Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan paradigma dalam pembelajaran merupakan keniscayaan. Perubahan terjadi dalam desain, proses dan dan penilaian dalam pembelajaran. Perubahan menuntut guru mempersiapkan diri dengan berbagai ketrampilan, salah satunya ketrampilan pengembangan sumber belajar. Sumber belajar yang dikembangkan guru tentunya memiliki keunggulan dibandingkan dengan sumber belajar yang sudah tersedia seperti buku paket. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan guru dalam pengembangan sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan dalam belajar mandiri. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode experiential learning dengan pendekatan participant-centered melalui teknik case study, dan simulasi, dilanjutkan dengan praktek pengembangan sumber belajar dengan pendampingan oleh tim pengabdian pada Masyarakat. Luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan motivasi, pemahaman dan ketrampilan guru-guru IPA MTs se Kabupaten Bogor dan berhasilnya guru mengembangkan produk sumber belajar yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: experiential learning; keterampilan guru; sumber belajar.AbstractThe change in paradigm in learning is a necessity. Changes occur in the design, process and assessment of learning. Change requires teachers to prepare themselves with various skills, one of which is the development of learning resources. Learning resources developed by teachers certainly have advantages compared to learning resources that are already available such as textbooks. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the motivation, knowledge and skills of teachers in developing learning resources that can be used in independent learning. This community service uses the experiential learning method with a participant-centered approach through case study techniques, and simulations, followed by the practice of developing learning resources with mentoring by the community service team. The output of this activity is increasing motivation, understanding and skills of MTs IPA teachers in Bogor Regency and the success of teachers in developing learning resource products that are used in learning.Key Word: experiential learning; learning resources; teacher skills.

Abstract

AbstrakPerilaku pro-lingkungan adalah sebuah tindakan yang dilakukan secara sadar untuk mengurangi dampak negatif yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas manusia pada lingkungan. Perilaku pro-lingkungan peserta didik dapat ditingkatkan salah satunya melalui ecoliteracy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan ecoliteracy dengan perilaku pro-lingkungan peserta didik SMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 45 Jakarta pada semester genap bulan Mei  tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan studi korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 168 peserta didik yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil uji prasyarat diketahui bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,171 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,026, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara ecoliteracy dengan perilaku pro-lingkungan peserta didik SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta. Koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,029, artinya ecoliteracy berkontribusi terhadap perilaku pro-lingkungan peserta didik SMP Negeri 45 Jakarta sebesar 2,9%. Kata kunci: Ecoliteracy, perilaku pro-lingkungan, peserta didik. ABSTRACTPro-environmental behavior is a conscious act to reduce the negative impact caused by human activity on the environment. Pro-environment behavior in students can be improved through ecoliteracy. This study aims to determine the relationship of ecoliteracy with pro-environment behavior in students of junior high school. This research was conducted at 45 Jakarta junior high school on May 2017-2018. The method used is descriptive method with correlational study. Total of sample are 168 students selected by simple random sampling technique. The result of prerequisite test known that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The correlation coefficient is 0.171 and the significance value is 0.026, it means there is a significant correlation between ecoliteracy with pro-environment behavior of students of 45 Jakarta Junior High School. The coefficient of determination is 0.029, it means that ecoliteracy has determine pro-environment behavior of students of 45 Jakarta Junior High School equal to 2.9%. Keywords: Ecoliteracy, pro-environment behavior, student.

Abstract

Teacher’s interpersonal behavior, play a critical role on teacher-student interaction. Teacher-student interaction related to student’s participation on learining process. Student’s participation related to student’s outcome. The aim of this research is to investigate whether there is a correlation between teacher’s interpersonal behavior ans student’s participation with student outcome. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Bekasi on October-November 2018. The total sample was 114 students of Mathematics and Science Programe at eleventh grade. The method used for this research is descriptive method. The result showed that there is a positive correlation between teacher’s interpersonal behavior and student’s biology outcome, a positive correlation between student’s participation and student’s biology outcome, a positive correlation between teacher’s interpersonal behavior and student’s participation, and also a positive correlation between teacher’s interpersonal behavior and student’s participation with student’s biology outcome.Keywords: learning outcome, participation, teacher’s interpersonal behavior

