Abstract

Increasing the ability of blind children can be done through by reading skills. A total blind person is in desperate need of braille to be able to read and get important information. Not only the letters of the Braille alphabet, the blind are also expected to be able to understand the Arabic braille letters, one of which is to facilitate reading Braille Quran. The purpose of the study are identify customer needs, technical characteristics, product specifications and product design, find out the material used, and estimate the total cost to make one product. Products are designed using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and product visualization using CATIA. Customer needs for arabic letter braille toys are interesting, not boring, the material used is non-toxic, the material is not easily broken, not easily damaged, toys are easily stored, not too big, not heavy, easy to use, not harmful when used, and multifunctional toys. The product technical characteristics are shape, material type, weight, length, width, and height. The specifications of product are box shape design, the material used is Dutch teak, product size is 27 x 19.5 x 15 cm, product weight is 979gr. The estimated total cost for braille Arabic toy is Rp.131,936.

Abstract

Candi Loka is a company engaged in the food sector, especially in producing green tea. Technology in the food sector is currently growing rapidly, resulting in a competitive competition. Candi Loka requires superior human resources to produce a high quality product. To realize this, it is necessary to carry out work with high accuracy and concentration by competent workers in their fields. The working conditions carried out by competent workers need to be considered because they greatly affect the work productivity. Uncomfortable working conditions will affect workers to have Musculoskeletal Disorders. The purpose of this study was to identify the musculoskeletal disorders developed by green tea production employees at Candi Loka and to identify the work posture of green tea production employees. Through this research, an assessment to find out the musculoskeletal disorders and to assess the work posture of workers in the green tea production section was carried out by using the QEC method. Pain complaints related to the musculoskeletal disorders that many workers in the green tea production department had were pain in the neck, shoulders, arms and back with a score of 40 and a proportion of 6.51%. The assessment of work posture by using the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method for green tea processing workers had 79.09% E value with an action level of 4 and was included in the category of very dangerous risks and further action was needed as soon as possible, while tea sorting workers Green had an E value of 84.09% with an action level of 4 and was included in the very dangerous risk category and needed further action as soon as possible.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate distillation process of Citronella Grass (Cymbopogon nardus) essential oil and determine the effect of heating temperature on oil quality, which significantly influences the market value. The study procedures were carried out by developing a virtual model of distillation apparatus using Digital Twin (DT) approach, integrating Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to stimulate fluid behavior as it transitioned from vapor to liquid during distillation. The core of DT is in the virtual model development and three-dimensional (3D) geometric representations of system. The methodology comprised creating 3D geometric model of distillation setup, followed by mesh generation as well as setting of boundary conditions and computational parameters. In addition, numerical iterations were used to refine the process, leading to the analysis of CFD visualizations. The convergent result showed that the developed model was accurate at 300 iterations. Observations confirmed the occurrence of vapor to liquid phase change in the spiral pipe, with vapor density below 1 kg/m3 and liquid density between 800-1000 kg/ m3. Temperature monitoring showed a reduction from 120◦C in distillation tank to 24-26◦C post-condenser, which was similar to the observed range of 25-30◦C. Further temperature exchange in the reservoir was stimulated and observed in 36-38◦C. The result also showed that DT model created using CFD was capable of reflecting the real conditions observed.

Abstract

Small business actors are currently facing many challenges, where competition from the small business sector itself is getting tougher and facing the COVID-19 pandemic situation that hit Indonesia in early 2020, this is the biggest challenge faced by business actors, especially small businesses, small business actors may lose many consumers who transact offline. In order to survive, small business actors try new alternatives, namely by selling digitally or online. Researchers identify that the application of digital transformation can improve company performance supported by factors that influence digital transformation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the factors that support digital transformation and analyze the effect of digital transformation on company performance. This research proves that the application of digital transformation in a business or business can improve business performance for a company or organization.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the elements affecting the compliance of individual taxpayers in Indonesia. This study will focus on the role of taxpayer awareness and tax center activities in affecting compliance. Method: In this research, the author intends to examine the variables in question, in which a quantitative approach will be used. In this case, the author used a structured questionnaire to collect the primary data, which was distributed to 285 respondents who were selected using the purposive sampling method. This research is based on a taxonomy of three exogenous variables: tax knowledge, ease of administration, and law enforcement, which is in turn is impacted by a mediating variable, taxpayer awareness, a moderating variable of tax center activity, and an endogenous variable of taxpayer compliance. The data collected will be processed using descriptive statistics and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Results: Law enforcement, tax knowledge, and ease of administration increases taxpayer awareness and compliance. It has been shown that taxpayer awareness mediates the relationship between these three variables and compliance. Tax center activities moderate the relationship between tax knowledge and awareness, but do not moderate the relationship of ease of administration and law enforcement on tax awareness. Novelty: This research is innovative because it incorporates tax center activity both as a moderating variable and taxpayer awareness as a mediating variable within a single structural model. More specifically, this study aids in the empirical understanding of the tax center’s limitations, which seem to be more effective in reinforcing the educative (knowledge) dimension rather than the administrative/law enforcement dimension.
