Abstract

PT XYZ is a footwear manufacturing company that is part of a European company that seeks to implement QMS in every process to ensure customer satisfaction. In implementing QMS, PT XYZ strives to meet international quality standards to ensure the quality has been run competently. The standards used and which are being pursued by PT XYZ is ISO 9001:2015. Quality can be guaranteed one of them by holding Internal Audit which measure from ISO 19011:2011 based on clause 9.2 of ISO 9001:2015. PT XYZ has implemented ISO 19011:2011 but there needs to be additional related to monitoring and improvement or concern of control and act in PDCA cycle. Monitoring examines the program and audit results and analyzes related to the implementation of risk management findings. Improvement alludes to the recommendations of monitoring results. Complete auditing of the audit report, creating audit documents and auditor performance, feedback collection, training and evaluation of experts, deep and comprehensive internal audit surveys, and monitoring of departments/procedures related to the largest root cause. The addition of procedures can help to better monitor and make better decisions to improve the next internal audit.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the lead time of container cycle for Surabaya-Banjarmasin-Surabaya route in PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL). For a single trip route, each container will go through at least 17 times of status displacement. Software Process Simulator is used to provide a comprehensive insight and depth understanding on the status displacement. It simulates the container’s status displacements through the whole process. The Pareto Chart of the simulation results indicates that the FXD (Full ex-discharge) status and FTL (Full to Load) status have a lot of room to be improved. The results of this study, suggests to increase the demurrage cost by 30% from the initial price so that the time needed for FXD status is not too long. Additionally, for the FTL status, the proposed solution ns are to exert weighing and reexamine on the container’s seal before the ‘Surat Penyerahan Container’ (SPC) is given to the administrator and to eliminate the “administator confirmation” activity from ship operation protocols. By the simulation the lead time of the whole process will reduce by 12.7 hours.

Abstract

PT Sinar Djaja Can is a manufacturing company which produces cans with 2 cate­g­o­r­i­es­, food and general can. There are 3 kinds of demand on general can, one of them is coffee can tha­t will be discussed in this study. The company request a balance line design in coffee can pro­d­u­c­tion. The design to analyzes production line through a line balancing method. The method is us­e­d for balancing line production, in addition to increase production output and maximalize pro­d­u­c­tion line efficiency. Line balancing method is done by maximizing company efficiency. The de­sign improvement may increase product output and also company efficiency. Production ou­t­p­u­t is increased to 4214 products per shift from 1598 products per shift, line efficiency is increased b­y 17,15% from 59,25%, while company efficiency is increased by 236,87% from 76,51% without ad­­d­i­ng new operator
