Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are to describe the effectiveness of the CTL approach viewed from students achievement in SK/KD and mathematics connection ability, describe the effectiveness of the problem posing approach viewed from students achievement in SK/KD and mathematics connection ability, and determine which one is more effective between the CTL approach and the problem posing approach viewed from the students achievement in SK/KD and mathematics connection ability. This research was a quasi-experiment with apretest-posttest non- equivalent group design. The research population covered the entire students of class VII of SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Classes of VIIA and VIIB were established as the sample using the random sampling technique. To test the effectiveness of mathematics teaching using the CTL approach and the problem posing approach, the analysis of one sample t-test was used. Furthermore, to discover the difference between the effectiveness of mathematics teaching using the CTL approach and the problem posing approach, the data were analyzed using T2Hotellingstest, and t test to determine which approach was more effective. The research result suggests that the CTL approach is effective viewed from the students achievement in SK/KD and mathematics connection ability, the problem posing approach is effective viewed from the students achievement in SK/KD and mathematics connection ability, and the CTL approach is more effective than the problem posing approach viewed from the students achievement in SK/KD, and mathematics connection ability. Keywords: contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach, problem posing approach, achivement of SK/KD, and students mathematics connection ability.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan CTL ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa, mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa, dan menentukan mana yang lebih efektif antara pendekatan CTL atau pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Kelas VIIA dan VIIB ditentukan sebagai sampel menggunakan random sampling technique.Untuk menguji keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan CTL dan problem posing digunakan analisis one sample t-test. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui perbedaan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan CTL dan problem posing, data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji T2 Hotellings, dan uji t untuk menentukan pendekatan yang lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CTL efektif ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa, pendekatan problem posing efektif ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa, dan pendekatan CTL lebih efektif daripada pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari ketercapaian SK/KD, dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa.Kata Kunci: pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL), pendekatan problem posing, ketercapaian SK/KD, dan kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to: 1) describe the understanding of early childhood vocabulary after being given a science-based approach using letter card in the upper class (0 Besar) at Yosi Kindergarten; 2) to describe the understanding of the vocabulary of the early child after being given a science-oriented approach using picture card in the upper class (0 Besar) at Yosi Kindergarten; and 3) to describe the difference vocabulary understanding in early childhood after being taught a scientific approach between using the letter and the picture cards in the upper class (0 Besar) at Yosi Kindergarten. This research method used Classroom Action Research (CAT). The results showed that there was a difference between the application of the scientific approach using letter cards that received an average score of 74% and the application of the scientific approach using picture cards obtained an average value of 87.75%, thus showing a difference of 13.75%.Keywords: scientific approach, letter cards, picture cards, vocabulary understanding Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman kosakata anak usia dini setelah diberikan pembelajaran berpendekatan saintifik menggunakan kartu huruf di kelas 0 Besar TK Yosi; 2) mendeskripsikan pemahaman kosakata anak usia dini setelah diberikan pembelajaran berpendekatan saintifik menggunakan kartu gambar di kelas 0 Besar TK Yosi; dan 3) mendeskripsikan perbedaan pemahaman kosakata anak usia dini setelah diajarkan berpendekatan saintifik antara yang menggunakan kartu huruf dan kartu gambar di kelas 0 Besar TK Yosi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara penerapan pendekatan saintifik menggunakan kartu huruf yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74% dan penerapan pendekatan saintifik menggunakan kartu gambar memperoleh nilai rata-rata 87,75% sehingga menunjukkan perbedaan sebesar 13,75%.Kata Kunci:pendekatan saintifik, kartu huruf, kartu gambar, pemahaman kosakata

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out the result of learning Indonesian language of the students in fifth grade at Public Elementary School Number 15 Nanga Pinoh using a cooperative model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) based on a scientific approach. This research method used quantitative research, and the type of the research is quasi experimental research (Quasi Experiment Design) in the form of Noneequavalent Control Group Design. The result of the research showed that the pre-test value in experiment and control class is tcount = -0.854 ttable = 2.045. This means that there is not any differences found, whereas in the post-test value in the experimental class and the control tcount = 3.180ttable = 2.045 for α 5% = 0.05 showed a difference between post-test experiment with control, therefore there is a significant difference between the learning model experiments andthe conventional methods which was applied on students in class VA and VB at Public Elementary School Number 15 Nanga Pinoh.Keywords:application of think pair share (tps), scientific approach, result of learningindonesian language. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SDN 15 Nanga Pinoh menggunakan model kooperatif Think-Pair-Share (TPS) berbasis pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif, jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu atau (Quasi Exsperimen Design) bentuk Noneequavalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai pre-test pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu thitung = -0.854 ttabel = 2.045. Berarti tidak terdapat perbedaan, sedangkan pada nilai post-test di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol thitung  = 3.180 ttabel = 2.045 untuk α 5%=0,05 berarti terdapat perbedaan antara post-tes eksperimen dengan kontrol, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran eksperimen dengan metode konvensional pada kelas VA dan VB SDN 15 Nanga Pinoh.Kata Kunci:  penerapan think pair share (tps), pendekatan saintifik, hasil belajar bahasa   indonesia.
