Abstract

Cooking oil and ecoenzyme are one type of combination that can be used for making hand washing soap. The purpose of this study is to make soap from used cooking oil and ecoenzyme as the basic ingredients and see its compatibility with SNI standards. The process of making soap begins with the design of three different types of oil and ecoenzyme content formulations. There are three comparisons of oil and ecoenzyme content used, namely: F1 (66% and 11%), F2 (56% and 16%), F3 (46% and 21%). The parameters that become the benchmark in testing soap quality come from SNI 3532: 2016 and the Domestic Waste Quality Standards. Although the three types of formulas do not meet the overall SNI quality standards and Domestic Waste Quality Standards, the results of laboratory tests show that the third formula is the closest to SNI quality standards. Based on the results of statistical tests with multiple linear regression test models show that the oil content and ecoenzyme affect the increase in total fat in soap

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using CNC routers on the standard production time of ornament products at PT Victory Synergy. CNC itself is a machine that is controlled through numeric and letter codes (numerics) which consists of three main components, namely the computer, interface, and actuator system. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach. Information or research data is obtained through observation, literature studies and interviews with production operators. Based on the results of measurements that have been done, it shows that the existence of CNC routers on the production floor was able to shorten the production stages that were previously carried out to reduce the production cycle time to reach 63.97 minutes or ± 1 hour from the previous production process. This condition also proves that the design of these simple CNC routers can shorten the standard production time that occurs at PT Victory Synergy

Abstract

Bus stop is one of the facilities it must be used by users of trans batam service. All facilities are built to provide convenience and comfort for users who used these services. Unfortunately, the repair efforts still left unfinished homework. Starting from the shape and size of different dimensions of facilities, as well as conformity to the needs of service users to safety aspects it must be fulfilled by providers. Through observational studies (observations) and literature studies, this study seeks to identify potential hazards that may occur in existing facilities in the bus stop area. This study uses a random sampling technique to obtain actual data / information by focused on the location (passenger waiting room) which has access to stop routes from various routes in Batam City, starting from the Batam Center and Batu Aji areas. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative techniques, and combines with failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) techniques to obtain priority information on potential hazards that may occur based on the consensus of several parties who have a relationship with the service. Based on the results of analysis that has been done, information on 10 priorities of the highest potential hazards that may occur and become a priority for immediate improvement

Abstract

The development of the industrial sector requires researchers to continue in innovate, from anindustrial management system, workflow design, to product innovation. There are so manyinnovations from products that are created to make it easier for users to do their work. But still,there are many MSMEs that still use human energy to do certain jobs, one of which is liftingand carrying loads manually or commonly referred to as Manual Materials. Handling (MMH).In one case of the MSMEs spare part distributor "Sigma Motor", it was found that the workersstill use Manual Material Handling, and this material handling is done repeatedly with thedistance that they must travel in 8 meters. With this distance each worker per minute can manageto transport 3 boxes at a time. This has an impact on reduced work productivity, the emergenceof pain in workers both temporary and permanent, increasing the possibility of accidents. Thisstudy uses the Nordic Body Map (NDM) method to analyze the most common complaints andthe Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method to analyze worker posture. As well asanthropometric measurements to determine the dimensions of the trolley design for proposal toMSMEs. This study aims to determine complaints of pain, worker posture when handlingmaterials, and existing risks. Also, to design a trolley for proposal to MSMEs with ergonomicsstudies. With the proposal design trolley, hope that can help workers in transporting boxes ofgoods from the loading area to container trucks and in other way. So, the result of this researchis to change a work process on MSMEs in material handling by using tools from the trolleydesign as a suggestion to MSMEs to help workers in material handling.

Abstract

Egg shell and soil is a combination that can be used to make organic fertilizer. The purpose of this research is to make organic fertilizer from the basic ingredients of egg shells and soil determine its suitability with the fertilizer standard, namely SNI 7763:2018. Fertilizer design begins by determining 4 sample formulations with different ratios between egg shells and soil. The four comparisons of soil and eggshell samples were S1(80%: 20%), S2(50%: 50%), S3(60%: 40%), S4(40%: 60%). The standards and parameters that are used as benchmarks in this research are SNI 7763:2018 and 4 parameters, namely water content, pH, grain size, and co material. Based on the assessment with the SNI standard, only the fourth sample met the SNI standard. Meanwhile, based on the results of statistical tests with the response surface method, it shows that the ratio of soil and egg shells effect the parameters of moisture content, pH, grain size, and co-mingled material.
