Abstract

The purpose of this study is to minimize man power cost. The main problem of this company is that ineffective time by workers at delivery area is very big. It happens because supervisor does not count the time that workers need to do their job yet. The improvements for this problem are giving total number of man power according the standard time and making a preparation schedule so every shift has a balance workload.

Abstract

This company is a well-known non-stick cookwares manufacturer company for Indonesia and abroad. This thesis is subjected to how improvement plan Safety and Healthy Work Management System in company is suitable based on government criterion. The Safety and Healthy Work Management System verification is based on percentage of criterion by government. The percentage of suitable Safety and Healthy Work activities activities is 68,9%, that means company obedience level on government criterion is good. The Safety and Healthy Work Management System also has maturity level of implementation system. As the company is with intermediate risk, the percentage of maturity level is 91,80% from 122 criterias. Improvement suggestion is prospected to improve Safety and Healthy Work Management System implementation in company which later can be occur if there are any commitment and responsibility between top management and workers.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Feedmill Balaraja is a company that produce animal feed. One of the main processes that influence the hand add process to determine the level of food quality itself. The process carried out in the hand add area is the weighing of the seasoning material to be produced. The quantity and type of material to be weighed is also on request from the PPIC Department that determines the feed code to be produced.The environment in the hand add area itself in terms of Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain not seen in the area of the hand add area. One of the improvement efforts that can be done by applying the 5S method. Improvements using the 5S method can fix up the hand add area and improve operator performance. The increase in performance hand add operator is 20,6%.

Abstract

PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Feedmill is one of the largest animal feed companies in Indonesia. One of the obstacles experienced by PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Feedmill Balaraja is the downtime due to the replacement of the (sifter change) sieve fabric that is on the pellet machine 7. The frequency of downtime caused by the replacement (sifter change) of this sieve cloth occurs 2-3 times in 1 month. The method used to solve and analyze downtime problems is to use DMAIC with the five why's Analyze tool. There are several factors that cause downtime because the fabric is not strong vibration sieve, the fabric is too tight, and blacu material is not durable. Proposed improvements made is to install verloop and change the installation method of the sieve fabric. The result of the improvement is reduced the frequency of downtime to 2 times in 2 months and reduce waste cost. The Results of the implementation will be compared in the last 2 months, February and March 2018, company achieve cost savings Rp. 194.645.793,00 in terms of pellet, while in terms of packging Rp. 193.208.052,00. Another Sugesstion is to control the sieve fabric by the checklist.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of heat exchangers. PT XYZ has a make to order demand fulfillment strategy with large product variations. The existing production process at the company consists of several lines, one of which is the SS-CS line. SS-CS line has a bottleneck in one of the processes, which is welding process. The welding process itself is done by welder and welding preparation operator. The number of welders and welding preparation operators is considered unbalanced, causing a bottleneck in the welding process. The purpose of this research is to find the optimal number of welder and welding preparation operator so that the welding process no longer having bottleneck. The optimal number of welder through calculation result and simulation is 16 people while operator welding preparation is 7 people. The output produced with the optimal number of workers can reach more than 2 times the original condition. The average utility of both types of workers is over 90% and is almost balanced with a 5.98% difference. By implementing this proposal, the company can save Rp. 504,523.90 per month in terms of not needing anymore overtime costs that have been issued and the salary addition of workers to be issued.

Abstract

Two mathematical model of inventories are analised. The aim of these models are minimizing the total cost of inventories on a company and its distributor. The first mathematical model is IDQ (Identical Delivery Quantity) model, i.e. the amount of delivery to distributor is identically for every replenishment. The second one is DWP (Delivery What is Produced) model, i.e. the amount of delivery to distributor is not identically for every replenishmen, all of distributor's inventories are supplied to distributor. Both of these models, handling the coorporation of inventory control between company and one distributor. At the end of this paper, will be showed a numerical example and from it will be analized in which situations one of these models is the best. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dua buah model matematis persediaan terintegrasi dianalisis. Kedua model bertujuan untuk meminimumkan total biaya persediaan dari sebuah perusahaan dan distributornya yang saling terkoordinasi dan bekerjasama. Model matematis tersebut adalah model IDQ (Identical Delivery Quantity), jumlah pengiriman produk kepada distributor adalah sama pada setiap pengiriman, dan kedua adalah model DWP (Delivery What is Produced), jumlah pengiriman kepada distributor adalah bervariasi pada setiap pengiriman, yaitu semua persediaan yang tersedia pada perusahaan saat itu dikirim ke distributor. Pada bagian akhir dari makalah ini akan ditampilkan sebuah contoh numeris, yang daripadanya akan diperlihatkan dalam keadan bagaimana sebaiknya satu diantara kedua model dipilih. Abstract

