Abstract

Kertosari Village, Pakusari District, Jember Regency is one of the regions with relatively high rice productivity. One of the farmer groups in the village is Poktan Karya Tani who manages rice fields while also running a side business in the form of the brick industry. Community service activities aim to:increase the capacity of farmers to utilize local waste, a useful product in the form of a biofertilizer combined with biochar such as husk and bacillus sp. Community service consists of a series activities including outreach, training in making biochar, and application biochar. Socialization activities can increase farmers' knowledge regarding the importance of using biological fertilizers in combination with husk ash biochar. Based on the results of the comparison of pretest scores and posttest, there was an increase in farmers' understanding with an average of around 60% - 90%. increased to 100% after socialization was carried out. Potassium levels increased after applying a biological fertilizer combination of husk ash biochar and bacillus sp. Soil potassium levels reached 3.13 me/100g and continued to increase higher after 4 weeks, reaching 6.10 me/100g in the very high category. Fe levels in the soil also decreased from 1.3 ppm to 0.5 ppm.

Abstract

The Tiworo Watershed on Muna Island, Southeast Sulawesi, is experiencing significant ecological and anthropogenic pressures that threaten the sustainability of its ecosystem functions. Land cover changes have led to increased surface runoff and have impacted coastal ecosystems. This study aims to evaluate the carrying capacity of the Tiworo watershed by analyzing three key parameters: percentage of critical land  (PCL), percentage of vegetation cover  (PVC), and erosion index (EI), referring to the Minister of Forestry Regulation No. P.61/Menhut-II/2014. The research methods included spatial analysis based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), collection of secondary data from satellite imagery and relevant agencies, and weighted calculations to determine land carrying capacity scores. The results revealed that 65.4% of the Tiworo watershed area is classified as potentially critical, with 8.14% falling into the critical to very critical category, mainly due to land use change and anthropogenic activities. Although vegetation cover is still relatively good (89.57%), the expansion of settlements and open land has the potential to disrupt ecological stability. The erosion index reached 13.65, far exceeding the tolerance threshold (ETOL 27.55 tons/ha/year), with 52.04% of the area experiencing very severe erosion (>480 tons/ha/year). The land carrying capacity score of 87.5 (good category) indicates that ecological capacity is still adequate, but high degradation pressure requires immediate intervention.

Abstract

Microlearning is a learning method that utilizes video media to enhance students' interest in learning. This study aims to develop microlearning-based educational media focused on the topic of living ecosystem for high school (SMA) or Madrasah Aliyah (MA) levels. The research method employed is a R&D, using the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination), limited to the Development stage. Validity testing is conducted by expert validators, while practicality testing is carried out with users. The results indicate that the developed microlearning achieved a validity score of 91.4% and a practicality score of 86.7%. The conclusion of this study is that the microlearning media developed for the topic of living ecosystems at the E phase for SMA/MA levels is categorized as highly valid and highly practical. Abstrak. Microlearning merupakan suatu metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan media video untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbentuk microlearning yang berfokus pada materi ekosistem makhluk hidup untuk tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) atau Madrasah Aliyah (MA). Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah jenis penelitian pengembangan, menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination), yang dibatasi hingga tahap Development. Uji validitas dilakukan oleh para ahli validator, sedangkan uji praktikalitas dilaksanakan pada pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan microlearning memperoleh nilai validitas sebesar 91,4% dan nilai praktikalitas sebesar 86,7%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa media microlearning yang dikembangkan untuk materi ekosistem makhluk hidup pada fase E di tingkat SMA/MA tergolong sangat valid dan sangat praktis.
