This Final Practical Work aimed to study the natural breeding techniques of the freshwater ornamental fish blue gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus) at the Kupang State Agricultural Polytechnic and to comprehensively evaluate its reproductive success. The practical activity was conducted from April 4 to April 25, 2026, using field observation, active participation, and supporting secondary data collection methods. The main operational procedures included aquarium preparation, selection of mature broodstock, natural spawning, egg incubation, larval rearing, and water quality management. The broodstock pair used in the spawning process consisted of a male weighing 27 g and a female weighing 21 g, which successfully produced a total of 2,945 eggs. The results of the data analysis indicated excellent reproductive performance, with a Fertilization Rate (FR) of 83%, a Hatching Rate (HR) of 78%, and a Survival Rate (SR) of 82%. During the rearing period, water quality parameters remained stable within the optimal range for fish culture, with water temperature ranging from 26–27°C, pH from 7.1–7.2, and dissolved oxygen (DO) levels between 5.7–5.9 ppm. The high success rate of natural breeding was strongly influenced by the quality of broodstock, proper spawning management, stable water quality, the provision of live feed suitable for larval mouth opening, and effective seed acclimatization practices. Based on the results of this activity, it is recommended that fish farmers regularly and consistently monitor water quality parameters to minimize stress on fish fry. Further studies on feed types and aquatic environmental engineering are highly recommended to continuously improve the productivity of natural breeding of blue gourami in a sustainable manner
