Abstract

The aim of this study was to study the frequency distribution of the size and number of gillnet catches at different fishing locations. The data needed are primary and secondary data. Materials and tools used are long rulers, cameras, and crabs. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution analysis of the size of the crab catches. The structure of the frequency distribution of size (cm) of crab production with a gillnet to different fishing locations in the waters of Balang Lompo Island, Pangkep Regency, shows that there are differences, generally the smallest size is 0-2 miles, and distances are >2-4 miles and distances >4- 6 miles, crab production is getting bigger. Significant differences in terms of differences in the size of the crab production, are smaller near the coast and more numerous than offshore. The further distance from the beach for crab production, the size distribution of crab production is large and there are many in the waters closer to Balang Lompo Island, Pangkep Regency.

Abstract

The Spermonde Island consists of 120 is one of the island's territory the spread of coral reefs is quite extensive, which is located in the territorial waters of Makassar Strait is a wealth of biological resources that are potential good flora as well as fauna among them are Spiny Lobster (Panulirus spp). The purpose of this research is to know the kinds of Spiny Lobster, length-weight relationship and the sex ratio in the spermonde Island. To achieve these goals then performed the measurement of biological parameters, namely the measurement of length, weight, and sex ratio determination. The method to be used is the measurement of the length of the carapace with uses measurent board, heavy with weights, and to sex by looking at the characteristics on the abdomen. Observations made on the island was the location of a 6 catching Spiny Lobster by dividing three (3) Zones based on the distance from the coast and the population. Was found that there were three types of Spiny Lobster namely spiny lobster pearls (P. Ornatus) as 334 individual lobster or 39,06 %, Spiny Lobster bamboo (P. versicolor) as many as 312 individual lobster or 36,49 %, and Spiny Lobster batik (P. Longipes) as 209 individual lobster or 24,44 % .The sex ratio of spiny lobster of spiny lobster batik (P. longipes) is 0,51:0,49, or (1:1) , Spiny Lobster pearls (P.ornatus) is 0,51: 0,49 or (1:1) and Spiny Lobster bamboo (P. Versicolor) is 0,63: 0,37 or (2:1). Pattern growth Spiny Lobster bamboo is allometrik negative, and the pattern growth Spiny Lobster pearls and Spiny Lobster batik is allometrik major .

Abstract

This study aims to conduct spatial and temporal analysis of boat chart fisheries in Barru Regency by (1) mapping potential fishing areas, (2) analyzing the status of fish resource utilization in the Boat chart in Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru Regency. This research was conducted in February-March 2019 in the waters of Barru Regency which is a fishing base boat chart in Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru Regency. The data used are catch data and fishing location data as well as oceanographic data (sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentration) in February and March 2019 collected from the download of Satellite Images, Provincial Fisheries Service statistics from 2007-2017 to Barru Regency area. Analysis of the determination of potential fishing areas with boat charts using geographic information systems (GIS), analyzing the status of utilization of fisheries resources is used analysis of maximum sustainable potential (MSY) and optimum fishing (fopt) by analyzing the effort of catch per unit effort (CPUE). The results showed that Sea surface temperature (SST) in February and March of small pelagic fish in the waters of Barru Regency favored warm waters with a range of SST 28.61 oC - 29.7 oC waters and productivity of Chlorophyll-a range of 0.44-0.0 94 mg / m3. The highest catch in March is in the waters of the western part of Barru Regency, which is 1391 - 2060 Kg. Utilization rate (Tp) Anchovy in the new regency in the last 10 years, namely in 2008 - 2017 has not yet passed JTB so that its utilization still needs to be improved.
