Jewawut merupakan sejenis serealia berbiji kecil yang popular sebagai makanan pokok di beberapa wilaya di Indonesia seperti Sulawesi selatan, Sulawesi Barat, pulau Buru, Nusa Tenggara Timur, dan Jawa Tengah. Jewawut juga merupakan sumber bahan pangan keenam setelah Gandum, Beras, Jagung, Barley, dan Sorgum. Jewawut merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan dalam rangka memperkuat ketahanan pangan sebagai sumber karbohidrat pengganti beras. Ini menunjukan bahwa Jewawut berpotensi sebagai sumber pangan fungsional, terutama sebagai sumber energi. Pemanfaatan jewawut sebagai bahan pangan sudah banyak dilakukan di dunia, meskipun di Indonesia masih dikelola dengan cara tradisional yaitu dimulai dengan proses penjemuran, disosoh, hingga hanya terdapat bagian daging atau endospermanya saja. Salah satunya adalah Desa Rossoan, Kabupaten Enrekang. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran bagaimana cara membuat baje ba’tan dari biji jewawut yang sudah menjadi ciri khas dari Enrekang.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Agustus - 3 Oktober 2020 bertempat di Leon, Desa Rossoan Kab.Enrekang, Sulawesi Selatan. Dalam program ini beberapa pelaksanaan yang dilakukan yaitu produk sarabba bubuk instan karena sebagian masyarakat Desa Rossoan bekerja sebagai penghasil gula merah dan jahe yang merupakan bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan sarabba bubuk. Sarabba bubuk adalah sarabba versi bubuk yang bentuknya seperti gula semut karena bentuknya mirip rumah semut yang bersarang di tanah. Sarabba bubuk memiliki banyak manfaat diantaranya yaitu mampu menjaga daya tahan tubuh, meredakan nyeri haid, mengobati flu, menghangatkan badan dan tenggorokan, serta meredakan masuk angin. Tujuan dari pembuatan produk sarabba bubuk yaitu untuk memberikan inovasi kepada masyarakat Desa Rossoan agar dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat melalui produk sarabba bubuk ini. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program yaitu metode observasi dan metode pelaksanaan atau tahapan-tahapan dalam pengelolaan sarabba bubuk.

This study aims: (1) to describe and explain the multicultural education content in Interlanguage English textbooks of senior high school level, and (2) to describe and explain the quality of the multicultural education content in Interlanguage English textbooks of senior high school level. The form of this research was descriptive qualitative. The data sources in this study were Interlanguage English textbooks of senior high school in Maroangin and informants, namely the authors of the books analyzed. Data collection techniques using content analysis techniques, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. Test the validity of the data with the theory and source triangulation techniques, while data analysis used interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) the contents of multicultural education in the analyzed Interlanguage English textbooks do not fully contain the dimensions of multicultural education. This was evident from the five dimensions that should have existed only three dimensions were raised, namely the dimensions of material integration, the dimension of reducing prejudice, as well as the dimensions of strengthening school culture and social structure. Whereas the other two dimensions, namely the dimension of knowledge construction and the dimension of adjustment of learning methods were not found in the textbook; (2) the quality of multicultural education content in the lessons is still very inadequate. This is because not all multicultural dimensions are integrated into the textbook.

The research aimed to describe the implementation of the International Community Service Program which has been done at Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang. Specifically the research seeked to uncover: (1) The implementation of International Community Service Program which has been carried out so far; (2) The effectiveness of implementation International Community Service Program was seen from the responses of the stake holders and participants; and, (3) International Community Service Program model formulation for prospective teachers in Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang. For achieving these objectives, exploratory studies were carried out with an approach descriptive qualitative. The research involved STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang where stakeholders were the main respondents. Information in the field was explored using interview, analysis techniques documents, and questionnaire distribution. After the data was collected and processed. The research concludes as follows: (1) International Community Service Program is a program which important, therefore; even really needs to be done; and (2) International Community Service Program for prospective teachers in Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang based on the needs analysis in the field has unique characteristics of aspects: (a) duration of implementation: (b) destination country; (c) the amount of the fee needed; (d) the frequency of monitoring needed; (e) participants who involved; (f) parties involved, (f) activity management team, and (g) material required activities. Research recommends things following: (1) analyzing field requirements before the International Community Service Program implemented, (2) doing careful preparation, (c) doing reflection at each stage of implementation.

