Abstract

Mental wellness is one of the important aspects in social life especially in Indonesia since there are many calamities that can influence the mental welness of the society. The situation in the area of calamities is considered not condusive for the people to struggle and they have high risk to some health problems. Community empowerment is one of strategy to help people in struggling to face the situation. The study aim is to find out the influence of psychosocial intervention through community empowerment on the knowledge and skill in tackling and preventing psychosocial problems post traumatic condition.The study use quasi experiment design with pre and post test and has been done in flood area in Andir and Bale Endah Districs. The intervention has been done within 3 weeks. The result of the study revealed that the intervention program can increase the knowledge and skill in tackling the calamities significantly (p=0,000) before and after intervention in both groups. Therefore, the intervention module can be used as a tool in helping the community in facing the mental disorder and other psychosocial problems.

Abstract

Early childhood development has an important role in the development of an individual. In order for a child to have good development, it is necessary to carry out early detection of the child's growth and development with the aim of achieving optimization of a child's development. Data shows an increase in the prevalence of parents who do not regularly monitor their children's growth and development. Monitoring the growth and development of toddlers is carried out in conjunction with early detection of developmental disorders in toddlers so that intervention and simulation can provide optimal results. This community service activity aims to determine children's developmental growth and deviations that occur as well as providing education to parents, especially about the growth and development of pre-school children and the factors that support children's growth and development. The target of the activity is pre-school children and mothers/parents of Prima Bhakti Kindergarten students. The method used in the activity is the KPSP child growth and development detection instrument and to increase parents' knowledge about growth and development, it is carried out through counseling, question and answer discussions and demonstrations on how to stimulate children's growth and development. The results of early detection of growth assessment using the WHO curve showed that 95% had normal stature and normal nutrition and 5% were malnourished. Examination of children's development with the KPSP instrument was 100% developmentally appropriate. The education provided to parents shows that they are active participants in question and answer discussion activities and demonstrations of growth and development stimulation.

Abstract

Ekosistem menyediakan berbagai layanan/jasa yang fundamental pentingnya bagi kesejahteraan, kesehatan, mata pencaharian, dan kelangsungan hidup manusia.jasa ekosistem terdiri dari jasa penyediaan, pengaturan, pendukung dan kultural. Jasa penyediaan ekosistem meliputi hasil-hasil yang diperoleh dari ekosistem, misalnya makanan, kayu bakar dan serat. Jasa pengaturan, misalnya penataan iklim dan kontrol terhadap penyakit. Jasa pendukung, misalnya proses pembentukan tanah dan siklus hara. Jasa kultural, misalnya manfaat spiritual dan keindahan. Banyak dari jasa ekosistem dianggap barang umum atau sumber daya umum, sehingga sering dianggap tidak bernilai. Pengukuran nilai jasa ekosistem dalam terminologi moneter atau dikenal sebagai valuasi ekosistem membantu membuat jasa tersebut kelihatan dan memastikan bahwa keuntungan-keuntungan dari keanekaragaman hayati dan jasa ekosistem secara efektif diperhitungkan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Aplikasi konsep valuasi ekosistem dalam dunia pendidikan perlu memperhatikan jenjang pendidikan. Untuk tingkat SD dan SMP mungkin belum saatnya untuk mengenalkan konsep ini. Tetapi untuk tingkat SMA sebaiknya mulai diperkenalkan konsep fungsi dan jasa ekosistem. Untuk tingkat strata 1 disarankan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar valuasi ekosistem, misalnya pengenalan konsep nilai ekonomi total (Total Economic Value/TEV).dengan diketahuinya TEV suatu ekosistem, maka akan ditemukan real price dan real cost dari ekosistem tersebut. Real cost menunjukkan besaran investasi yang dapat dialokasikan untuk konservasi ekosistem tersebut.
