Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa secara finansial tentang biaya produksi dan tingkat keuntungan usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang yang berbeda. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam ras petelur jantan strain Isa Brown, berjumlah 208 ekor umur 1 hari (DOC). Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, terdiri atas 4 perlakuan kepadatan kandang dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan kepadatan kandang antara lain K1: 10 ekor/m2, K2: 12 ekor/m2, K3: 14 ekor/m2, dan K4: 16 ekor/m2. Variabel yang diamati: biaya produksi, penerimaan usaha, pendapatan usaha, dan kelayakan usaha. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata pendapatan usaha peternakan dan kelayakan usaha ayam ras petelur jantan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya produksi tertinggi terdapat pada biaya variabel, dimana pada biaya variabel biaya pakan adalah biaya yang mendominasi dalam usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan. Total biaya produksi terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K1 yaitu Rp. 15.909,-/ekor dan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan K2 yaitu Rp. 16.824,-/ekor. Penerimaan usaha tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan K1 Rp. 26.136,-/ekor dan penerimaan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K4 Rp. 24.550,-/ekor. Keuntungan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan K1 Rp. 10.227,-/ekor dan terendah pada perlakuan K4 Rp. 7.998,-/ekor. Hasil analisis R/C ratio pada kepadatan kandang 10, 12, 14, dan 16 ekor/m2 memperoleh nilai lebih besar dari 1. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usaha ayam ras petelur jantan menguntungkan dan layak diusahakan. Disimpulkan bahwa secara finansial usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang 10-16 ekor/m2 menguntungkan dan layak diusahakan/diteruskan.(Financial Analysis of Male Chicken Layers with Different Cage Density)ABSTRACT. This study aims to analyze financially the production costs and the profitability of male laying chicken farms at different cage densities. Animals used for research amounting to 208 birds male layer DOC strain Isa Brown. The study was designed into Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications; K1:10 birds/m2, K2:12 birds/m2, K3:14 birds/m2 and K4:16 birds/m2. Observed variables were: production cost, business revenue, operating revenues, and business feasibility. The data analysis was to calculate the financial analysis of male layer chickens. The results showed that the highest production cost was found in variable cost, and feed cost was the dominant cost in the male layer chickens. The lowest total production cost is in K1 treatment which was Rp. 15.909,- /birds and the highest was in K2 treatment is Rp. 16.824,-/birds. The highest business acceptance was in K1 treatment Rp. 26.136,-/birds and lowest acceptance on K4 treatment Rp. 24.550,-/birds. The highest profit is obtained in the treatment of K1 Rp. 10.227,-/birds and lowest on treatment K4 Rp. 7,998, -/birds. The result of R/C ratio analysis at density of 10, 12 14, and 16 birds / m2 has value greater than 1. This indicates that the business of male layer chickens is profitable and feasible to be continued. It was concluded that financially the farming business of male layer chickens in the density of 10-16 birds/m2 was favorable and feasible.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kepadatan kandang yang berbeda terhadap performan dan persentase karkas. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam ras petelur jantan strain Isa Brown dari PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm, Medan, sebanyak 208 ekor berumur 1 hari (DOC). Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri atas 4 perlakuan tingkat kepadatan kandang dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuannya antara lain adalah K1: 10 ekor/m2, K2: 12 ekor/m2, K3: 14 ekor/m2, K4: 16 ekor/m2. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analysis of variance dan jika memberikan hasil yang nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi: konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir, konversi ransum, mortalitas, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan kandang yang berbeda 10, 12 14, dan 16 ekor/m2 tidak memberi pengaruh yang nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum ayam ras petelur jantan umur 6 minggu. Demikian juga halnya terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir, konversi ransum, bobot karkas. Pemeliharaan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang yang berbeda tidak mengalami mortalitas (0%) selama 6 minggu penelitian. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kepadatan kandang yang berbeda 10, 12, 14 dan 16 ekor/m2 tidak mempengaruhi performan, dan persentase karkas ayam ras petelur jantan umur 6 minggu. Pemeliharaan ayam ras petelur jantan masih dapat dilakukan pada kepadatan kandang 16 ekor/m2 tanpa mempengaruhi performan dan persentase karkas.