Abstract

Financial literacy is seen as an important instrument for the success of MSMEs, because it helps to understand and evaluate the information needed to make daily decisions that have a financial impact in daily company management. Improving the performance of MSMEs needs to be studied further to discuss, because MSMEs have an important role in a country’s finance. However by increasing knowledge about financial literacy it is difficult for MSMEs to improve their performance. The purpose of this study is to know the financial influence on the performance of the MSMEs Batik Tulis Lasem. The analysis technique uses simple linier regression. The result of this study show that financial literacy have positive and not significant effect on MSME performance, this caused by many things. MSME performance can affect many things and financial literacy according to the results of research in MSMe Batik Tulis Lasem is not a major factor affecting significant to performance. It can be predicted that according to respondents written by Batik Tulis Lasem, the performance of MSMEs can be supported by things other than financial literacy such as producyion and operational factors, human resource capabilities (HR) or also by marketing of the products.

Abstract

Management ability should be the activity that supports small and medium enterprises to be more effective and efficient in carrying out the enterprise in order to have high competitiveness. The problem occurred is there are many small and medium enterprises have poor management. The same problem also faced by Batik Tulis lasem industry, so the competitiveness of Batik Tulis Lasem industry is not optimal. This research aim is to obtain the proper enterprise management model as the effort to improve Batik Tulis Lasem competitiveness. Data analysis used is qualitative approach and SWOT analysis. The research result is the enterprise management model developed consists of production management, human resources management, marketing management and financing management. In implementing this enterprise management model is also developed criterion of enterprise performance measurement. The enterprise subjects have to carry out SWOT analysis for their enterprises, so the enterprises conditions and the competitor position this time can be identified.

Abstract

SMEs Batik Tulis Lasem as a regional product requires serious attention so that it has a competitive advantage, KUB Batik Tulis Lasem currently has a big enough role in product development and marketing for SMEs who are its members. However, program efforts and product development strategies, marketing techniques are still limited and government programs are still not on target. This condition causes Batik Tulis Lasem not having a high competitiveness. The aim of this research is to analyze the value chain of SMEs Batik Tulis Lasem using Value Chain Analysis. The method used is the Value Chain Analysis (VCA) approach combined with SWOT. The results of this study are for the priority of development strategies, it is obtained that KUB must do 1) innovate products, increase product variations 2) implement and optimize online marketing models 3) make attractive product packaging, 4) increase relationships with customers.
