Abstract

Family statisfaction is determined by a good response time. The objective of this research is to investigate the correlation between the nurses’s response time in giving service and family statisfaction at Emergency Unit of RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan This research use th correlational descriptive method. The population of this research consisted of 597 patient. Yhe sample of the research consisted of 42. They were colleted through stopwacth/handphone that have a stopwatch to caculate the response time and questionnsire consisting of 20 questions about family statisfiction of patient. The result of the research show that nurses’response time at Emergency Unit RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan was a past’s response time.In addition, the family of patients were statisfied with the service at Emergency Unit of RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan. Abstract

Head injury is any cases that caused high disability and mortallity rate. In neurology, head injury occupies the first squence and become the main of health problem to most youth, health and productive peoples. The treatment of head injury treatment is to prevent damage of brain cells by adequate oxygenation. The objective of the research was to find out the influence of giving oxygent therapy by using non-rebreathing mask (NRM) towards changing of partial pressure CO2 (PaCO2) value to head injury patients in ICU room of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. The research used the quasi experiment method with time series design. The samples were 10 respondents, taken by purpossive sampling technique. The instrument of the research was observation sheet. The result of the research showed that before given the oxygent therapy by using nonrebreathing mask (NRM), 5 respondents (50%) had normal blood pH value, 6 respondents (60%) had low blood HCO3- value, and 6 respondents (60%) had normal blood PaCO2 value. After given oxygent therapy found that 5 respondents (50%) had low blood pH value, 6 respondents (60%) had low blood HCO3- value, and 7 respondents (70%) had low blood PaCO2 value. The result of statistic analyze with T-Test was found significant influence of changing PaCO2 value with p value = 0,000 (p<0,05). The reduction of PaCO2 value is followed by increasing of blood pH value and reduction of blood HCO3- value. Using of non-rebreathing mask (NRM) is only effective for head injury patients with high blood PaCO2.

Abstract

Menopause is the end of the biological process of the menstrual cycle that occurs due to a decrease in the hormone estrogen produced by the ovaries. The reduction in hormones results in metabolic changes in the female body, so there is a tendency to increase body weight, which accumulates in the stomach and can further interfere with physical and psychological health. Low information about menopause results in women being unable to maintain their weight balance, which impacts the potential incidence of non-communicable diseases (degenerative diseases) and low quality of life. Cadres as resources from the community are trained and prepared to provide information to women in their work areas in the face of menopause. The training was conducted for two days with the provision of material on menopause and prevention of weight gain as well as physical activity training and food measurements for 30 health cadres in the Cinta Damai village of Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

Periodically, a woman's reproductive function will experience significant changes with age. Various complaints are experienced at this time ranging from mild to severe somatic complaints and even an increase in Body Mass Index (BMI). This study aims to identify increases in weight, blood pressure, menopausal complaints and complaint control behaviors experienced during menopause in 70 menopausal women in DIY in 2020. It was found that as many as 65.7% of women had menopause in the age group of 53-55 years, the highest level of education (72.8%) in the low category (elementary, junior high), working mothers (84.3%), the age of marriage was ≤ 20 years (81.4%) and had children > 2 people (72.9%). It was found that as many as 28 people (40%) had BMI in the fat and obesity categories, 42 people (60%) had blood pressure in the prehypertensive to hypertensive categories, had the heaviest menopausal complaints in complaints of discomfort in the joints and muscles (pain in the joints, rheumatic complaints) and behavior towards efforts to control menopausal complaints in the form of frequency and regular eating patterns until physical activity was considered still low. Ongoing health education efforts are needed for women in rural areas related to the impact of menopause and efforts to prevent complaints and weight gain experienced after menopause.
