Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai analisis perpindahan panas pada water jacket di ruang bakar primer incinerator sampah kota. Analisis perpindahan panas dilakukan ketika water jacket berada dari fase cair hingga mencapai titik didihnya, yaitu 100 oC, Suhu api pembakaran diasumsikan seragam berdasarkan hasil pengukuran api ruang bakar diperoleh nilai stabil yakni 1097 oC. Variasi debit aliran water jacket adalah 300, 400, 500, dan 600 liter/jam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kenaikan suhu dan karakteristik perpindahan panas pada water jacket dan pengaruh variasi debit terhadap kenaikan suhu water jacket  di sepanjang ketinggian dinding ruang bakar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan perhitungan parameter termohidrolika yang merupakan fungsi suhu yang meliputi densitas, viskositas, konduktivitas, dan bilangan Prandtl. Kemudian, dilanjutkan dengan melakukan perhitungan bilangan Reynolds, Nusselt, koefisien perpindahan panas konveksi, Log Mean Temperature Difference (LMTD), resistensi termal total, dan laju perpindahan panas di sepanjang tinggi cerobong (L) sampai suhu air mencapai 100 oC. Perhitungan tersebut dilakukan dengan metode Euler. Dari hasil perhitungan perpindahan panas diketahui bahwa suhu water jacket di sepanjang ketinggian dinding ruang bakar mengalami kenaikan hingga mencapai titik didihnya. Akan tetapi, ketika aliran water jacket semakin mencapai ke atas, gradien kenaikan suhunya mengalami penurunan nilai. Dengan demikian, laju perpindahan panasnya juga ikut mengalami penurunan. Dari variasi debit diperoleh hasil bahwa semakin besar debit aliran water jacket, kenaikan suhu yang dialami water jacket di sepanjang ketinggian ruang bakar juga semakin kecil. Dengan demikian semakin besar debit aliran water jacket, lintasan yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai titik didihnya juga semakin panjang. Semakin besar debit aliran water jacket, maka laju perpindahan panas di posisi aliran yang sama juga semakin besar.

Abstract

The welding business can be one of the business opportunities that can be developed in a business because the profits from the welding business are also very promising. The partners in this PKM activity are the students of the As Saadah Puri Serpong Islamic Boarding School as an alternative business opportunity to run a welding business. The welding business needs to be carried out with adequate knowledge and planning. This is so that the welding business can develop properly and experience an increase in terms of turnover and profit. Based on the results of observations and discussions with the two partners, there were several problems encountered both in the process of selecting locations, equipment, business design, execution processes and marketing. There is no adequate knowledge of welding technology and important things that must be considered in running a welding business, so it is considered necessary to provide training so that the welding business can be carried out with good planning and supervision. The solutions proposed or offered in this PKM activity are as follows: 1. Aspects of production: In accordance with the problems faced by the two partners, solutions for business aspects include: a. creating a guiding model regarding quality management both in the process of selecting tools and materials as well as in the welding process. B. By applying painting technology with paint that dries faster than ordinary paint. 2. Management aspect: The solution offered to partners is to provide business/business management training covering planning to control both in production and management aspects. 3. Aspects of customer convenience and satisfaction: The solution offered to partners is to provide a strategy for making customers comfortable and satisfied when performing welding services, so that customers do not only make fences and trellis once, but will come back and come back again because they feel comfortable and satisfied with service. They will become loyal customers, even customers who will attract other potential customers.

