Abstract

This research aims to determine the correlation between mathematics economics courses and an introduction to accounting. The reason for choosing the title is because there are many economic principles that use mathematics. Accounting has a close relationship with mathematics. Many students who master mathematics are considered able to solve accounting cases well too. The concept of the dual aspect, which is the basic concept of accounting, is expressed as a mathematical equation, called an accounting equation. Accounting calculations such as the calculation of depreciation, determination of loan installments, determination of cash prices in the case of the purchase of a lease and installment system require the use of mathematical techniques. All of this requires mathematical knowledge where the mastery of basic mathematical concepts is important for accounting students to master well in the Introduction to Accounting course. The samples of this research are students enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year. The results of this research, calculation of the correlation coefficient (r) = 4. Based on statistical calculations, it can be concluded that the mathematics economics course has a positive effect on the introductory accounting courses to D3 Accounting students at the University of Pamulang.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to map the various basic concepts of community empowerment to function mosques, actualize and develop socio-economic values. This research uses a qualitative research approach of participatory action research. namely interacting and socializing, so that it will improve capacity building and self-confidence from society. The research sites are Pondok Indah Grand Mosque and Jami’ Assakinah Mosque. The results of this study indicate that the role of the mosque in realizing the welfare of the community through UMKM is an actualization that is able to guarantee the economic independence of the community. It also helps the economic empowerment of the surrounding community, at the same time. The indicators found in these two mosques are the presences of professional and qualified personnel. They have the adequate infrastructure and strategic location surrounded by elite housing and offices. The mosque is easy to reach. Furthermore, it is close to objects that become empowerment, such as markets and street vendors. The economic empowerment of the mosque-based community was initiated by BMT, in order to optimize the function and role of the mosque as the center of civilization for the people and the economic welfare of the congregation or the community around the mosque. Besides that, it is also a strategy in order to empower the economy of the people by creating a Mosque Micro loan program (PMM). This program is designed for micro entrepreneurs who have difficulty obtaining or accessing capital. Keywords: mosque; economic empowerment; community welfare; UMKM

Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning outcomes in the Business Economics subject at vocational high schools remain below expectations, particularly when classroom instruction does not fully promote active student participation or integrate digital learning media effectively. This condition highlights the need to examine the integration of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model supported by Wordwall as an alternative approach to creating a more interactive learning experience. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the model based on students' average learning outcomes, classical learning mastery, and differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. A quantitative approach employing a quasi-experimental method was conducted with 80 tenth-grade students enrolled in the Office Management and Business Services (OTKP) program at SMK PUSTEK Serpong, selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected using pretests, posttests, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the One-Sample t-Test, One-Sample Binomial Test, and Independent Samples t-Test. The findings revealed that the experimental group achieved a mean learning outcome of 88.70, exceeding the benchmark score of 79, with a classical mastery rate of 95%. Furthermore, the experimental group's posttest mean score (88.70) was significantly higher than that of the control group (72.30). These findings demonstrate that integrating the Numbered Heads Together learning model with Wordwall effectively enhances students' learning outcomes while fostering greater classroom engagement, thereby providing empirical evidence to support the development of Business Economics instruction in vocational education.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of the Talking Stick learning model assisted by Question Card media in enhancing junior high school students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 63 students divided into an experimental and a control group. Data was collected through pretests and posttests, supported by interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed using an independent-samples t-test and a one sample t-test with SPSS. The results indicated a significant difference in mathematical problem-solving abilities between students taught using the Talking Stick Learning Model assisted by Question Cards and those taught using conventional methods. Furthermore, the mean posttest score of students in the experimental group (79.57) significantly exceeded the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 70. These findings suggest that the Talking Stick learning model assisted by Question Card media is effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.
