Abstract

In this research, proposed lighting in smartroom with PoE technology (Power over Ethernet). IT facility is PoE Switch, Ethernet Cable and LAN network. Smartroom in this study is defined as meeting room in a high rise building that has LAN network. This research is motivated by many lighting lamps that use AC power, when the future use of AC source will be reduced, even with PoE switch voltage source still use AC, but can eliminate the pitch of light that still uses conventional AC. Building infrastructure systems tend to be developed towards IP protocols. An area where the electrical area becomes fully integrated into the IP network. This is made possible through the use of LED with low voltage and low current. However, in order to utilize the technical and economic advantages offered by LED Lighting Solutions, the addition of light sensor and motion as a switch will make it more complete. The results of the study obtained a cheaper cost than the use without PoE.

Abstract

This activity provides knowledge about the basics and latest applications in the field of Robotics, especially industrial robots and teaches students to be able to assemble robots. 4 Degree of Freedom Arm Robot is a set of mechanical and electronic tools (mechatronics) that can carry out physical tasks, with 4 degrees of freedom of arm movement robots, namely 1 forward-backward, 2 left-right, 3 up-down. Then there are also three movements at the wrist, namely 4 yaw, 5 pitch and 6 roll. The robot arms have functions to move objects with control using a joystick. With the hope that it can make human work easier in moving objects. To be able to provide students with an understanding of robotics, qualified teachers are needed who have mastered the field of electrical engineering, especially robotics. From the comparison of test results before and after participating in activities by students, a significant increase in knowledge was obtained. Apart from that, students also succeeded in assembling a robot using the materials and components provided.

Abstract

This study explores an alternative method of generating electrical energy using a thermoelectric generator that utilizes heat from the soleplate of a steam iron and six thermoelectric units connected in series. Based on the Seebeck effect, the thermoelectric modules convert the temperature difference into voltage. An increase in the heat source temperature leads to higher voltage production by the series-connected thermoelectric modules, although the electrical power output depends on the connected load. The power generator design includes thermoelectric modules, a buck-boost converter, an 18650 lithium-ion battery, and a 5-watt, 12-volt DC lamp. The study addresses key aspects such as the impact of temperature on power output in series-connected and parallel-connected thermoelectric circuits, and the efficient conversion of heat from the steam iron soleplate into electrical energy. The research objectives are threefold: to determine power and temperature values for series-connected thermoelectric circuits, to evaluate power and temperature values for parallel-connected thermoelectric circuits, and to utilize heat from the steam iron soleplate as a thermoelectric heat source for generating electrical energy. Testing involved a buck-boost converter connected to a battery, producing 12.35 volts with a temperature difference of 49°C. Design enhancements, such as integrating heatsinks or coolers on the cold side of the modules to maintain a significant temperature differential, are critical for optimizing performance.

