Abstract

The kinship relationship in the life of indigenous peoples in Tulehu country is manifested in three customary activities, namely marriage custom, adoption and division of inheritance and corpse. The marriage customs of the Tulehu peoples are acculturation with the teachings of Islam. In the marriage custom there are brothers who are similar to the hakam in Islamic teachings. According to Tulehu country customs of adopted children are entitled to the inheritance of their adoptive parents if adopted by foster parents of the family's own party. But the adopted child does not get an inheritance if adopted by foster parents from the family's own family or who has no family relationship at all. The people of Tulehu also have the custom of gotong royong (gathering of grief money) to help the family of the dead.

Abstract

Marriage aims to build a harmonious household. However, marital conflict, between husband and wife often happens in society. Villagers Tulehu have one custom relating to the marriage of local indigenous communities, commonly called sister mating. Sister mating is a man who was appointed by custom from the family of the bride, and more preferably from distant relatives nasabnya, so it can strengthen ties with family. Appointment sister mating take place prior to the marriage. Sister mating duties and function to benefit sister mating. In addition to providing material assistance, wedding brother to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict housekeeping sister mating. Abstract

This paper examines issues of domestic violence in the perception of Islamic religious leaders on the island of Ambon. The problems in this paper are how the forms, perpetrators, and victims of domestic violence, which are dominant in society. Data were collected through interviews, and analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The result of the research shows that according to the perception of Islamic religious figure on the island of Ambon, the dominant form of domestic violence in society is physical violence which is often done by husband, or psychic violence done by wife to husband. Domestic violence perpetrators dominated by husbands or parents. While the vulnerable to become victims of domestic violence is the wife and children. It is relevant to the theory of power relations, nature theory, nurture theory and patriarchal ideology that is still dominant in society.
