Abstract

Threat to banking industries, other than Fintech in sector of payment such as the GoPay, threat is also come out of Fintech and Startup in sector of loan such as the UangTeman. Revolution in digital technology produced by the Fintech and the Startup changes people’s behavior to access financial services, from coming to bank office to be an access in using smart phone. Objectives and research methods use qualitative and quantitative approaches as follows: to identify existing core competencies of the Bank ABC using the VRIO (Valuable, Rare, Inimitable, Organized to Capture Value) and recommendation of future competencies using the industry foresight; to formulate and to look into strategic alternative using the Porter's Five Force, the Internal-External matrix, the SWOT matrix, and the QSPM; to recommend road maps to strategic implementation of the digital banking using the AHP. Research results recommend 3 future competencies that the Bank ABC needs to have in the digital banking development from development of 13 existing core competencies by implication in competitive advantage. The main strategic alternative for calculation result of the AHP is reengineering bank products that are able to be marketed by the Bank ABC or the Fintech and the Startup. Based on calculation of the AHP, the main future competency is the Two-Way Digitalization. Keywords: core competency, digital banking, digital technology, fintech, industry foresight

Abstract

The human resources who have motivation and competence are success determinants in achieving organizational goals, and those goals will be achieved if the employees demonstrate high performance at work. Several factors that affect performance are motivation and competence. The performance of Patent Examiners at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property DGIP – Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KEMENKUMHAM) tends to decline. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of motivation and competence on improving the performance of Patent Examiners in the Directorate of Patent, Layout Design of Integrated Circuit, and Trade Secret – DGIP. There were 92 Patent Examiners as respondents, and the method used in this study was sampling technique using proportional random sampling. The data analysis descriptive analysis of respondents, validity and reliability tests, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS). The variables are motivation, competence, and performance. The results of the study show that motivation and competence variables are factors that affect the performance improvement of Patent Examiners in the Directorate of Patent, Layout Design of Integrated Circuit, and Trade Secret – DGIP. The results of this study comprises : 1) motivation influences the performance of Patent Examiners, 2) competence influence on the performance of Patent Examiners, 3) motivation affects the competence of Patent Examiners, 4) competence influences the motivation of Patent Examiners, 5) motivation and competence together affect the performance of Patent Examiners, 6) the main priorities on improving the performance of Patent Examiners are training and quality development of the employees. Abstract

Covid-19 has caused several tourist objects to experience a decrease in visits, sales, and temporary closure due to the lockdown policy. Tirtania Waterpark is a water tourism object providing services for water recreation rides and family entertainment venues experiencing a decline in visits. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of the marketing mix which consists of 4C, namely co-creation, currency, communal activation, and conversation variables on visitor satisfaction and loyalty at Tirtania Waterpark. This research is a case study with a sample of 126 people who are visitors of Tirtania Waterpark. The sampling method in this study was purposive sampling using questionnaires distributed to Tirtania Waterpark visitors. This study used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method to perform data analysis. The results of the study show that all the marketing mix 4C variables used affect the satisfaction of visitors to Tirtania Waterpark, satisfaction variable has a significant effect on consumer loyalty which is reflected by the willingness of consumers to make repeat visits. Several recommendations to increase Tirtania Waterpark customer loyalty are conducting regular surveys of visitors, dynamic pricing, adding options in purchasing tickets, conducting promotions through other parties, and implementing good relationship management. Abstract

Increasingly high demands for digital acceleration and more digitally savvy societal behavior make digital transformation a strategy to improve company performance. This study aims to analyze the influence factors of strategic formulation, leadership, organizational culture, organizational structure change, resources, monitoring, communication, and technology on the implementation of digital transformation to further formulate strategies for strengthening the implementation of digital transformation that can be carried out by Bank XYZ. The study involved 85 respondents who were involved in the transformation team and five expert respondents. The results of the SEM-PLS analysis show that seven of the eight factors, namely strategy formulation, leadership, organizational culture, resources, monitoring, communication, and technology, have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of digital transformation, while the organizational structure change has no effect. The strategy for strengthening the implementation of digital transformation was analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the results showing that the leadership factor is a priority in strengthening the implementation of digital transformation. In line with this, the priority actor mapping analysis is the business directorate, and the goal of implementing digital transformation that is a priority is to increase productivity. Thus, the best alternative strategy that can be applied to strengthen the implementation of digital transformation is to sharpen KPIs on the outcome side so that the success and contribution of digital initiatives to the business as usual can be tracked. Abstract

Management of Waqf by individual collectors dominates Waqf management in Indonesia. However, since Waqf laws stated that The individual and an institution could manage Waqf, the opportunity to develop Waqf is more open for Waqf institutions. One of the established Waqf institutions is the Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution. This study aims to identify and analyze existing strategies and generate development strategies for Islamic Boarding School-based Waqf. The research method used was descriptive qualitative by using Business Model Canvas (BMC), Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT), and Analytical Network Process (ANP) approaches. The researchers conducted this study in Daarut Tauhiid Islamic Boarding School Bandung from November 2020 to March 2021. The respondents were practitioners, namely the director and staff of Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution, regulators from the Ministry of Religion, and academics from universities in Bogor and Jakarta. Data were collected from in-depth interviews and questionnaires from respondents. The most important development strategy to be implemented in the Daarut Tauhiid Waqf institution is the development of human resources competency. Therefore, competent human resources can establish a trusted, professional, and trustworthy team managing Waqf-based Islamic boarding schools.