Abstract

Industri otomotif di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang pesat, didorong oleh teknologi manufaktur. Namun, industri ini juga membawa dampak salah satunya berupa tingginya tingkat kebisingan dalam proses produksinya yang menimbulkan polusi suara dan berdampak pada kesehatan pekerja. Rancangan sistem ini dibuat sebagai penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeteksi tingkat kebisingan dari sebuah mesin press yang dapat di monitoring dari jarak jauh menggunakan aplikasi blynk di smartphone dan perangkat komputer. Output yang di keluarkan dari sensor suara diproses oleh mikrokontroler ModeMCU ESP8266 untuk memberikan hasil pengukuran serta penyimpanan data hasil pengukuran tingkat kebisingan pada mesin press otomotif, yang kemudian ditampilkan pada layar LCD dan aplikasi blynk. Pengujian sistem monitoring menggunakan aplikasi blynk dengan uji konektivitas dan indikator tingkat kebisingan sudah sesuai dengan pembacaan pada alat. Hasil pengukuran tingkat kebisingan dilakukan pada empat jarak yang berbeda yaitu 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm. Dengan menggunakan dua alat Sound Level Meter GM1352 dan alat mikrokontroler. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan pada mesin press memiliki rata-rata error sekitar 3,24% dengan tingkat akurasi 96,76%, Pada jarak pengukuran 25 cm. Hasil ini mendekati pembacaan dari alat sound level meter GM1352. The automotive industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, driven by manufacturing technology. However, this industry also has impacts, one of which is high levels of noise in the production process, which causes noise pollution and has an impact on workers' health. This system design was created as research which aims to detect the noise level of a press machine which can be monitored remotely using the blynk application on smartphones and computer devices. The output from the sound sensor is processed by the ModeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller to provide measurement results and data storage of noise level measurement results on automotive press machines, which are then displayed on the LCD screen and blynk application. Testing the monitoring system using the blynk application with connectivity tests and noise level indicators is in accordance with the readings on the equipment. The results of noise level measurements were carried out at four different distances, namely 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm. Using two GM1352 Sound Level Meters and a microcontroller. The measurement results show that the noise level on the press machine has an average error of around 3.24% with an accuracy level of 96.76%, at a measuring distance of 25 cm. This result is close to the reading from the GM1352 sound level meter.

Abstract

Energy is an object that can move through essentialreactions; increasing population growth is one of the factors forincreasing energy needs. One of the initiatives initiated was thecreation of a Thermal Electric Generator (TEG). The formulationof the problem in this study is to determine the output voltage,current, and power generated by the thermoelectric as analternative energy and to determine the effect of temperature onthe thermoelectric. The goal is to determine the amount of outputthe thermoelectric generates when it gets a heat source from thedispenser. The data source in this study was obtained from testingthe tools made. The test results show the effect of temperature onthe thermoelectric tested for 120th minutes test of max 5.96 Voltswith a water temperature in the dispenser tank of 73C withoutusing a step up using six pieces of thermoelectric arranged inseries.

Abstract

Saat ini Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang bergerak cepat dalam merespon perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi Mobile Cellular. Kebutuhan akan konsumsi data yang besar dan kecepatan data yang tinggi, menjadi factor utamanya. Saat ini Indonesia sudah mengimplementasikan teknologi 5G, tapi ironisnya jika melihat pada pemerataan jaringan di Indonesia, masih terdapat gap yang besar dengan teknologi sebelumnya, yaitu 4G LTE. Oleh karena belum optimalnya penggunaan dari teknologi 4G, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh penggunaan teknik Carrier Aggregation beserta antenna MIMO 8 x 8 dalam mempengaruhi data rate pada jaringan LTE – Advanced di Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan studi kasus dari penelitian – penelitian sebelumnya. Dari penelitian - penelitian tersebut dilakukan proses literatur review didapatkan gambaran trend Carrier Aggregation yaitu Inter Band Non – Contiguous pada band 1800 Mhz dan 2300 Mhz FDD - TDD total bandwith 40 Mhz. Kemudian dilakukan perancangan dan simulasi menggunakan software Atoll didapatkan 3 parameter keluaran yang akan dianalisa, yaitu RSRP, SINR dan throughput. Sebagai pembanding adalah KPI Operator, didapatkan nilai RSRP 54 % coverage area memiliki rentang nilai dari – 101 dBm sampai dengan -85 dBm dengan indikator baik. Pada nilai SINR, 95 % coverage area memilki rentang nilai 0 dB sampai dengan 30 dB dengan indikator baik dan pada throughput hasil dari simulasi Atoll didapatkan rata – rata throughput 434,13 Mbps sedangkan untuk Peak Actual Throughput hasil simulasi Atoll adalah 1.206,24 Mbps dan untuk perhitungan manual adalah 1.290,24 Mbps dimana hasil ini menunjukan indicator sangat baik.