Abstract

Filter merupakan komponen pendukung mesin berupa saringan terbuat dari material yang memiliki kemampuan menyaring dalam satuan mikron. Dalam teknologi permesinan dan transportasi dikenal berbagai jenis filter. Filter tersebut dibagi berdasarkan letak penggunaanya pada mesin kendaraan atau mesin pembangkit. diantaranya Air filter untuk menyaring udara sebelum masuk ke ruang bakar , Oil filter untuk menyaring oli mesin dari sisa – sisa pembakaran dan gesekan piston, Fuel filter untuk menyaring bahan bakar dari kontaminan yang dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan mesin, dan Cabin filter untuk menyaring udara pada cabin kendaraan supaya bersih dan sehat bagi penggunanya. Inner dan Outter merupakan komponen penyusun sebuah filter. Fungsinya adalah sebagai penguat media element supaya tidak terjadi collapse atau explode pada filter ketika media element menerima tekanan. Dalam pembuatanya menggunakan plat SEGC kemudian disambung dengan metode las titik ataupun sambungan lipat. Kekuatan dari sambungan merupakan hal yang penting karena menyangkut daya tahan dari filter tersebut. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis kinerja las titik dan sambungan lipat dengan metoda uji tarik dengan variasi overlap, ketebalan material dan jenis diamond. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis sambungan yang paling efektif untuk pembuatan filter udara kendaraan. Penelitian dimulai dengan studi pustaka pengelasan titik dan sambungan lipat. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses persiapan alat dan bahan penelitian. setelah alat dan bahan sudah siap maka dilakukan proses pengelasan titik dan sambungan lipat dengan variasi overlap dan tebal material. setelah itu dilakukan pengujian kekuatan tarik. setelah diperoleh data kekuatan tarik maka dilakukan pengolahan data dan analisa. Dari hasil analisa kita dapat menarik kesimpulan dan saran dari penelitian ini. Target luaran penelitian ini adalah makalah ilmiah yang akan dipublikasikan dalam seminar International Conference on Mechanical Construction, Advanced Material, and Energy Conversion ICMCAMEC 2023 yang akan diadakan oleh Program Studi Teknik Mesin Universitas Pamulang.

Abstract

The Purbalingga Regency area has potential natural disaster risks that need to be identified and managed effectively. This research focuses on developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map areas prone to natural disasters in Purbalingga Regency. The main objective of this research is to provide reliable tools for related parties to understand, manage, and respond to potential natural disaster risks more efficiently. The research methodology involves the stages of spatial data analysis, natural disaster data collection, and integration of GIS technology. Thematic maps covering various types of natural disasters such as fires, landslides, and hurricanes were developed by considering topographic factors, rainfall, and disaster history. In addition, this map is equipped with detailed information such as the location of evacuation sites, evacuation routes, and other critical facilities. This system is implemented as a web-based application that can be accessed by authorities, disaster management agencies, and the general public. This application allows users to explore interactive maps, access disaster-related information, and facilitate disaster mitigation planning. With the GIS mapping of areas prone to natural disasters, it is hoped that Purbalingga Regency can increase preparedness and response to potential natural disasters, involve active community participation in mitigation efforts, and reduce the impact caused by natural disasters in the future

Abstract

Motorized vehicles, especially motorbikes, have now become daily necessities, no longer classified as luxury goods. Due to the high level of need, almost every family has one motorbike, maybe even more than one. Motor vehicles are simple forms of transportation, can be driven in residential areas, both urban and rural, and the operational costs are relatively affordable for most groups. Current developments in motorbike design allow riders from young to old. Data shows that demand and use of motorbikes continues to increase. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2022 the number of vehicles in Indonesia will reach 148,212,865. The number of private vehicles in Indonesia is still dominated by motorbikes with a figure of 125,267,349 units (almost 85% of which are dominated by motorbikes). With the rapid increase in the number of motorized vehicles, many workshops and repairs have emerged, both large and small, official and unofficial workshops. The problems that arise are due to busyness, laziness or lack of knowledge and skills, so motorbike servicing is carried out at a repair shop. Especially for young people and students, who only like riding motorbikes, don't care about the condition of the motorbike, and don't learn how to service it even to repair minor damage. This will benefit the workshop. In fact, you should be able to save money if you can repair it yourself. It can even be detrimental if it is serviced by an irresponsible illegal workshop. From the results of surveys and observations at the Assa'adah Islamic Boarding School, South Tangerang, almost all students are unable to service their motorbikes themselves. Therefore, the team of Mechanical Engineering Lecturers at Pamulang University offers motorbike service training for students with the aim of giving them knowledge and skills in servicing motorbikes. Armed with this knowledge and skills, it is hoped that motorbike maintenance and if damage occurs, you can do it yourself, you don't need to take it to a repair shop. At least with this knowledge and skills, you can save financial expenses, and even the knowledge and skills obtained can become provisions for opening a motorbike service business in the future. The training offered is packaged in the form of Community Service (PKM) as one of the elements of the Tridharma of Higher Education. A short training method will be given in theory about motorbike service and maintenance, and practical motorbike service and maintenance will be carried out.