In practice, the certainess assumption for parameters in linear programming are difficult to pullfiled. The uncertainties are sometimes coming from subjective and intuitive policies. To solve and accommodate these problems, will be approximated by fuzzy set theory. In this article, modeling of linear programming with fuzzy set will be discussed, followed by two cases with membership function are trapezoidal and triangular. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Asumsi kepastian nilai-nilai parameter, dalam pengambilan keputusan yang dimodelkan dengan programa linier, dalam praktek sering sulit dipenuhi. Ketidakpastian yang muncul kadang diakibatkan oleh suatu kebijakan yang intuitif dan subjektif. Untuk memecahkan dan mengakomodasi ketidakpastian seperti tersebut, akan didekati dengan teori himpunan fuzzy. Dalam makalah ini, pemodelan programa linier dengan teori himpunan fuzzy tersebut, akan didiskusikan dengan dua kasus, masing-masing dengan menggunakan fungsi keanggotaan linier, yaitu trapezoida dan triangular. Kata kunci: programa linier, himpunan fuzzy.

Abstract

In this article is developed a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to solve a budget allocation problem to the decision-making units (DMU's) in an organisation. The allocation is depend on multi-input/output. To develop the model is used some of numerical examples. The results of calculation by DEA model are an optimum budget allocation in lower and upper bound and a fix value between them Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam artikel ini dikembangkan sebuah model data envelopment analysis (DEA) untuk memecahkan masalah pengalokasian anggaran ke masing-masing unit pengambil keputusan (UPK) dalam sebuah organisasi, yang mempertimbangkan multi-input/output. Dalam mengembangkan model, dilakukan dengan beberapa contoh numeris. Hasil perhitungan dengan model DEA ini, didapatkan alokasi anggaran optimal yang berupa batas bawah dan atas serta nilai alokasi diantara kedua nilai tersebut. Kata kunci : data envelopment analysis, efisiensi, alokasi anggaran.

Abstract

This paper discusses a jobs scheduling on a single machine to minimize variance of job completion time. The objective is especially important in situations where it is desirable to provide customers or jobs with approximately the same treatment. In this case, data are collected from P.T. 'XYZ'. The focus of discussion is LB/KB Departement (Leather Board/Carton Board) with carton board's production line, which produces carton board. Carton board's size is 150 x 110 cm and its thickness from 0,6 mm to 2,5 mm. In this paper a comparison analysis, the deviation of the objective value given by a heuristic (Vh) method from the objective value given by P.T. 'XYZ' (Vp), is made. The percentage of deviation Vh from Vp is 50,36 %, which shows that the performance of heuristic is better, that is variance of job completion time by heuristic method smaller than by P.T. 'XYZ'. Besides the above discussion, the weakness dan superiority of heuristic are analyzed too. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Makalah ini membahas penjadwalan jobs pada single machine dengan tujuan meminimumkan varians waktu penyelesaian job, yaitu untuk memberikan konsumen atau jobs kurang lebih perlakuan yang sama. Data yang diambil dalam pembahasan ini berasal dari perusahaan P.T. 'XYZ', di mana departemen yang menjadi fokus pembahasan adalah Departemen LB/KB (Leather Board/Karton Board) dengan lintasan produksi karton board yang menghasilkan produk carton board ukuran 150 x 110 cm, dengan ketebalan 0,6 mm sampai dengan 2,5 mm. Dalam makalah ini dilakukan analisis perbandingan jadwal jobs pada proses produksi di perusahaan yang telah ada dengan jadwal jobs menggunakan metode heuristic, yaitu menggunakan persentase penyimpangan Vh (varians waktu penyelesaian jobs metode heuristic) dari Vp (varians waktu penyelesaian jobs perusahaan). Dari hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa persentase penyimpangan Vh dari Vp sebesar 50,36%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa performance metode heuristic lebih baik, yaitu varians waktu penyelesaian jobs-nya lebih kecil daripada metode perusahaan. Selain itu, dalam makalah juga dianalisis kelemahan dan keunggulan metode heuristic yang digunakan dalam penjadwalan pada single machine. Kata kunci : penjadwalan single-machine, varians waktu penyelesaian, prosedur heuristic.

Abstract

The paper discusses the decision making problem for worker selection. To solved this problem is applied the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process, development of the ordinary Analytical Hierarchy Process which created to handle the subjectivity of multi-criteria. The best choice by Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process showed that subjectivities criteria have been included comparing by the ordinary Analytical Hierarchy Process. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Makalah ini membahas mengenai masalah pengambilan keputusan untuk memilih alternatif karyawan terbaik. Untuk memecahkan masalah ini digunakan Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process, pengembangan Analytical Hierarchy Process konvensional yang dirancang untuk menangani permasalahan yang kriteria-kriterianya lebih banyak bersifat subjektif. Pilihan karyawan terbaik dengan Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process menunjukkan bahwa subjektifitas kriteria sangat diperhatikan dibandingkan dengan menggunakan Analytical Hierarchy Process konvensional. Kata kunci: Analytical Hierarchy Process, Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process.
