Abstract

Fibonacci numbers, Lucas numbers and Mulatu numbers are built in the same method. The three numbers differ in the first term, while the second term is entirely the same. The next terms are the sum of two successive terms. In this article, generalizations of Fibonacci, Lucas and Mulatu (GFLM) numbers are built which are generalizations of the three types of numbers. The Binet formula is then built for the GFLM numbers, and determines the golden ratio, silver ratio and Bronze ratio of the GFLM numbers. This article also presents generalizations of these three types of ratios, called Metallic ratios. In the last part we state the Metallic ratio in the form of continued fraction and nested radicals.

Abstract

Survival analysis is a statistical method used to evaluate the time an event occurs, particularly in censored data. In this study, the Nelson-Aalen method was applied to analyze the survival probability of patients with kidney failure based on medical data from Hasanuddin University Hospital. This method was used to calculate the cumulative hazard and survival function of patients. The analysis results showed that the longer a patient was treated, the greater the chance of recovery. The Nelson-Aalen method was considered more efficient in handling small samples compared to other non-parametric methods. This study provides important insights for healthcare practitioners in planning patient care and improving their quality of life.

Abstract

The coronavirus first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December 2019. This virus is also known as Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Based on the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and the high number of deaths, further research is deemed necessary. In this case, an effective treatment is needed to accelerate patient recovery. Two commonly used drugs are Remdesivir and Favipiravir. This study used the Kaplan-Meier method to evaluate the recovery time of COVID-19 patients based on two types of treatment: Remdesivir and Favipiravir. Survival analysis was conducted to compare the effectiveness of the two treatments in prolonging patient recovery time. The results showed a difference in effectiveness between the two types of treatment in terms of survival probability.
