetic powder and polymer adhesives, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the composition of the mixing of raw materials on mechanical properties and magnetic properties. Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) composite was made by mixing of NdFeB magnetic powder and binder of silicon rubber (SR) in form liquid. The percentage of silicon rubber was varried of 5 %, 10%, 20 % and 30% by volume. Both raw materials were mixed until homogeneous and poured into the mold and allowed to dry at room temperature.The formed samples were characterized which includes the measurement of tensile strength and magnetic properties . The characterization results show that the sample with 20 % and 30 % SR has good flexibilty and other samples are rigid or not flexible. The variation in the composition of silicon rubber has a significant effect on mechanical properties and magnetic properties, especially remanence. The characteristic of flexible rubber magnet with a composition of 20% and 30% silicon rubber is that it has a tensile strength of 9.31 - 11.46 N / mm2 with an elongation of 17.55-26.74% and a hardness of 38-42 HA. While the magnetic properties achieved are magnetic field strength = 430-500 Gauss, remanence = 30-35 emu / g and coercivity of 2000 Oe

Abstract

This study discusses the use of solar energy as a heat source in the roasting process of coffee beans using a Parabolic Dish Collector (PDC), and analyzes the effect of Fresnel glass integration on improving the thermal performance of the system. Field test data collection is carried out repeatedly on two system configurations, namely PDC without and with Fresnel glass. The results showed that in the configuration without Fresnel glass, the temperature of the coffee beans only reached about 200 – 210 °C in the 15th minute, because the heating took place indirectly through the walls of the heating tube. Conversely, with the addition of Fresnel glass, the temperature of the coffee beans reaches the roasting threshold (~200 °C) faster, namely in the 9th to 10th minute, and increases to 241 – 249 °C in the 12th minute. This shows an acceleration of heating time of about 5 – 6 minutes at the same relatively same intensity of the sun. In addition, the average thermal efficiency of the system increased from 8.36% to 10.60%, or an increase of about 26.9%. This finding proves that the integration of Fresnel glass in PDC is able to accelerate the heating process, increase the working temperature, and improve heat absorption efficiency, so that this technology has the potential to be applied to small-scale coffee roasting processes based on solar energy.

Abstract

This community engagement program was designed to improve vocational students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills in technical measurement through hands-on demonstrations of optical instruments in a school laboratory environment. The activities aimed to bridge the gap between abstract physics concepts and their application in technical practice, particularly in relation to measurement accuracy, instrument handling, and observational skills. An experiential learning approach was implemented, integrating interactive demonstrations, guided practice, and reflective discussion to promote active participation and meaningful learning. Student learning outcomes were assessed through formative evaluation and direct observation of engagement, comprehension, and procedural competence during the sessions. The findings indicate notable improvements in students’ understanding of optical principles, appropriate application of measurement techniques, learning motivation, and confidence in using laboratory equipment, highlighting the value of contextualized laboratory-based learning in vocational education.
