Globalisasi tidak mengenal adanya batas-batas wilayah, bahkan tidak mengenal aturan lokal, regional. Akibat dari arus globalisasi yang demikian serta perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi saat ini, maka dampak yang ditimbulkan tentunya sangat besar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan Strategi studi kasus. salah satu metode atau cara yang bisa digunakan ilmuwan ketika meneliti sebuah penelitian ilmiah yang tujuannya adalah sebagai dasar dalam membangun serta mengkoleksi data- data yang ada. Bregodo Yudha Manggala lahir di tengah-tengah masyarakat dusun Kemiri dengan tujuan membangun masyarakat dengan rasa kekeluargaan yang lebih erat serta turut melestarikan budaya adiluhung Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.

The historical trajectory of East Java, particularly Magetan, is intricately linked with the broader political and cultural developments of Central Java and Yogyakarta, especially since the Hindu-Buddhist era and the subsequent rise of Mataram Islam. This research investigates how historical political dynamics have shaped contemporary cultural identities in the Magetan region. Through a historical approach and the analysis of various archival sources, the study examines key political events, including the conquest of Kanitèn, the Trunojoyo rebellion, and the Chinese Insurrection, and their impacts on Magetan. The findings reveal that the political maneuvers of Mataram Islam, coupled with Dutch colonial intervention, significantly influenced the cultural landscape in Magetan. The concept of keagungbinataraan mandated Magetan’s allegiance to the Yogyakarta Sultanate, resulting in the adoption of Mataraman culture as an expression of loyalty. The political rivalry between the Surakarta and Yogyakarta palaces intensified cultural contestations, with Magetan predominantly aligning with the Yogyakarta Sultanate, as evidenced by the prevalent use of the slendro-tuned gamelan. These results underscore the enduring influence of historical political events on Magetan’s cultural identity, which continues to evolve in the present day.

This study investigates the foundation and role of Zending in the historical development of the GKJ Ngulakan Church in Kulon Progo from 1916 to 1980. The research aims to examine the establishment of the church and assess the contributions of Zending to its institutional and community growth. Employing the historical method, this study follows a structured approach, including topic selection, heuristics, source verification, interpretation, and historiography. The findings reveal that GKJ Ngulakan was officially established in 1916 by the Dutch Gereformeerd Zending, following the emergence of a Christian congregation in Ngulakan in 1913. Beyond its religious mission, Zending played a transformative role in local education, healthcare, and economic development. Over time, particularly from 1980 onwards, the church witnessed substantial growth, characterized by an increase in baptized members and the institutionalization of synod sessions for pastoral appointments. This study underscores the critical influence of Zending in shaping not only the religious landscape of GKJ Ngulakan but also its broader socio-economic environment, offering new insights into the intersection of missionary activities and local community development.
