Abstract

Abstract: This article reports a study on the implementation of contextual teaching and learning approach to teaching English writing to second graders of a Junior High Shool in Bandung. The study aims to investigate the strategies of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) (as adapted from Crawford, 2001) and the advantages of using CTL approach. The study employed a qualitative case study research design. The data were obtained from several instruments, namely class observations, students’ interview and students’ writing products which were then analyzed using writing assessment criteria taken from Rose (2007, as cited by Emilia, 2011, p. 151). The findings revealed that the teaching writing program was successful to improve students’ recount writing skill. Specifically, they showed some improvement on schematic structure, grammar roles, and graphic features. Moreover, the data from observation, interview, and documentation of students’ text showed some benefits of CTL. These include: (1) engaging students in the writing activity; (2) increasing students’ motivation to participate actively in the writing class; (3) helping students to construct their writing; (4) helping students to solve their problems; (5) providing ways for students to discuss or interact with their friends; and (6) helping the students to summarize and reflect the lesson. Based on these findings, it is recommended that CTL be implemented in teaching writing.   Keywords: contextual teaching and learning, teaching writing

Abstract

In everyday life, often occurring amid society is the issue of disputes or disputes regarding accounts payable either between individuals and individuals or between individuals and legal entities, which cannot be resolved between them, and the way to resolve it is through filing a lawsuit in the District Court which is an independent agency authorized to hear and decide disputes over accounts payable or default. The purpose of this research is to find out the legal regulations related to accounts payable in a simple lawsuit.  The research methodology applied is normative or doctrinal research which only uses secondary data sources such as laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theories, and opinions of legal experts which are then analyzed using qualitative normative analysis which ultimately results in two things, namely:

Abstract

Selama ini, proses penentuan biaya panjar perkara perceraian di Pengadilan Agama Tasikmalaya masih dijalankan secara manual, sehingga sering kali menimbulkan ketidakakuratan dalam memperkirakan biaya transportasi berdasarkan jarak tempat tinggal para pihak yang berperkara. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada keterlambatan prosedur administrasi serta rendahnya tingkat transparansi informasi bagi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah sistem berbasis web yang mampu melakukan perhitungan biaya panjar perceraian secara otomatis dengan mempertimbangkan radius wilayah tempat tinggal masing-masing pihak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Waterfall, yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, serta pengujian aplikasi. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan PHP sebagai bahasa pemrograman, MySQL sebagai sistem basis data, serta mengintegrasikan Google Maps API untuk memperoleh perhitungan jarak radius secara lebih presisi. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dirancang mampu melakukan perhitungan biaya panjar dengan cepat, akurat, dan sesuai dengan ketentuan radius wilayah yang telah ditetapkan oleh Pengadilan Agama Tasikmalaya. Selain meningkatkan efisiensi proses pelayanan, sistem ini juga memberikan transparansi biaya yang lebih terbuka kepada masyarakat. Dengan demikian, aplikasi berbasis web ini terbukti efektif sebagai solusi digital yang mampu mempercepat serta mempermudah proses perhitungan biaya panjar perceraian secara objektif, adil, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.