Abstract

Sistem peringatan keamanan lalu lintas pada pertigaan jalan telah dikembangkan pada penelitian ini. Sistem ini dirancang untuk mengganti penggunaan rambu dan alat bantu seperti cermin yang kurang efektif karena keterbatasan bidang pantulan dan gangguan akibat kondisi cuaca. Sensor PIR dan mikrokontroler ESP8266 digunakan untuk pemrosesan program pendeteksi kendaraan yang mendekati area pertigaan dengan pembagian skema menggunakan modul DOT MATRIC219. Penelitian ini memberikan beberapa skema pesan seperti ”STOP”, ”SLOW”, dan “HATI-HATI” dalam pemberian perintah disertakan isarat lampu merah, kuning dan hijau sebagai peringatan konvensional. Metode perancangan menggunakan basic pemrograman Arduino IDE. Dengan penerapan peringatan, pengendara dari berbagai arah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kewaspadaan sehingga risiko kecelakaan di area pertigaan dapat dikurangi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sensor PIR dapat mendeteksi pergerakan ketika objek ditempatkan dengan jarak 50 cm sampai 325 cm dari sensor. Uji efektivitas sudut sensor PIR pada jarak 50 cm sampai 300 cm dengan sudut 0º sampai 60º sensor PIR dapat mendeteksi pergerakan. Logika sistem ESP8266 yang sudah diprogram berjalan dengan baik ketika menerima perintah maupun dalam keadaan standby. This study developed a traffic safety warning system for T-junctions. It replaces traditional signs and mirrors, which are often less effective due to limited reflection and adverse weather. Specifically, the system uses passive infrared (PIR) sensors and ESP8266 microcontrollers to detect vehicles, while the DOT MATRIC219 module handles message display. Warning messages like "STOP," "SLOW," and "CAUTION" are shown with red, yellow, and green lights. These alerts provide clear visual warnings. For system design, an approach with Arduino IDE programming was employed. The purpose of these warning signals is to improve driver vigilance from all directions and reduce accident risk at T-junctions. Experimental results show that the PIR sensor reliably detects movement at distances between 50 cm and 325 cm and is effective within an angle range of 0º to 60º from 50 cm to 300 cm. Finally, the programmed ESP8266 logic works correctly in both command and standby modes.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of interconnected devices that enables these objects to collect and exchange data. IoT offers an efficient solution for various fields, including the database recording of borrowing and returning calibration standard measuring instruments. This research aims to design and implement an automated IoT-based borrowing and returning system to support database recording effectiveness. The focus of this research includes the design of the borrowing and returning system, the method of transmitting data to Google Sheets, and email notifications when borrowing or returning activities occur. The research methods include the design of hardware consisting of a fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, ESP32 microcontroller, liquid crystal display (LCD), and 4x4 keypad, as well as database recording to Google Sheets utilizing Google Sheets scripts and email notifications via Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connection. The research results show that the system was successfully developed with a high success rate for personnel identification accuracy, reaching up to 92%, with an average identification time of 1.42 seconds. Additionally, the developed system proved to be an effective solution for replacing the manual borrowing system, based on a survey of laboratory personnel.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce services requires a solution to facilitate the delivery of packages from couriers to users while maintaining package security. This research aims to design an automatic package receiving box using an ESP32 microcontroller as the control unit. The research method uses a prototyping approach through the stages of problem identification, prototype design, implementation, and function testing. The system is equipped with a GM66 sensor to scan barcodes as package validation, a load cell sensor to detect the presence of packages, and a Telegram application as a communication medium with users. The design process includes hardware and software requirements analysis, schematic creation, and draft design. When the system operates, the barcode is scanned by the courier and verified with the receipt number stored in the database, and the locker door will open automatically if the data matches. The test results show that the system functions properly, the GM66 sensor can read the barcode accurately so that the door lock solenoid can open the locker, and the message on the LCD can be read by the courier. This system shows potential in improving security and efficiency of delivery in e-commerce services.
