Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan realitas budaya madrasah, mendeskripsikan realitas motivasi kerja guru, dan menguji korelasi antara budaya madrasah dengan motivasi kerja guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan metode ex post facto. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah semua guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat yang berjumlah 64 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kemudian hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa realitas budaya madrasah berada pada kategori kondusif dengan persentase 83% dari kriteria yang ditetapkan; realitas motivasi kerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 79% dari kriteria yang ditetapkan; dan korelasi antara budaya madrasah dengan motivasi kerja guru di MTs se-Kecamatan Sinjai Barat menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,559 dan berada pada tingkat hubungan yang sedang.Abstract:The research aimed to describe the Islamic schools’ (madrasah) culture reality, to describe the teachers’ work motivation reality, and to examine the correlation between the Islamic schools’ culture and the teachers’ work motivation at MTs (Islamic Junior High School) in West Sinjai District. This research was a correlational study by using the ex-post facto method. The Participants of this research were 64 teachers from all MTs in West Sinjai District. The instrument used was questionnaire then the data were analyzed by using product moment correlation analysis. This research revealed some significant findings that the reality of the Islamic schools’ culture could be considered as conducive with the percentage of 83%, the reality of the teachers’ work motivation was reported to be high with percentage of 79%, and the findings indicated a positive correlation between the Islamic schools’ culture and the teachers’ work motivation at MTs in West Sinjai District signified by correlational coefficient value of 0.559, which was categorized as moderate level of correlation.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: First, describe the application of strategic management, the competence of principals, and describe the application of educational management standards; the second examines the influence of strategic management and school principals' competencies on achieving educational management standards in Makassar 19 Public High School. This type of research is survey research. The total population is 579, and 121 samples are taken. Data collection uses questionnaire and documentation techniques. The data analysis uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study indicate that, strategic management and competency of school principals jointly have a positive and significant effect on the achievement of education management standards in SMA 19 Makassar with a regression equation Y = 50,450 + 0.467X1 + 0.216X2 and the coefficient of determination of 0.209 so that the achievement of educational management standards 20.9% is determined by strategic management together with the competency of principals and 79.1% is determined by other factors not included in this research area.
