Abstract

Children are specific target audience group that has different characteristics with adult. If an adult has the ability to think logically and to communicate verbally, most children are lack of these skills. This condition is normal in human development stages, but for today’s highly competitive television industry children are in danger on absorbing programs that is not suitable for their developmental stage. In this case, parents have to accompany and supervise their children’s television viewing habit. This research conducted in Perumahan Gandaria Town House, Jakarta by in-depth interview and observation. In-depth interview gathered data from parents point of view on how they develop television viewing regulation in their house. While observation conducted in order to gather data on the children’s viewing habit. As a result, we found that parent in each family already has television viewing regulations in their house. This regulation supposedly will able to guide and protect the children while watching television. But other finding shown, parents themselves are the one who broke the regulations. Through observation, evidence shown that children watch adult or teenagers television programs not by their own choice, but by their parents choice. It is important to recommend parents to have better understanding on basic media literacy skill, so they can guide and accompany their children to be able to choose the most suitable programs for them. By accompanying and guide their children while watching television, parents are also allowed their children to build critical thinking and prepare them to have basic media literacy skills.

Abstract

This research begins with the amount of food waste that is increasing every year, to exceed the amount of plastic waste. Globally, food wasted gets 1.3 billion tonnes per year. In Indonesia, it is recorded that there will be 46.35 million tons of food waste in 2021, which if we calculate the wasted energy content, it should be able to provide decent food to 61-125 million people. This is an irony considering that the number of poor people in Indonesia is 26.50 million people. Therefore, the Zero Waste Indonesia Community Cares for the Environment launched a food waste- themed campaign, namely #HabiskanMakananmu. This campaign aims to invite people to finish the food they eat in order to reduce food waste. Based on the known background, the purpose of this study is to describe the level of environmental awareness of followers of the Instagram account @zerowaste.id_official related to the #HabiskanMakananmu campaign. This study uses a positivist paradigm with a quantitative descriptive approach. The unit of analysis in this study is individuals who are followers of the Instagram account @zerowaste.id_official with non- probability sampling technique and the method used is purposive sampling. This study uses one variable, namely environmental awareness related to the #HabiskanMakananmu campaign consisting of the dimensions of knowledge, attitude, and action. The result of the highest statement is on the dimension of knowledge, and the lowest statement is on the dimension of action, so based on the results it can be concluded that the environmental awareness of followers of the Instagram account @zerowaste.id_official is quite high in knowledge, but still low in attitudes and actions.

Abstract

Diabetes type 2 is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by an increase of blood sugar levels in the body due to insufficient insulin resistance. Noni (Morinda citrifolia L) is a medicinal plant that can be used as an alternative treatment for diabetes. One receptor involved in diabetes treatment is Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma (PPAR-γ), which plays a role in insulin sensitization in adipose tissue. This in silico study investigates the potential of noni fruit using Lipinski's Rule of Five (RO5) prediction, ADME-Tox prediction, and molecular docking to identify several metabolites with strong binding affinity to PPAR-γ. The results indicate that rutin violates Lipinski's Rule of Five and has an HIA value of 2.861176%, making it poorly absorbed orally and more suitable for non-oral formulations. The KI value of 4.19 µM and the amino acid interactions most similar to the natural ligand indicate that rutin shows a strong binding affinity to PPAR-γ, demonstrating its potential efficacy as an antidiabetic agent.
