Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is that it is not conducive and the learning process is ineffective and there are still many learning problems experienced by students in schools that cause harm to the students themselves. So study aims to describe the conditions of the implementation of the learning process by the teacher according to students' opinions. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive research method, with a population of all students of class X and XI at public high schools and also private high schools accredited A in the city of Padang, where the sample is 137 taken based on purposive sampling technique. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires and the results were analyzed by calculating the score to determine the percentage and criteria and determining the mean, mode, median and different test (t-test) from the average score of the respondents' answers. The results showed that the conditions for the implementation of the learning process according to the opinions of students at public high schools and private high schools were both in the good category, with an average score of 269.80 and the respondent's level of achievement of 73.91%, where the public high school score was higher than on private high school scores with insignificant differences. This shows that the A-accredited public high school and private high schools in the city of Padang have implemented the principles of high touch and high tech quite well in the learning process.AbstrakLatarbelakang penelitian ini adalah kurang kondusif serta kurang efektifnya proses pembelajaran dan masih banyaknya masalah belajar yang dialami siswa di sekolah yang menyebabkan kerugian bagi siswa itu sendiri. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi implementasi proses pembelajaran oleh guru menurut pendapat siswa di SMA Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitia deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X dan XI pada SMA Negeri dan juga SMA Swasta yang berakreditasi A di Kota Padang, dimana sampelnya berjumlah 137 yang diambil berdasarkan teknik porpusive sampling. Data diperoleh dengan penyebaran angket dan hasilnya dianalisis dengan menghitung skor untuk menentukan persentase dan kriteria serta menentukan mean, modus, median dan uji beda (t-test) dari skor rata-rata jawaban responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk kondisi implementasi proses pembelajaran menurut pendapat siswa pada SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta sama-sama berkategori baik, dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 269,80 dan tingkat capaian responden sebesar 73,91%, dimana skor SMA Negeri lebih tinggi dari pada skor SMA Swasta dengan perbedaan yang tidak signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta berakreditasi A di Kota Padang telah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kewibawaan dan kewiyataan dengan cukup bagus dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Education always experiences change and development under developments in all areas of life. Rapid technological developments make it easier for humans to carry out their daily activities. Technology that is experiencing rapid development is an information technology, one of which is the internet. This study aims to describe differences in internet addiction between male and female students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Sample of this study was 258 students (47 male and 211 female). The analysis technique used is independent of sample t-test combined with a stacking Rasch model. The results of analysis showed that there was no difference in internet addiction between male and female students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Internet addiction of male and female students has no difference, it can see from the ability of students to answer instrument statements are the same this is show by the value of internet addiction (sig =.233), this states p-value> 0.05, which shows there is no significant difference in internet addiction between male and female students. It further states the discussion regarding counseling and guidance services.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal the readiness of guidance and counseling teachers toward Teacher’s Performance Assesment (TPA) at the quality of their understanding and attitude by using quantitative-descriptive method.The subject of this research is all guidance and counseling teachers at State Senior High Schools and State Vocational High School in Batu Bara District, North Sumatera Province. The number of the research subjects is 33 persons. Semantic differential model scale is the instrument being used in this research to measure the understanding and attitude of research subjects toward TPA.Statistic technique of Mann Whitney U is used to compare the data of two independent samples, and of  Kruskal Wallis One Way Anova is used to compare the data of more than two independent samples, and Correlation Product Moment to see the correlation of the data.Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the readiness scores of research subjects toward TPA are not in good category

Abstract

This research begins from the condition of students’ discipline associated to the utilization of school canteen. The aim of the research is to obtain an overview regarding the information services provided by the guidance and counseling teachers. The background of the research is about the students’ discipline associated to school canteen, condition and role of school canteen and also the role of guidance and counseling service particularly information service. The research used a descriptive quantitative method. Then, the population was the principal, guidance and counseling teachers, and students in Padang City Vocational School who were selected by using the purposive sampling technique. The research findings are: 1) the condition and role of school stalls according to the opinion of principal are in good category and according to the opinion of guidance and counseling teachers are in good enough category. 2) Students' disciplin in the utilization of school canteen according to the opinion of guidance and counseling teachers are good, meanwhile the student' opinions  are good enough category. 3) The implementation of information services associated to the utilization of school canteens according to guidance and counseling teachers and students is in the good category.

