Abstract

Pemulihan dari ketergantungan narkoba merupakan hal yang sulit namun bukanlah mustahil. Seorang dapat dikatakan pulih ketika ia dapat melakukan reintegrasi kehidupannya ke dalam lingkungan sehari-hari. Dengan kata lain orang tersebut harus mampu mengatasi krisis hidup sehari-hari,  mengelola rutinitas hidup, dan menjaga diri dari relapse. Untuk lebih memahami masalah pemulihan dari ketergantungan narkoba, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang meneliti 3 subyek, untuk mengamati seberapa jauh peran kompetensi diri dalam kelangsungan proses pemulihan ketergantungan narkoba. Secara umum hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa subyek penelitian dengan tingkat pemulihan yang lebih tinggi, lebih kompeten dibandingkan subyek dengan tingkat pemulihan yang lebih rendah. Pada subyek yang berada di tingkat pemulihan yang lebih rendah terjadi kemandegan dalam tahapan pemulihannya.  Kata kunci – pemulihan, kompetensi diri, ketergantungan narkoba

Abstract

This study aims to describe about housemaid’s stressor and how they cope with those stressors in life. The variables in this research are work’s stress and coping style. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire which made by researcher. Reliability test with Alpha Cronbach indicates reliable value of 0,884 for work’s stress scale and 0,873 for coping style scale. The data collected from 162 respondents and the analysis data used in this research was descriptive statistics. The result showed that 33.33 percent of the subjects had a high work stress tendency, and the coping style is most often used is emotional-focused coping (51.85 percent). Keywords: stress, coping, housemaid

Abstract

Abstract. This research is aimed to explain factors that build resilience towards two cancer volunteers who have lost their children and to describe the process that the cancer volunteers went through to be resilient. Resilience factors are derived from a theory that was developed by Reivich and Shatte (2002). It consisted of emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and reaching out. The process to be resilient was measured by analyzing the subjects’ life events. The result showed that participants were resilient. The process described a systematical journey about the subjects’ life events, especially childhood achievements and losing or inconvenience experiences that were contributing to the resilience that the participants already had till now.Keywords: cancer, loss, volunteer resilience

Abstract

Early adulthood was indicated by exploring self-identity, including re-questioning the religion belief that was taught by nuclear family since childhood. Most of young adult perceived themselves or by older people as less religious, but spiritual. This study aims to understand the meaning of religiosity/spirituality from a) perspective of their own religion; b) perspective of other religion; and c) their religious experience. Photovoice was applied in this study with various background of participant’s religion including Moslem, Christian, Catholic, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Kong Hu Cu, which selected by snowball sampling. The result showed worship place and activities were mostly chosen as representation of the meaning of religiosity/spirituality from their own religion perspective as well as other religion. Whereas, moment in worship activity and personal experience where they can get through of difficult or unfortunate situation were representation of their religious/spiritual experience. From this study, we can conclude that the institutionalized religion is still play important role in young adult’s spiritual/religious life.

Abstract

Now a days employer tends to look for employee who has competence not only in  academic area but also in soft skills area. Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA) has been developing soft skills program since 2009. UKRIDA has done lots of activities regards to self development. The approach which is used for developing students competence in UKRIDA is The Base Competence. This research tried to measure students competence. Acknowledging students competence can be a foundation to the students competencies development. This research is using quantitative method. There are 399 students who participate in this research. All participants are first year under graduate students. This research use Making The March questionnaire with 63 item. From the four competencies in base competencies: mobilizing innovation and change, and managing people and task considered o be average to high. UKRIDA first year students competencies is a reflection of academic and social background. The Bases of Competence give a framework for developing students soft skills. Students can prepare them selves early for a career development in order to be ready for work place challenges and a better future.

Abstract

The prevalence of individuals seeking mental health support and undergoing treatment in Indonesia remains notably low. Religious contexts significantly influence an individual’s understanding of mental health literacy, perceptions of mental well-being, and help-seeking behaviors. This study investigates the perceptions of mental health help-seeking, depression, and treatment among Christian individuals in Indonesia. The research participants consisted of 34 Christian individuals aged 18–25 years, representing the emerging adulthood stage. Data were collected using the story completion method and analyzed through reflexive thematic analysis. Member checking was employed as a credibility measure. The study identified nine main themes and seven sub-themes that encapsulate perceptions related to help-seeking, depression, and treatment. Furthermore, two themes emerged within one of the main themes concerning help-seeking perceptions. Keywords: Christianity; Depression; Mental health; Perception; Story completion

Abstract

There is not much effort has been made to teach the integration between psychology and Christianity in higher education in Indonesia. One of the efforts to teach the integration between psychology and Christianity in the bachelor program of psychology Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana is to conduct a class namely Psychology and Christianity (PC). In this article, the author describes the practice of teaching the integration of PC conceptually, practically, and personally for the bachelor students of psychology of Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana. The strategy to teach the integration of PC is, teaching the theoretical perspective of the integration of PC, summarizing an empirical study of PC, and creating discussion forum. The strategy to teach the integration of PC practically is, describing the integration of PC in the diverse contexts of life, discussing the specific topics of PC, and reporting on the implementation of PC in school and church settings. The strategy of teaching the integration of PC personally is, by writing an essay and self-reflection. The author used a survey method to evaluate the PC class. Three questions that are used in the survey are, students’ goals in participating in the PC class, their level of confidence in achieving their goal and also their goal attainment, and their perceptions about the integration of PC. The evaluation showed that most students perceived that they had attained the goals they set in participating in the PC class. They also observed that PC class is considered  the main form of integration of PC. Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia  Mengajarkan integrasi antara psikologi dan kekristenan di pendidikan tinggi Kristen di Indonesia belum banyak dilakukan. Salah satu upaya mengajarkan integrasi antara psikologi dan kekristenan dilakukan oleh program studi sarjana strata satu (S1) psikologi Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana, Jakarta adalah dengan mengadakan kelas yang bernama Psikologi dan Kristianitas (PK). Dalam artikel ini, penulis memaparkan mengenai praktik mengajarkan integrasi dari psikologi dan kekristenan secara konseptual, praktikal, dan personal bagi mahasiswa program studi sarjana psikologi. Strategi mengajarkan integrasi secara konseptual diantaranya adalah, membahas perspektif teoretis psikologi dan kekristenan, merangkum hasil penelitian empiris mengenai psikologi dan kekristenan, dan mengadakan forum diskusi. Strategi mengajarkan integrasi secara praktikal adalah dengan cara, membahas topik-topik integrasi psikologi dan kekristenan dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan, membahas topik-topik khusus integrasi psikologi dan kekristenan, dan laporan mengenai implementasi psikologi dan kekristenan di sekolah dan gereja. Strategi mengajarkan integrasi secara personal adalah dengan aktifitas menulis yakni menulis esai dan menulis refleksi.  Penulis menggunakan metode survei untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap mata kuliah PK. Tiga pertanyaan utama yang diajukan adalah mengenai, tujuan mahasiswa mengikuti kuliah PK, keyakinan diri dan ketercapaian mencapai tujuan tersebut, dan persepsi mereka terhadap integrasi. Evaluasi menunjukkan mahasiswa menilai bahwa diri mereka telah mencapai dengan baik tujuan yang mereka tetapkan dalam mengikuti mata kuliah PK. Mahasiswa juga menilai bahwa mata kuliah (MK) PK merupakan bentuk utama dari integrasi antara psikologi dan kekristenan yang mereka amati di kampus.
