Abstract

The limitation of community movement in the new normal era has changed consumer behaviour to frozen food products, and digital marketing has been used to carry out a transaction. CV XYZ, a company that produces frozen food, must optimize the existing opportunities and utilize its strengths. The high level of social hygiene and the increasing demand for food integrity has become a challenge the company is facing today. Other than that, the company is now facing several obstacles on product development and channel limitation. Therefore, this research is aimed to identify the business model available, develop an alternative business strategy and create a new business model innovation. The data sources are from primary and secondary data; the primary data are observation, interview, FGD with the research experts, businessmen, and consumer survey. The secondary data used are literature studies such as journals, thesis, dissertation, economic data, and textbooks. Data processing techniques are carried out by analyzing business model canvas, SWOT, internal factor evaluation, and external factor evaluation , grand strategy, and 360° business model innovation. The result of SWOT analysis maps the company in quadrant one, which indicates the company is in high market growth and strong competitive position, so the company needs to improve its business model through BMI 360° analysis model. This model is used to help see the business activity process from creating value in the upstream until it can become the core competition downstream of a business process. Abstract

Research shows technology development is one key element of economic growth. The race in innovation technology leads the government to issue policies in order to enhance competitiveness based on innovation technology. This commitment is mostly followed by allocating some amount of budget in science and technology development. On the other side, it should be comprehended that innovation creates its own arteries which encourage the government to create an appropriate strategic choice which meets the expectation based on the unique competence of a nation. This article measures the strategic choice for policy maker in establishing an appropriate technology transfer system based on the opinion of actors that involve in technology transfer utilizing analytical hierarchy process (AHP) that analyzes the individual variables in three hierarchies. The variables were derived from the first discussion with experts as the higher level of decision maker. Additionally, research problems were based on the first process of discussion of AHP with experts enriched by literature study. The choices of strategy in this research include developing technology & business incubator at 0.50414, establishing science attaché at 0.24344, strengthening existing public research institution at 0.16648 and increasing gross expenditure on research and development at 0.08594.Keywords: AHP, policy maker, technology transfer, strategic choicesAbstrak: Riset menunjukan peran perkembangan teknologi sebagai salah satu elemen penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kompetisi dalam arena inovasi teknologi berpengaruh pada pemerintah untuk mengeluarkan kebijakan dalam penguatan daya saing bangsa berbasis inovasi teknologi. Komitmen ini seringkali diikuti dengan alokasi anggaran untuk kegiatan riset dan teknologi. Namun, penguatan ini harus diikuti dengan pemahaman bahwa inovasi menciptakan alur prosesnya sehingga pemerintah diharapkan mampu menciptakan pilihan strategi yang searah dengan tujuan yang berakar dari nilai lokal. Tulisan ini mengukur pilihan strategi yang dapat digunakan oleh pembuat kebijakan dalam menciptakan alih teknologi yang didasarkan pada visi pakar pada bidang alih teknologi dengan menggunakan pendekatan analytical hierarchy process (AHP) yang terbagi dalam tiga struktur hirarki. Variabel yang digunakan diturunkan dari interview pertama dengan pakar dan pengambil keputusan. Masalah riset pada kajian ini juga diturunkan dari interview dengan pakar yang diperkaya dengan penelaahan literatur. Pilihan strategi pada kajian ini adalah pengembangan inkubator dan taman sains dan teknologi 0,50414, pembukaan attaché iptek 0,24344, penguatan litbang 0,16648 dan peningkatan anggaran riset 0,08594. Abstract

PT. XYZ is part of the steel industry that focuses on the automotive sector which is very possible to increase business capacity. The decline in profit ratio in the last four years has triggered the development of a business model. The research aims to (1) identify the business model canvas of PT. XYZ, (2) analysis of the influence of internal and external factors for the company, and (3) create a business development strategy. The research was conducted using descriptive methods utilizing business model canvas, SWOT, and Blue Ocean Strategy analysis tools. Research analysis techniques based on primary and secondary data collected in February 2019 - June 2019 through the method of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique, which is the technique for determining respondents who are considered experts and understand the situation of PT. XYZ both internal and external. The business development strategy is carried out through the development of the company's current business model canvas with a combination of blue ocean strategy perspectives based on the direction of the company's business development, evaluation of business model elements, environmental analysis. According to the research results obtained two business model development strategies where the first strategy is the improvement of cost structure elements by reducing the purchase of imported raw materials and creating components of local suppliers in the key partner elements to reduce the cost of purchasing materials. The second strategy is to improve the elements of key activities by develop business operating sistems and develop customer segments, which targets companies that manufacture two-wheeled vehicle components. Abstract

