Abstract

Kata Kunci: Home Based Counselling and Testing, HIV/AIDS, Keluarga Introduction: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) attacks the immune system by destroying CD4 cells. Transmission within households remains a concern, particularly among housewives and family members who may be exposed through their partners and have limited awareness of HIV prevention. Home-Based HIV Counseling and Testing (HBHCT) is an intervention that supports early HIV detection by providing confidential counseling and testing in the home setting. Objective: This study aimed to examine the impact of HBHCT on preventing HIV/AIDS transmission within households. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using articles from PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus published within the last 15 years. The search used the keywords Home, Counseling and Testing, HIV/AIDS, and Families. Study quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal checklist for randomized controlled trials and cohort studies. Results: From 1,872 identified articles, nine studies met the inclusion criteria, consisting of eight randomized controlled trials and one prospective intervention study. Conclusion: HBHCT is effective in promoting early HIV detection, reducing HIV/AIDS-related stigma, and supporting prevention of HIV transmission within families.

Abstract

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a serious condition that requires quick treatment to prevent complications and death. The education program is one of the effective interventions in improving the understanding, compliance, and quality of life of ACS patients. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs in ACS patient management through a scoping review. Method: This study uses the scoping review method with the PRISMA-Scr protocol. Data was obtained from Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed, and EBSCO databases with relevant keywords and publication of articles in the last 5 years (2019–2024). Articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed using a descriptive approach. Quality assessment is carried out using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal tool. Results: Of the initial 34,668 articles, 12 articles with good and medium quality were selected. Effective educational programs include behavioral, media, distance, and group-based methods. These interventions have been shown to improve patient understanding, medication adherence, and quality of life as well as reduce anxiety and depression. The instruments used included PPE-15, HADS-A, HADS-D, SF-12, HeartQoL and GENEActiv accelerometer questionnaires. Conclusions: Educational programs based on a patient-centered care approach (PCC), technology, and physical exercise have proven to be effective in improving ACS patient management. Behavioural and media-based education, such as traffic light labels for nutrition understanding, is able to support lifestyle changes and patient rehabilitation. Intensive education also has a positive impact in reducing the risk of long-term complications.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nursing has an important role in improving the health and prevention of complications of post-surgical patients. One of the nursing interventions that can be provided is Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise (Kegel) which aims to strengthen the muscles that support the bladder and intestines, which are often affected after prostate surgery. To systematically explore the effect of strength training on reducing pain and improving physical function in postoperative prostate cancer patients. The method uses a search through 4 major databases namely PubMed, Scopus, Sciencedirect and ProQuest with a range of 5 years from 2020 to 2025. The literature search used keywords namely "strength training", "pain intensity", "physical function", "postoperative prostate cancer". The critical appraisal guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute were used for the appraisal review of the journal. Twelve articles were extracted regarding the effect of strength training on reducing pain and improving physical function in postoperative prostate cancer patients. Overall, the articles yielded several findings regarding differences in pain and physical functional ability with different types of strength training implemented using varying duration, frequency and intensity. Strength training has significant benefits in helping postoperative prostate cancer patients. It is effective in reducing pain, especially pelvic pain and pain related to urinary incontinence, as well as improving the physical function of patients Keywords: Pain Intensity, Physical Therapy, Prostate Cancer, Strength Training.
