Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari pendidikan nasional adalah mengembangkan potensi peserta didik untuk mencapai masyarakat unggul secara watak dan ilmu. Untuk mengembangkan potensi dalam bidang olahraga pendidikan perlu memperhatikan kemampuan, minat dan bakat peserta didik secara menyeluruh baik melalui kegiatan intrakurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler. Guru pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan seharusnya mengenalkan permainan-permainan yang menyenangkan dan terdapat nilai karakter di dalamnya. Permainan Tee Ball terdapat banyak nilai karakter seperti kerjasama, tanggung jawab dan disiplin serta juga terdapat komponen fisik seperti melempar, menangkap, lari dan memukul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat siswa terhadap permainan Tee Ball. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Se-Gugus Wonosobo Kecamatan Srono Kabupaten Banyuwangi dengan jumlah populasi 173 siswa. Metode dalam analisa ini menggunakan metode stastitik kuantitatif. Sedangkan proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket minat siswa dengan uji validitas 0,246-0,672 dan uji reabilitas 0,876. Hasil analisa statistik didapatkan nilai prosentase minat siswa terhadap permainan Tee Ball sebagai berikut: SDN 1 Wonosobo 45,65% kategori sangat tinggi dan 54,35% kategori tinggi, SDN 2 Wonosobo 68,97% kategori sangat tinggi dan 31,03% kategori tinggi, SDN 3 Wonosobo 44,44% kategori sangat tinggi, 48,15% kategori tinggi dan 7,41% kategori sedang, SDN 4 Wonosobo 60% kategori sangat tinggi dan 40% kategori tinggi, SDN 5 Wonosobo 94,44% kategori sangat tinggi dan 5,56 kategori tinggi, SDN 6 Wonosobo 40% kategori sangat tinggi dan 60% kategori tinggi, SDN 8 Wonosobo 66,67% kategori sangat tinggi dan 33,33% kategori tinggi, SDN 9 Wonosobo 81,25% kategori sangat tinggi dan 18,75% kategori tinggi. Jadi, minat siswa kelas V SD Se-Gugus Wonosobo Kecamatan Srono Kabupaten Banyuwangi termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Kata Kunci: Minat Siswa, Permainan Tee Ball Abstract The purpose of national study is developing of student potency for make excellent society with character and knowledge. In order to developing the student potency on sport education areas need to pay attention in their skills, interests, and talents comprehension through direct teaching or extracurricular. Physical Education teacher have to introduce several kind of fun sport games which are have character values. In Tee Ball game contains fairy characters values such as cooperative, responsible and discipline that includes physical such as throwing, catching, running, and hitting. This study intention is to know about student interest toward Tee Ball games. The object of this study are 5th grade elementary school students around Wonosobo cluster Srono sub district, Banyuwangi regency in which population counted around 173 students. This analysis is using statistic quantitative methodology. Furthermore, taking sample process data is done by adopted from student interest questionnaire instrument with validity tested 0,246-0,672 and reliability tested 0,876. Based on the analysis, the result of student interest toward Tee Ball games are following: Wonosobo 1 elementary school with highest category around 45,65% and high category around 54,35%, Wonosobo 2 elementary school with highest category around 68,97% and high category around 31,03%, Wonosobo 3 elementary school with highest category around 44,44%, high category around 48,15% and medium category around 7,41%, Wonosobo 4 elementary school with highest category around 60% and high category around 40%, Wonosobo 5 elementary school with highest category around 94,44% and high category around 5,56%, Wonosobo 6 elementary school with highest category around 40% and high category around 60%, Wonosobo 8 elementary school with highest category around 66,67% and high category around 33,33%, Wonosobo 9 elementary school with highest category around 81,25% and high category around 18,75%. In conclusion, 5th grade elementary school student interest around Wonosobo Cluster Srono sub district Banyuwangi Regency toward Tee Ball games belong to in highest category. Abstract

The paper deals with the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension. Data were collected from 34 second grade students. The test items of reading comprehension and vocabulary mastery were given to the students to measure their level of reading comprehension and vocabulary mastery. The results were compared to find out the correlation between those variables. The findings showed that there was a strong correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension. The current study concluded that vocabulary mastery was contributive in helping the students to comprehend the texts. Keywords:Correlation, reading comprehension, vocabulary mastery
