Abstract

Teks-teks Itihasa saat ini sedang digandrungi masyarakat, khususnya umat Hindu di Bali. Teks tersebut mengisyaratkan ajaran-ajaran luhur Hindu yang sangan relevan dengan situasi moral zaman saat ini. Ajaran Itihasa ini dikenal tersirat dalam dua epos yakni Ramayana dan Mahabrata. Epos Mahabrata ini dipecah menjadi delapan belas parwa yang sangat dikenal dengan Asta Dasa Parwa. Dalam teks parwa ini sangat banyak tersirat pesan dan isyarat moral Hindu ketika menjalani hidup di dunia. Salah satunya tentu Santi Parwa. Dalam Santi Parwa termuat sebuah perdebatan sengit antara putra Pandu perihal ajaran etika kehidupan Hindu yang dikenal dengan Asrama Dharma. Di situ juga dijelaskan bahwa Hindu juga memberi legitimasi moral bagi umatnya untuk mencari harta dalam kehidupan di dunia berdasarkan pada prinsipprinsip Dharma.

Abstract

The procession was held in front of the Sanggar Tawang as a symbolic cleansing of the entire Payadnyan area by means of Pendeman which was tied with Tri Datu yarn, Bila wood twings, Tri Datu yarn, flour and Panca Datu, and Medori gold jewel rings. The issues to be discussed include; (1) The Abhumi Sudha ceremony procession in the Maligia Lajur ceremony series? (2) The function of the Abhumi Sudha ceremony in the maligia lajur ceremony series? (3) The values of Hindu religious education contained in the Abhumi Sudha ceremony in the Maligia Lajur ceremony series?. This study aims to determine; (1) The Abhumi Sudha ceremony procession in the Maligia Lajur ceremony series. (2) The function of the Abhumi Sudha ceremony series. (3) The values of Hindu religious education in the Abhumi Sudha ceremony in the Maligia Lajur ceremony. Are religious theories, functional structural theories, and value theory. Data collection methods applied are metthods of observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The data that has been collected is analysis method with steps of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed (1) The procession of the Abhumi Sudha ceremony began with preparing several types of offerings or offerings which would be used for the ceremony of the Abhumi Sudha such as Pendeman Panca Datu, flour, Bila wood twigs, Tri Datu thread, and gold Medori jewel rings. In the peak of this procession begins with bathing the oxen, and given clothes and jewelry like humans. It was given and cleansing ceremony so that the ox improved its purity to become Dang Hyang Nandini. After that the Abhumi Sudha ceremony was carried out by walking form the southwest to the northeast which was called Akasa Sudha then from northwest to southeast which was called Pertiwi Sudha. The composition of flour, the yarn that is stretched and the giving of gold reproduction of Medori gems as a symbol of the cleansing ceremony has been completed. (2) The Abhumi Sudha ceremony has several functions such as spiritual function, social function, and preservation function. (3) value of hindu religious education in Abhumi Sudha ceremony; Sradha value, Tri Kaya Parisudha value, Tri Rna value, devational teacher and aesthetic value.

Abstract

The people of Bali view cultural art as an offering, as well as life balance guards, so that the art and culture development is carried out from within the family to the wider community. The art of one of the elements of universal culture includes several fields of art. One of the art that is still preserved in Bali in particular is the Lontar Prasi in the village of Tenganan Pegringsing. The Prasi-Lontar is an illustration of the puppet and gods on the Lontar leaves, one of the fine arts that includes the cultural heritage of ancestors who have high aesthetic value. The problems that will be discussed include: 1. How is the process of making Prasi Lontar in Tenganan Pegringsing village, Karangasem?. 2) How is the function of the Prasi Lontar in the life of people in Tenganan Pegringsingan village, Karangasem?. 3) The value of religion of Hinduism What is contained in the Prasi Lontar in Tenganan Pegringsingan village, Karangasem?. The theory used to analyse the problem is learning theory, used to discuss the process of making Prasi Lontar in the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan, Karangasem. Structural functional theory, which is used to discuss the function of the Prasi Lontar in the life of people in Tenganan Pegringsingan village, Karangasem. Value theory, used to discuss the value of religious education what is contained in the Prasi Lontar in the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan, Karangasem. The data collection methods used in this study are non- participant observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The collected data is analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis method with reduced steps, data presentation, conclusion withdrawal and data analysis presentation. The results of the study showed (1) the process of the establishment of the Prasi Lontar in the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan Karangasem, making Prasi Lontar has three stages, the initial stage prepared is the leaf rontal and its equipment. The creation stage is the creation of the Prasi Lontar in the form of puppet pictures and gods. The final stage is to give black using candlenut fruit. (2) The function of the Prasi Lontar in the lives of people in the village Tenganan Pegringsingan Karangasem, consists of socio-cultural function, economic function, and preservation function. (3) The value of religious education is contained in the Prasi Lontar in the village Tenganan Pegringsigan, Karangasem which is the value of Tattwa education, Susila educational value, and aesthetic education value.
