Abstract

West Kotawaringin Regency is one of the districts in the Central Kalimantan region which is geographically drained by 3 (three) large rivers, namely: the Kumai River, the Lamandau River and the Arut River. As time goes by and population density increases, the existence of rivers creates new problems due to the development and expansion of agriculture and plantations. Referring to this problem, this research was conducted to observe the level of land cover change that occurred in the Arut river basin, South Arut District, West Kotawaringin Regency. This research was carried out using remote sensing methods and geographic information systems. The data used in this method is Landsat satellite image data from 1996, 2010 and 2016. These three data are classified according to their appearance using the supervised classification method and analyzed using the intersection technique. The restrictions on conversion of functions in this research were only carried out on the appearance of forests and plantations. This research produced a map of changes in forest conversion to plantations in the 1996-2016 time period. This research also produces patterns of changes in forest and plantation areas during this time period.

Abstract

Di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Barat, industry wisata kuliner kebanyakan dilakukan oleh penggiat usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM). Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UKM di Kotawaringin Barat adalah kurangnya media pemasaran yang baik, sehingga jangkauan pemasaran bagi para penggiat UKM hanya sebatas informasi dari mulut-ke mulut, dan pemasaran melalui toko-toko terdekat. Hal ini juga terjadi pada Kelompok UKM Kapitan Mandiri, Desa Sungai Kapitan, Kecamatan Kumai, Kabupaten Kotawaringin Barat, Kalimantan Tengah. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan digital marketing bagi para penggiat UKM khususnya kelompok UKM Kapitan Mandiri. Dengan program pelatihan digital marketing ini para peserta dapat diberikan pengetahuan baru terkait pembuatan, pengeditan, serta publikasi konten digital. Dengan kemampuan di bidang digital tersebut, diharapkan para pelaku UKM dapat semakin keratif dalam mempromosikan produk yang dimiliki di media sosial seperti: Instagram dan facebook sehingga jangkauan pemasaran produk UKM menjadi lebih luas. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memberikan dampak yang baik bagi para peserta. Kegiatan PkM ini dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan dalam pemasaran. Dengan kegiatan PkM ini para anggota telah memiliki akun sosial media yang dikelola secara mandiri hasil dari kegiatan PkM yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

West Kotawaringin Regency has substantial potential, especially in tourism. This regency boasts international tourist destinations capable of attracting visitors. Such conditions should ideally drive the development of other industries in West Kotawaringin, including the culinary tourism sector. The culinary tourism industry in West Kotawaringin is largely driven by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). One SME group in this region, Kapitan Mandiri in Sungai Kapitan Village, has promising local fish-based products like amplang (fish crackers), fish chips, fish sticks, and more. However, product marketing has not been optimal due to limited digital literacy among its managers. This community service program aims to provide digital marketing assistance using the RACE (Reach, Act, Convert, Engage) framework to help Kapitan Mandiri design and implement a digital marketing strategy. The program consists of several phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Results show an increase in social media followers, audience engagement, and sales growth of 15-20%. This program is expected to serve as a digitalization assistance model for other SMEs in similar areas.