The Era of globalization requires every country to always improve their technology in order to provide competitiveness products. One of the factors to increase the country’s competitiveness index is by adopting technology by industry through product licence. Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD) is one of the national R&D institutions that have a role to invent a product for society (non commercial) and industry (commercial through product licence). In the past five years (2015-2019), the total of license between IAARD and the industry slowly decreasing. This study aimed to find out industry’s perceived of IAARD’s technology and factors influenced the industrial decision to license IAARD technology. This research was involving 80 respondents from 57 industries as a license partner (2015-2019). Data analysis technique used was top two boxes for descriptive anaylisis and SEMPLS using SmartPLS version 3.0. The result showed that product innovation and perceived risk have a significant effect on industrial decision to license. Product quality and promotion have no significant effect on industrial decision to license.

Abstract

The nature of new business innovation activities is increasingly scattered, multidisciplinary, cross-border, cross-institutional, and cross-temporal. The culture influences the commitment to open innovation. The organizational culture is a vital factor in the success of radical innovation and integrating internal organizational structures, policies, and partnerships. The paradigm shift from closed to open innovation has been used in various business relationships.The research objectives are determining the primary factor of open innovation success in Indonesia based on digital enterprise experiences and the extent to which the government's participation becomes meaningful and results in adaptive corporate policy.The study will be qualitative and inductive, utilizing multiple case studies. Due to the epidemic period, in-depth interviews with senior management were conducted through video conferences and private messaging. The research will employ a literature review and an expert interview to ascertain how digital enterprise cooperation contributes to long-term growth. The result shows how the O.I. strategy implemented in digital firms influences government policy.The Indonesian government may enlist the assistance of international organizations or multinational corporations to facilitate organizational reforms necessary to create an open innovation-friendly culture. Goverment businesses require specialized staff to reap the benefits of present legislation.

Abstract

The human resources who have motivation and competence are success determinants in achieving organizational goals, and those goals will be achieved if the employees demonstrate high performance at work. Several factors that affect performance are motivation and competence. The performance of Patent Examiners at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property DGIP – Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KEMENKUMHAM) tends to decline. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of motivation and competence on improving the performance of Patent Examiners in the Directorate of Patent, Layout Design of Integrated Circuit, and Trade Secret – DGIP. There were 92 Patent Examiners as respondents, and the method used in this study was sampling technique using proportional random sampling. The data analysis descriptive analysis of respondents, validity and reliability tests, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS). The variables are motivation, competence, and performance. The results of the study show that motivation and competence variables are factors that affect the performance improvement of Patent Examiners in the Directorate of Patent, Layout Design of Integrated Circuit, and Trade Secret – DGIP. The results of this study comprises : 1) motivation influences the performance of Patent Examiners, 2) competence influence on the performance of Patent Examiners, 3) motivation affects the competence of Patent Examiners, 4) competence influences the motivation of Patent Examiners, 5) motivation and competence together affect the performance of Patent Examiners, 6) the main priorities on improving the performance of Patent Examiners are training and quality development of the employees. Abstract

Measuring performance in social entrepreneurship is an important thing that needs to be done. This is an effort to ensure prosperity and maintain the sustainability of social entrepreneurship. This research aims to analyze the performance of social entrepreneurship and build a conceptual model of the strategy for assessing the performance of social entrepreneurship in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The SSM research method was used to develop a conceptual model to measure the performance of social entrepreneurship. The results of the study concluded that measuring the performance of social entrepreneurship can be measured using measurement tools or indicators that focus on sustainable development goals (SDGs). This study also found the need for the role of the government or policy owners as actors who have an essential role in developing social entrepreneurship performance measurement tools. This is necessary to distinguish the target of achieving success through social and commercial entrepreneurship.
