<![CDATA[This article discusses the affairs of the conjugation government of the local government of West Lombok Regency related to the necessary essential services that are the authority of provincial and District government/city in the field of waste. One of the programs is the environmental health community based on Total Sanitation (STBM).Artikel ini membahas tentang urusan pemerintahan konkuren dari Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Lombok barat terkait urusan wajib pelayanan dasar yang menjadi kewenangan Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi dan Daerah Kabupaten/ Kota di bidang persampahan. Komitmen pemerintah daerah kabupaten Lombok barat dalam pengelolaan sampah di wiliyahnya baru berupa Peraturan Bupati Lombok barat Nomor 6a Tahun 2015 Tentang Pengelolaan persampahan/ kebersihan. Sejauh ini instrument tersebut belum mampu mengakomodir urusan kongkuren pemerintah karna perkembangan penduduk dan industri yang begitu massif dan berdampak pada volume sampah, serta pengelolaan sampah yang belum terstandarisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dasar normatif dan empiris tentang pengelolaan sampah yang lebih baik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitiahukum normatif dan empiris. sosial budaya tadi, demikian pula dengan perilaku dan lingkungan. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa Perilaku masyarakat belum taat aturan sehingga upaya penyuluhan hukum dan sosialisasi peraturan bidang persampahan penting dilakukan. Prilaku bebas buang air besar sembangan, buang sampah tidak pada tempatnya, pembakaran sampah menjadi tugas pemerintah bersama masyarakat untuk meminimalisir hal tersebut.