Abstract

Learning activities can occur everywhere, including in the school environment. Learning activities in schools have various components that enable the emergence of student learning problems. These problems affect or even determine the quality of student learning outcomes. The Role of Guidance and Counseling, among them in the form of Content Mastery Services is needed to overcome these problems. This role becomes the main task of school counselors to optimize student learning outcomes. This article is a literature review. The results of the study show the discussion on the important role of Content Mastery Service on the quality of student learning activities in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya peran guru dalam memberikan penguatan terhadap perilaku positif yang ditampilkan siswa dan penguatan belum menjadi prioritas penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Kualitas pemahaman tentang penguatan merupakan faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi pemberian penguatan kepada siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah semua Guru Mata Pelajaran dan Guru BK atau Konselor, serta siswa SMAN Kota Sungai Penuh, dengan jumlah sampel 101 guru yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan 160 siswa yang dipilih dengan proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket, kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan untuk melihat tingkat keberartian atau signifikan perbedaan dari dua skor rata-rata, dianalisis dengan T-test, kemudian untuk membandingkan antara skor rata-rata Guru BK dan Guru MP dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Man-Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kualitas penguatan Guru MP/BK-K kepada siswa di sekolah berada pada kategori baik, dengan skor rata-rata Guru BK atau Konselor lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor rata-rata Guru Mata Pelajaran. Kemudian, skor rata-rata pemahaman guru terkait dengan materi tujuan penguatan berada pada kategori baik dan bentuk penguatan berada pada kategori cukup, serta (2) pendapat siswa tentang penguatan yang diberikan oleh Guru MP/BK-K secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori cukup, secara khusus: (a) pendapat siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin, jurusan dan kelas, (b) pendapat siswa tentang strategi guru memberikan penguatan, dan (c) dampak penguatan yang diberikan oleh guru masing-masing memperoleh skor rata-rata pada kategori cukup, dengan perbedaan yang tidak signifikan.

Abstract

This article discusses the ontology, epistemology, and axiology of counseling as well as the role of psychology in counseling by using references from relevant literature reviews. Counseling is a professional assistance service to a person or group of individuals for the effective handling and handling of everyday life that is not disturbed by an independent personal focus who is able to control themselves through the provision of various types of services and support activities in the learning process. Philosophical assumptions to build counseling as a science that can be assumed through ontology, epistemology, and counseling axiology. Counseling also plays a role and functions automatically in determining the behavior of the social sphere. As we know, psychology is the study of the symptoms of the human psyche. Psychological study is a study of individual behavior where guidance and counseling means providing an understanding of the targeted individual's behavior, therefore the role of psychology in counseling is very necessary and of course useful for the development of students later.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah tidak berjalan dengan baik terutama dalam pembinaan guru bimbingan dan konseling. Ada tiga tujuan dari penelitian ini. Yang pertama adalah menggambarkan upaya pembinaan kinerja yang dilakukan oleh guru itu sendiri. Yang kedua adalah untuk menggambarkan upaya pembinaan kinerja yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah. Yang ketiga adalah untuk menggambarkan upaya pembinaan kinerja yang dilakukan oleh pengawas bimbingan dan konseling. Upaya pembinaan kinerja yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah serta fasilitas dan dana pendukungnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah lima puluh lima guru bimbingan dan konseling dan dua supervisor dari SMP dan SMA yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala model Likert. Temuan penelitian ini antara lain. Pertama, upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling secara rata-rata masih “kurang”. Kedua, upaya yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah secara rata-rata masih "sangat kurang". Ketiga, upaya yang dilakukan oleh pengawas secara rata-rata masih “sangat kurang”. Namun, upaya pembinaan perlu ditingkatkan dan dikembangkan baik untuk proses maupun implementasinya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan dalam pembinaan kinerja guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam melaksanakan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang sukses di sekolah.

Abstract

Skills students ask a low asking in the learning process can disrupt the effective learning process at school. Questioning skills that students need to improve are the attitude about the material to be asked, how to ask for an opportunity to ask, the attitude when given the opportunity to ask, the attitude when the friend is given the opportunity to ask questions, the effort summarizes the whole question material. Based on this, the role of guidance and counseling is expected to meet the learning needs of students. One model that can be done to improve questioning skills is to provide content mastery services. Content mastery services help students, groups or classes to master a particular skill or competency consisting of 5 stages: the delivery, exploration, interpretation, coaching and assessment phases. With this content mastery service, it is hoped to improve the students' skills inquiring. Abstract

Pendidikan adalah dari, untuk dan oleh manusia. Konsep nilai-nilai kesejatian manusia menjadi dasar pendidikan, yang mengarahkan isi, proses dan hasil upaya pendidikan. Upaya pendidikan ini dilakukan melalui kegiatan yang penuh nilai-nilai karakter dengan menegakkan pilar kewibawaan yang bernuansa “sentuhan tingkat tinggi” dan pilar kewiyataan yang mempraktikkan teknologi tingkat tinggi dalam kegiatan belajar dan pembelajaran, yang secara keseluruhan mem-praktikkan strategi transformasional. Seluruh kegiatan pendidikan berisi tiga ranah pengembangan, yaitu ranah sikap (sikap sosial dan religius), pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang secara holistik dan komprehensif penuh dengan nilai-nilai karakter. Di Indonesia, nilai-nilai kesejatian manusia itu dirumuskan dalam bentuk filsafat dan ideologi bangsa dan negara, yaitu Pancasila, yang memberikan dasar dan warna bagi keseluruhan materi undang-undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Indonesia.Education is from, for and by human being. The concept of the genuine human values becomes the basis of education, and this basis directs the contents, the process and the results of education efforts. This efforts are done in full character condition by uprighting the high touch and high tech pilars of teaching–learning process with the application of transformational strategy. The whole contensts of education consist the substancies in their three domains, i.e. attitude (social and religious attitude), knowledge and skill domains with are holistically and comprehensively full of character values. In Indonesia, the genuine human values is formulated as philosophy and ideology of nation and state, i.e. Pancasila, and gives its significant values in coloring the whole substances of Indonesian National Education System law.
