Abstract

This research aimed to assess dynamics level of the members of the Harapan Makmur farmers' group in the village of Tuatuka, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency and the relationship between socio-economic factors (age, formal education, non-formal education, number of family- dependent people, income, agricultural experience) with the dynamics level of farmer group members of Harapan Makmur Tuatuka Sub-District, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency. This research used the case study method. The sample used is all farmers who are members of prosperous farmer groups of 35 respondents. Analysis of the data used in this research used a Likert scale and the Sperman rank correlation test (rs). The results showed that the age of majority respondents was classified as productive (85.70%), formal education was classified as low (60.00%), non-formal education was classified as high (91.43%), the number of dependent persons was quite high (62.86)%), long experience in agriculture (37.14%) and agricultural income wass quite high (88.58%). The dynamic level of the members of Harapan Makmur farmer group in Tuatuka subdistrict, East Kupang district, Kupang Regency was in the dynamic category (68.0%). ), The results of the analysis (rs) showed that socio- economic factors (age, formal education, non-formal education, number of family members, income,agricultural experience) that were related to the dynamics of the farmer group members were non- formal education. While other socio-economic factors had no real connection with the dynamics of Harapan Makmur farmer group in the village of Tuatuka, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of media, methods, materials and to determine the level of effectiveness of agricultural extension communications in the formation of independent farmers at the farmer group level of Usaha Baru in Pukdale Village, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The research method used is a survey method. The data used consists of primary data and secondary data. The respondent was determined by using saturated sampling technique or census in which 20 members of the New Usaha Farmer Group were sampled. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative and Rank Sperman analysis. The results showed that the communication media of agricultural extension in the formation of independent farmers at the farmer group level Effective new businesses were interpersonal media, effective extension communication methods, namely the individual approach method and group approach, effective extension materials, namely all materials on increasing agricultural production and effectiveness. Agricultural extension communication in the formation of independent farmers at the farmer group level of the New Business is in the effective category with a score of 3.96 and a maximum score of 79.25%.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Tagawiti Village, Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency from December 2020 to February 2021. This study aims to determine: (1) Strengths and Weaknesses of Peanut marketing; (2) Peanut Marketing Opportunities and Threats; (3) Peanut Marketing Strategy. The data collection method used in this research is the survey method. The location of the research was determined intentionally with the consideration that Tagawiti village is one of the peanut-producing villages. Determination of the number of samples used Slovin formula. The types of data collected are primary data and secondary data. The data are analyzed according to the purpose. To find out the first, second, and third purposes, the data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results showed that (1) The strength and weakness of peanut marketing in Tagawiti Village of Ile Ape District of Lembata Regency has an average score of 2.53 this indicates that the internal position is strong. (2) The opportunities and threats (Threats) of peanut marketing in Tagawiti Village of Ile Ape District of Lembata Regency have an average score of 2.54 this indicates that farmers respond to existing opportunities to avoid threats and (3). Marketing strategies implemented by farmers in Tagawiti Village of Ile Ape District of Lembata Regency are: a.) SO (strength-opportunity) strategy is to improve the quality and quantity of products. b.) St (strength-threat) strategy is to cooperate with the village government in sales efforts. c.) WO (Weakness-Opportunity) strategy is to improve the sales management system and promote, increase standardization and grading. d.) WT (Weakness-Threat) strategy is to improve good relations with consumers.