The objective of the research is to improve speaking skill of English House Course students through English camp strategy. This was an pre-experimental research using one group on pre-test and post-test design, the population of this research was the students of English House Course which has 80 students. Because the total number of the population was big enough, the researcher took 20 samples and applied random sampling technique; it means that one class of the population were taken as samples and the data was analyzed into percentage, mean score analyzes and the value of the t-test. The result of the data analyzes shows that the students’ achievement on the pre-test was 71,7 and post-test was 86,1. This shows that English camp is a good strategy in English learning process at the students of English House Course Maroangin. After analyzing the data by using the t-test formula, the result of the t-test value (11,86) was greater than t-table value (2,093). This indicated that the hypothesis of research is accepted. There is a significant Influence of English camp program towards the students’ achievement in English learning process. The researcher does English camp in English House Course Maroangin Kabupaten Enrekang for five days and it gives positive effect of students’ skill in speaking. All item of learning achievement able to improve the students’ speaking skill.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis akademik bahasa Inggris melalui teknik pengajaran dictogloss. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan yang dilaksanakan pada program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, STKIP Muhamamdiyah Enrekang. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama dua siklus dan setiap tindakan terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumen dan tes. Hasil dari analisis data kualitatif mengindikasikan bahwa setiap siklus partisipasi melakukan secara antusias dan memiliki motivasi yang tinggi, menulis rekonstruksi esai dengan sangat baik sehingga proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan sangat baik. Sedangkan, analisis data kualitatif menunjukkan penerapan teknik pengajaran dictogloss dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis esai akademik mahasiswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil mahasiswa. Post tes pada siklus I, skor hanya 20,93 tetapi meningkat menjadi 5 poin menjadi 25,27 pada siklus ke II. Ini berarti bahwa, ada 20 % partisipan mendapatkan band > 6 pada siklus ke II dan 73 % partisipan memperoleh band > 6 pada siklus ke II.

Character is an important aspect to human success in the future. Character education is now a major issue in education, apart from being part of the process of forming the morals of the nation's children, character education is also expected to be the main foundation in the success of Indonesia Gold 2025. This study aims to determine the application of local culture-based character education at SMAN 4 Enrekang and supporting and inhibiting factors of local culture-based character education and how the results of the application of local culture-based character education. This research was a qualitative descriptive study conducted at SMAN 4 Enrekang. Researcher collected data using interviews and documentation and analysis of data was qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that the students are less able to grasp the pattern of character education because of lack of discipline in their daily life habits and outside school, lack of awareness of students to respect their teachers so that the value of student character values decrease and lack of communication between teacher and students’ parents.

Character is an important factor of future human progress. Character education has become a main issue in education, beyond being part of the learning process of shaping the morals of the children of the country, character education is now expected to be the principal foundation of Indonesia Gold 2025 's success. Various studies and facts show that the developed nation is a nation that has strong character. These character values are values that are extracted from cultural treasures that are in harmony with the characteristics of the local culture and not to "copy" other ward values that are not necessarily in accordance with the characteristics and personalities of the people and the local community. In general local culture is local ideas that are wise, full of wisdom, good value, which are embedded and followed by community members. Local wisdom is an alternative to the development of students' character without leaving their regional identity. Local wisdom, which is the lifeline of social interaction in the region, will be more quickly absorbed by students to think, act and behave according to the guidance of local customs and culture. This research will be conducted at The State High School 4 Enrekang and aims to determine the application of local culture-based character education at SMAN 4 Enrekang and supporting and inhibiting factors of local culture-based character education and how the results of the application of local culture-based character education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted at SMAN 4 Enrekang. Researchers will collect the data using observation, interviews, the questionnaire and documentation and analysis of data is qualitative analysis.