Abstract

Biology lab exercise are an important aspect on learning process. However, the outcome of the lab activity might not come as the curriculum goals expected. It is due to several reasons. This paper try to measure the relationship between students’ character and students’ performance in Biology lab exercise. This study used self-confidence as a proxy of students’ character. A unique Indonesian high school datasets and simple regression analysis were used for this research. Evidence shows that pupils’ self-confidence 3% among other variables that determine students’ performance and it has positive but insignificant impacts on students performance. The evidence demonstrates there is a weak relationship between self-confidence and students performance in lab practice. Keyword: self confidence; performance of students; Biology practice

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan Olimpiade Sains bagi guru-guru Al Azhar jenjang Sekolah Dasar ini merupakan wadah pembinaan spiritual, mental, dan kompetensi olimpiade. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam; 1) menganalisis silabus OSN tingkat nasional; 2) mengadaptasikan soal-soal OSN tingkat Nasional; dan 3) menyusun soal-soal OSN. Pelatihan menggunakan metode experiential learning dengan pendekatan participant-centered melalui teknik diskusi, tanya jawab, brainstorming, observasi, kerja kelompok dan presentasi hasil. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan tahapan; 1) Analisis silabus OSN tingkat nasional; 2) Adaptasi soal-soal OSN tingkat Nasional; dan 3) Penyusunan soal-soal OSN. Pelatihan ini berjalan dengan baik dan memberikan manfaat yang signifikan serta  terdapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat soal olimpiade.  Kata kunci: brainstorming; experiental learning; guru; OSN; pelatihan.                                                                                                               ABSTRACTThe Science Olympiad Training Al Azhar elementary school teachers for 2019 is a forum for spiritual, mental and Olympic competence development. This activity aims to improve teacher competency in; 1) analyze the national level The Science Olympiad syllabus; 2) adapt National level The Science Olympiad questions; and 3) compile The Science Olympiad questions. The training uses experiential learning methods with participant-centered approach through discussion techniques, question and answer, brainstorming, observation, group work and presentation of results. In this activity carried out stages; 1) National level The Science Olympiad syllabus analysis; 2) Adaptation of National Level The Science Olympiad questions; and 3) Compilation of The Science Olympiad questions. Abstract

Readiness is an important factor that every person must have in order to be able to carry out activities thoroughly and optimally. Students must have readiness in facing the final exam. This study aims to determine the effect of student participation in tutoring on student readiness in facing the final exam. The research was conducted at Public High School Cibinong. The research method used was ex post facto. The population of this study was all students of class XI in Public High School Cibinong. The sample used in this study was 70 XI students majoring in Natural Sciences who were taken by proportional random sampling. After testing the prerequisites, the research data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the hypothesis test conducted using the Smith-Satterthwaite formula in the data two weeks before the test obtained the Smith-Satterthwaite t value of 0.47. This means that there is an effect of student participation in tutoring on readiness to face biology final exam test. In the data taken one day before the assessment the Smith-Satterthwaite t value was obtained 0.85 which means that there was no influence of student participation in tutoring on the readiness to face the final examination of the biology.

