One area that can be supported by this technology is the field of health, particularly in the dental information system. Processing the patient data is one of the many factors that have an important role in hospital industry. The manual processing of patient data in dental clinic X Yogyakarta, Indonesia is inefficient and ineffective. It cant guarantee the accuracy of the calculation, recapitulations, and reporting system. The rapid development of information technology makes it possible to develop a dental information system, which gives accurate reports on the status of the patients in real time for the purpose of improving patient’s safety and quality of services. In this research, the application is developed with Java programming language and mySQL database. The testing results of the application have shown that the program can be operated easily, has a clear work flow, supports various facilities that help users, and is able to become valuable inputs for dental clinic management in the decision making process. Abstract

This research was conducted on the ground of the reason for the increasingly widespread use of narratives on various social media platforms. Narrative is an event whereby someone represents an event aiming to influence the understanding, emotions and values of others. This study qualitatively aims to capture the most common elements of narrative structure focusing on political, economic, and socio-cultural rhetorical narratives data originated from social media platforms. The theoretical model of narrative structure consisting of Abstract, Orientation, Complicating Actions, Resolution, Evaluation and Coda, as proposed by Labov and Waletzky was used to analyze the narrative data collected during the first four months of 2022. On the ground of social situated meanings, the findings show that the most common model of narrative structure is fully used whenever greater details of events, facts, or information are needed to be emphasized. For such reasons, all the elements of narrative structure are held to be obligatory. The findings show that some elements of narrative structure are left out and held to be optional as such elements are not considered necessary to convey the main content. In addition, the findings also show that some particular element allows it to be further developed with more embedded events, facts, opinion, or information.

Abstract

This study examines code-mixing as used by Agnez Mo and Daniel Mananta in the podcast Daniel Tetangga Kamu (Your Neighbor Daniel), specifically in the episode Go International, Agnez Mo Selalu Bangga Mewakili Indonesia (Go International, Agnez Mo is Always Proud to Represent Indonesia). The analysis is based on Muysken’s (2000) theory of types of code-mixing. The research was conducted qualitatively, supported by simple quantitative calculations. The findings show that both speakers employed all three types of code-mixing. Moreover, congruent lexicalization, as the most complex type, was dominantly used by both, indicating strong language skills in both Agnez Mo and Daniel Mananta. However, Agnez Mo used code-mixing more frequently than Daniel Mananta in the video. This difference is more likely due to unequal speaking opportunities, as one served as the host and the other as the guest. Overall, this study provides useful findings and discussions on the significant patterns of code-mixing used in the podcast Daniel Tetangga Kamu (Your Neighbor Daniel). Future researchers are encouraged to explore code-mixing on newer digital platforms that are increasingly popular among youth, such as TikTok. Lastly, they are advised to complement Muysken’s (2000) structural framework with additional theories that examine social relationship or interactional functions.
