Abstract

ABSTRAKDi Indonesia terdapat banyak suku yang tersebar di lima pulau besar seperti Jawa, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, dan Papua. Hal itu tergambar dengan adanya rumah adat masing-masing suku dan tiap rumah adat memiliki nilai, historis tersendiri. Salah satu suku yang memiliki keunikan tipe dalam pengelolaan bentuk fisik bangunannya adalah rumah adat masyarakat Dayak yang banyak terdapat di pulau Kalimantan bahkan tersebar sampai negeri jiran Malaysia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data sekunder. Fokus penelitian ini pada tipe bangunan dan ciri-cirinya, teritori atau sebaran serta visual rumah adat dayak.Kata Kunci: Tipologi, rumah adat, suku dayakABSTRACTIn Indonesia there are many tribes spread across five large islands such as Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. This is illustrated by the existence of traditional houses of each tribe and each traditional house has its own historical value. One of the tribes that have a unique type in the management of the physical form of the building is the traditional house of the Dayak community, which is widely available on the island of Borneo and even spread to neighboring Malaysia. The method used is a qualitative description with secondary data collection. The focus of this research is on the type of building and its characteristics, territory or distribution and visuals of traditional Dayak houses.Key Word: Typology, traditional house, Dayak tribe