Abstract

Measurement is the process of comparing parameters on a being measured object against standardized one. It is an effort to obtain descriptive-quantitative information about the physical and chemical variables of a substance or object being measured, such as a length of 1 meter or a mass of 1 kilogram, and so forth. In everyday life, many objects require measurement for specific purposes in the workplace, at schools or campuses. Based on observations carried out at Assa’adah Islamic High School in Puri Serpong, South Tangerang, there are constraints related to measurement subjects such as lack of teaching competence, laboratories and practical equipment. Therefore, technical measurement training is needed for students at Assa’adah Islamic High School in Puri Serpong, South Tangerang, to enhance their knowledge and develop good skills in measuring technical equipment. The process of learning technical measurement at the high school should be supported by various factors, including student motivation, learning media, learning facilities, teacher motivation, and the teaching methods used by teachers. The result of the after training is that the knowledge and skills of the students related to technical measurement, increasing than before.

Abstract

Choosing a good machine and process to make a particular product requires basic knowledge about all the possibilities that occur during the production process. Therefore, material selection, machine settings and determining appropriate machining parameters need to be optimized to produce quality products. In the milling process, surface roughness is very important. From this surface roughness, an evaluation can be made whether the workpiece is acceptabel or not. The lower the surface roughness of a workpiece, the better the quality of the workpiece. The higher the surface roughness, the lower the performance of the components of the workpiece pair will be because it will increase friction on the components of the machine elements. This research aims to determine the effect of variations in feeding work movement, spindle rotation, and feed depth on the level of surface roughness resulting from conventional milling machining processes. This research also discusses which influences produce optimal surface roughness values in conventional milling machining processes. This research was carried out three times in one combination. Data collection on surface roughness values was carried out horizontally on the surface of the workpiece by taking data three times on the workpiece. The results of the statistical analysis prove that the feeding movement variable is proven to have a significant influence on surface roughness, while the optimum combination for the lowest level of surface roughness can be obtained with a feeding movement of 249 mm/minute (3rd test)

Abstract

Indonesia's natural and cultural riches have attracted the attention of foreign researchers to conduct research in Indonesia. Indonesia is considered to be one of the largest biological laboratories in the world, so there are many objects that can be used for research by foreign researchers. To provide research licensing services for foreign researchers who wish to conduct research in Indonesia, a legal basis was issued, namely Law No. 11 of 2019 concerning the National System of Science and Technology which regulates research licensing for foreign researchers in Indonesia. As a supporter of Law no. 11 of 2019, BRIN Regulation no. 22 of 2022 concerning Ethical Clearance has been issued. To provide foreign research licensing services according to Law No. 11 of 2019, it is carried out by the Directorate of Research and Innovation Licensing and Scientific Governance of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). To make it easier to apply for research permits for foreign researchers, several service improvements were made, namely the first was the formation of an ethics commission team to replace the TKPIPA team to evaluate incoming proposals. Second, the number of files that foreign researchers need to prepare is less than before, namely from 14 documents to 7 documents. Third, creating an ethical clearance website to upload the required files in digital form which was previously done offline and submitting hard copy files. Fourth, the addition of financial reporting features to make it easier to check payments and send research progress reports by foreign researchers.
