PT. X is a company engaged in manufacturing and offset printing services. Problems contained in PT. X that is often a change of head of department in PPIC in accordance with the existing job description. The purpose of this study is reducing the labor costs and evaluating the workload on the PPIC department. The steps that performed is observing labor activity, and the data of productive time will be processed by using the method of Full Time Equivalent (FTE). FTE will be the company as the determination in the number of standard labor of PPIC department. The result of FTE Staff Administration is 1.062578 in which it takes one person. FTE Staff  Inventory of  Paper is 1.2277 in which it takes one person. FTE Staff  Inventory of  Ink and Supporting Material is 1.1428 2277 in which it takes one person. FTE Staff  Planner Offset is 1.147276  in which it takes one person. FTE Staff Planner Finishing is 1.2925 in which it means overloaded, but it needs a change of working method, so it only takes 1 person. Abstract

This research focuses on centralization of heat treatment process at PT. XYZ. The process of centralization of heat treatment aims to maximize the function of the existing sanyung furnace machine in plant 3, where the sanyung furnace machine has a capacity three times larger than other furnace machines. This centralization process requires stock chain components and layout in accordance with the calculation of stock components. The stock components required to carry out this centralized heat treatment process are 290 AHD containers at plant 1, 81 AHD containers at plant 3, and 189 BHD containers in plant 3. The area required to hold the AHD component in plant 1 is 398 M² , While the area required to accommodate the AHD and BHD components in Plant 3 is 115 m² and 283 M². Centralized heat treatment process can generate profit per month as much as Rp. 84,377,043, while the investment cost required to run the centralization of this heat treatment process is as much as Rp. 135,000,000.

Abstract

Project Material Planning is a project that regulates the priority of material production to help increase the production capacity of PT.X. PT. X can increase production and reduce losstime shortage material by using digital dashboard material (DMD), in addition to the existing data quality can be improved to facilitate data processing for improvement by management. The data contained in the DMD is a combination of data from PPC, engginering and Production Departments containing spec item, stock of goods, capacity of material production machine. This final project aims to increase the production of PT. X and improve the quality of data on the production floor. DMD uses the concept of single source in order to more easily do control and data used the same for each department.

Abstract

Line Cu process flow have buildup of output in some operations because the amount of labor and line balance is not optimal. Existing problems require working observations to make suitable improvement designs. Observations were made by measuring directly using the stopwatch method. Observation results are used to determine the amount of labor and the optimal division of work stations with line balancing method. The improvement that writer propose is changing the number of workers and stations. Number of workers from improvement is 12 people and 6 stations from 7 stations. Reduced number of stations came from combined of 2 stations, which is washing and testing process. The result of writer’s improvement is reduced labor cost for one coil and increased number of outputs.
