Abstract

Abstract: outdoor advertising in Medan City nowadays gets dynamic and attractive design. It indicates that the design established with so unique, uncommon, and different with others that it makes the outdoor advertising becomes creative one. Consequently, this creative value produces opportunities and challenges in a better way, furthermore the appearance of the design requires more creative and innovative.

Abstract

There are many people, especially Muslim people who carry out da'wah activities using the Instagram application. This is evidenced by the emergence of many da'wah accounts in the Instagram application that contain video content and writings for preaching. These contents contain discussion of monotheism, fiqh, Islamic politics, and others. Researchers used quantitative research techniques pre experimental design (Non Design). The population in this study are all @Felixsiauw Account Followers. research sample of 100 respondents. The method used to collect information in this research is using a questionnaire or questionnaire and documentation. In accordance with the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an impact from the pattern of watching Ustad Felix Siauw's lectures through Instagram on tolerance for differences in Muslim opinion (Stussi on Account Followers @Felixsiauw. This can be seen in the hypothesis test with the t-test, this finding is proven through the magnitude of the beta coefficient is 0.729 and the significant coefficient is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05.

Abstract

This journal discusses Sexist Humor in Students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Class of 2019-2020 According to an Islamic Communication Perspective, the purpose of this research is to find out the forms of sexist humor that exist in the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication of UINSU Class of 2019- 2020 and to find out the perspective of Islamic communication on sexist humor. This type of research method is a field with qualitative data analysis using descriptive research methods aiming to obtain an in-depth description of the data. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study, the informants were students from the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication from the study program Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, Da'wah Management, Islamic Counseling Guidance, and Islamic Community Development. The results of this study provide answers to the problems that have been formulated, as follows: the forms of sexist humor that are accepted are body shaming in the form of joking alluding to physical problems such as body shape that looks fat and thin, tall and short, regarding skin color, and regarding appearance face. Meanwhile, apart from body shaming, bullying also comes from the accepted form of sexist humor, in the form of bullying men who have body gestures like women's, this is done when hanging out with friends. When receiving this action, many of the recipients decided to be silent and did not respond more for fear of spoiling the atmosphere and ignoring the action because they did not want to fight. However, the rate of occurrence of sexist humor at the 2019-2020 UINSU Faculty of Da'wah and Communication is still low because many people realize that this action is a bad act. In the perspective of Islamic communication towards sexist humor, of course this action is very inconsistent with Islamic communication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the Muslimah Routine Study Community in carrying out da'wah activities at the Ar-Raudhah Bagan Batu Mosque, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Muslimah Routine Study community communication planning. This research uses a descriptive method approach. This study uses data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study amounted to six people. Data analysis was carried out by referring to Miles Haberman's opinion, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research conducted in this study show: first the communication planning carried out by the Muslimah Routine Study Community is very good, especially in terms of outreach to the public to want to take part in the activities or studies being carried out, create Arabic language learning programs, learn tajwid beginners, learn Iqra and improve Koran reading, practice bathing in jenajah, protect those who have just moved so that they remain istiqomah and open donations for those in need. In the planning of da'wah, each of the elements of da'wah has its own role, namely the competent preacher, mad'u who is the object of da'wah, effective methods, material according to needs, and media that helps in the spread of da'wah. Both in planning there are supporting and inhibiting factors. Utilizing social media facilitates da'wah activities by using gadgets so that they can be accessed easily. The influence of weather and busyness hampered da'wah activities so that it was constrained to attend the activities carried out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bagaimana gaya komunikasi yang digunakan pengasuh dalam menumbuhkan semangat anak-anak untuk menghafal Al- Qur’an. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, penelitian yang dilakukan dengan setting tertentu yang ada didalam kehidupan (alamiah) dengan maksud menginvestigasi dan memahami fenomena. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, studi kasus yang dilakukan secara intensif dan mendalam pada hal yang diteliti dengan menggunakan sumber wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya bahwa gaya komunikasi berpengaruh dalam menumbuhkan dan menjaga semangat anak-anak untuk menghafal al-Qur’an, karena jika hanya berbicara tanpa adanya gaya yang digunakan, anak-anak tahfidz Qur’an akan terasa jenuh dan tidak tertarik untuk bertahan menghafal al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This research aims to ascertain the significance of the Islamic ethical message conveyed in the film "Insya Allah Sah" directed by Benni Setiawan, distinguished by both verbal and nonverbal communication. The film is a medium that can be utilized for academic purposes, as the act of spreading religious teachings in this contemporary day is not limited to traditional preaching methods. Movies can benefit viewers, notably by imparting moral lessons encompassing education, culture, and other ethical values. "Insha Allah Sah" is a captivating comedic drama film that warrants investigation due to its exploration of Islamic ethical teachings, particularly about marriage and commitments. The study methodology employed is qualitative research utilizing content analysis techniques. This research methodology pertains to Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, which places emphasis on the examination of the signs present in films, encompassing both linguistic and non-linguistic elements. Data was gathered by firsthand observation of films and examination of conversation, scenes, and symbols depicted in the films. The employed methodology for data analysis is semiotic analysis, which involves the interpretation of each sign present in the film to uncover its underlying meaning. The research findings indicate the presence of many indications of da'wah messages in the film "Insya Allah Sah," encompassing aqidah (religious beliefs), sharia (Islamic law), and morals. The film effectively communicates these concepts through a combination of character speech, visual symbolism, and scenarios that portray Islamic principles. Hence, the movie "Insya Allah Sah" serves as both a source of entertainment and a means of imparting Islamic moral values to its viewers, thereby serving as an impactful platform for preaching in contemporary times.

Abstract

Personal Branding or Personal Branding will be easier if managed using the internet via social media. Personal Branding is not only done by professionals in the world of work, this can also be done by a preacher who preaches via social media to increase your trust in him. The purpose of this research is to find out the perspective of KPI UINSU 2020 students who like K-Pop regarding the Personal Branding built by Fuadh Naim in preaching on his social media, this is because K-Pop lovers will be more subjective in assessing the Personal Branding built by Ustad Fuadh Naim because it suits them, namely Korean culture. This research uses a type of field research using a qualitative approach, and data collection techniques using 3 methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research is narrative analysis. The results of this research show that the eight Personal Branding concepts coined by Peter Montoya are Specialization, Leadership, Personality, Difference, Appearance, Unity, Firmness and Good Name. This is found in Fuadh Naim's self and preaching seen from the informants' perspective in this research. This shows that Fuadh Naim has uniqueness in his personality and preaching so that his preaching can be easily accepted by his mad'u.