(Performance and carcass percentage of male chicken layers with different density)ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance and carcass percentage of male layer chickens in different density of cage. U 208 male layer DOC, strain Isa Brown produced by PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm, Medan. The study was designed into Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications; K1: 10 birds/m2, K2: 12 birds/m2, K3: 14 birds/m2 and K4: 16 birds/m2.Data was analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), a significant difference, would be analyzed with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. Measured variables were, body weight, feed consumption, feed conversion, mortality, and carcass percentage. The results indicated that different density of cage has no significant effect on final body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion and carcass percentage of male layer chickens. Density of cage did not influence to mortality rate of male . In conclusion, density of cage of 10, 12, 14, and 16 birds/m2 did not affect performance and carcass percentage of male chicken layers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penggunaan wafer ransum komplit mengandung limbah kopi pada itik peking dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui berat akhir dan persentase karkas. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah itik peking umur 1 hari (DOD) sebanyak 96 ekor dibagi dalam 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Ransum yang digunakan satu bulan pertama adalah ransum komersil, dan satu bulan terakhir wafer ransum komplit mengandung limbah kopi. Ransum perlakuan yang diberikan adalah: P0 = Wafer ransum komplit 0% limbah kopi (kontrol), P1 = Wafer ransum komplit 2,5% limbah kopi, P2 = Wafer ransum komplit 5% limbah kopi, dan P3 = Wafer ransum komplit 7,5% limbah kopi. Parameter yang diamati: bobot hidup, bobot karkas, bobot potongan karkas, persentase karkas, dan persentase potongan karkas. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Data dianalisis dengan analysis of variance dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan limbah kulit kopi sebagai bahan penyusun ransum itik peking dalam bentuk wafer ransum komplit berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot akhir. Penggunaan limbah kulit kopi 2,5% dalam ransum secara signifikan (P0.05) meningkatkan bobot karkas dan potongan karkas. Dapat disimpulkan penggunaan limbah kulit kopi sebanyak 2,5% sebagai bahan penyusun wafer ransum komplit tidak memberi pengaruh negatif terhadap bobot badan akhir, persentase karkas dan potongan karkas itik peking.(Carcass percentage of peking duck feed wafer complete ration containing of coffee waste)ABSTRACT. This research was conducted to study the effectiveness of wafer complete ration containing coffee waste on the final body weight and carcass percentage. The study used 96 DOD Peking duck. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. Rations used during the first month was a commercial ration, and then subsequently wafer complete ration of coffee waste given as treatments; P0 = wafer complete ration contained 0% of coffee waste (control), P1 = wafer complete ration 2,5% of coffee waste, P2 = wafer complete ration 5% of coffee waste, and P3 = Wafer complete ration 7,5% of coffee waste. The observed variables were: final body weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, carcass component weight, and carcass component percentage. Collected data was analyzed by ANOVA and followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test if there was a significant different between treatments. The results showed wafer complete ration containing coffee waste was significantly (P 0.05) effect on final body weight. Feed containing 2,5 % of coffee waste significantly (P0.05) effect on carcass weight and carcass percentage. It is concluded that no negatif effect of wafer complete ration containing 2,5 % coffee waste on final body weight and carcass percentage of peking duck.

Abstract

Effect of coffee waste as component of compiler ration peking duck in the form of wafer complete rationABSTRACT. Coffee waste is a by-product of coffee processing that potential to be used as feed stuff for peking duck. The weakness of this coffee waste, among others, is perishable, voluminous (bulky) and the availability was fluctuated so the processing technology is needed to make this vegetable waste to be durable, easy to stored and to be given to livestock. To solve this problem vegetable waste could be formed as wafer. This research was conducted to study effectiveness of coffee waste as component of compiler ration peking duck in the form of wafer complete ration This experiment was run in completely randomized design which consist of 4 feed treatment and 3 replications. Ration used was consisted of P0 = wafer complete ration 0% coffee waste (control), P1 = wafer complete ration 2,5% coffee waste, P2 = wafer complete ration 5% coffee waste, and P3 = Wafer complete ration 7,5% coffee waste. The Variables observed were: physical characteristic (aroma, color, and wafer density) and palatability of wafer complete ration. Data collected was analyzed with ANOVA and Duncan Range Test would be used if the result was significantly different. The result showed that the density of wafer complete ration coffee waste was significantly (P 0.05) differences between of treatment. Mean density wafer complete ration equal to: P0= 0,520,03, P1 =0,670,04, P2 =0,720,03, and P3 = 0,760.05 g/cm3. Wafer complete ration coffee waste palatability was significantly (P 0.05) differences between of treatment. It is concluded that of wafer complete ration composition 5 and 7,5% coffee waste was significantly wafer palatability and gave a highest wafer density. The ration P0 was the most palatable compare to other treatments for the experimental peking duck.