Abstract

Abstrak - Gaya belajar merupakan cara yang digunakan siswa untuk memahami informasi pembelajaran. Setiap siswa memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda, sehingga cara belajar mereka mungkin berbeda juga. Informasi tentang gaya belajar siswa adalah sesuatu yang harus dipertimbangkan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran akan berjalan efektif dan membantu siswa mencapai prestasi terbaiknya. Ada banyak teori dan model gaya belajar. Instrumen penentu  gaya belajar juga telah banyak dikembangkan, salah satunya adalah gaya belajar menurut David Kolb. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ragam gaya belajar siswa SMA menurut David Kolb dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di SMAN 105 Jakarta pada bulan April - Agustus 2016. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa adalah Kolb Learning Style Inventory (KLSI) Versi 3.1 tahun 2005. Hasil yang diperoleh dari  penelitian ini adalah gaya belajar siswa SMAN 105 Jakarta tersebar dalam 4 ragam gaya yaitu diverger, assimilator, akomodator, dan konverger. Kelompok siswa dengan gaya belajar terbesar adalah diverger diikuti gaya belajar assimilator, accomodator dan converger. Terdapat perbedaan sebaran gaya belajar pada masing-masing tingkatan kelas.Abstract - Learning style is the way which is using by the students to understand the learning information. Every student has different learning style which makes the way how they learn might be different as well. The information about the students’ learning style is something that teacher has to consider about in designing the learning so that the learning activity will run effectively and help the students to achieve their best achievement. There are many theories and model of learning style. The determinant instrument of learning style had been developed, one of it is learning style by David Kolb. This study aims to know various kinds of learning style of Senior High School students according to David Kolb in Biology learning. This study has been conducted at SMAN 105 Jakarta on April – Agustus 2016. This study was conducted by using survey method. The instrument using to determine students’ learning style is Kolb’s Learning Style Inventory (KLSI) Version 3.1 year 2005. The result found from this study is there are four students’ learning styles at SMAN 105 Jakarta, which are diverger, assimilator, accommodator, and converger. The largest amount of students’ learning style is diverger, then following by assimilator, acomodator and converger. Also, there are some differences learning style distribution on each grade levels.Keywords - Acomodator, Assimilator, Converger, Diverger, Learning Style

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Media Pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan potensi yang terdapat di sekitar sekolah, dapat membantu guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan pengadaan media pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini didasari kenyataan pada umumnya guru masih memiliki kesulitan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang sederhana dengan potensi yang ada di sekitar sekolah. Tujuan umum kegiatan ini adalah mengenalkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan pengadaan media pembelajaran. Secara khusus memberi bekalan kepada guru untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA yang inovatif berbasis potensi lokal. Pelatihan ini menggunakan Metode experiential learning dengan pendekatan participant-centered melalui teknik case study, dan simulasi. Pengabdian ini berhasil memberikan pemahaman dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan pengadaan media pembelajaran mata pelajaran IPA baik secara konsepsional maupun praktikal

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada peserta didik dapat diberdayakan dengan memberikan masalah yang tidak biasa dan tidak menentu seperti pertanyaan atau dilema, sehingga penerapan yang sukses dari kemampuan ini adalah ketika peserta didik berhasil menjelaskan, memutuskan, menunjukkan, dan menghasilkan penyelesaian masalah dalam konteks pengetahuan dan pengalaman. Kegiatan ini didasari kenyataan pada umumnya guru masih memiliki kesulitan dalam mengembangkan pertanyaan dan soal yang sesuai dengan karakteristik berpikir tingkat tinggi. Tujuan umum kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan dan keterampilan guru-guru biologi Madrasah Aliyah Negeri se Jakarta dalam menyusun pertanyaan dan soal yang sesuai dengan karakteristik berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kegiatan di ikuti oleh 40 guru biologi dari 40 Madrasah Aliyah di Jakarta. Kegiatan ini menggunakan Metode experiential learning dengan pendekatan participant-centered melalui teknik case study, dan simulasi/presentasi hasil karya. Pengabdian ini berhasil memberikan pemahaman dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan kesulitan dalam menyusun pertanyaan dan soal yang sesuai dengan karakteristik berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Science learning media is an inseparable part of a learning process. The achievement of learning indicators made by a teacher, in addition to being determined by teaching skills and mastering the material, also determined learning media. These community service activities are based on the fact that teachers generally still have difficulties in developing learning media that are simple, inexpensive and can stimulate student involvement. The purpose of this activity is to provide teachers with the tools to develop innovative and challenging science learning media that are in accordance with the 21th century character. This training uses experiential learning methods with participant-centered approach through case study techniques, and simulations, followed by the process of making learning media simple. The resulting output target is the ability to develop innovative and simple science learning media.
